Can't remember if there was a specific film thread so here goes.

Anyone been/going to the cinema to see anything in particular?

I've been to see Inception and Toy Story 3 recently. Both were fantastic. Saw Toy Story in 3D but I'm not overly sure that it was necessary, but that doesn't detract from the fact that it was a great film. Fitting way to end the trilogy

Sadly this future started quite a while ago. I miss the days of watching things on set days, then chatting about them at work, and looking forward to 'next week'. What an old man thing to say.

  • No one watch films anymore 🤔 Ten months and no posts 😲 Watched "I Swear" last night. A true story of tourettes sufferer John Davidson from Galashiels. Starting with him going to seconda

Just watched 'the fighter' with Mark Wahlberg & Christian Bale. Good film worth watching.

Thought it was ok - desperately wanting to be an Oscar movie I'd say the Wrestler did it better and clearly Raging Bul and Rocky come across (IMO) as better movies...

As for other "Oscar buzz" movies... Black Swan was ok, again a bit needy, quite liked "The American" and I've got The Tourist and The King's Speech to watch...

You just had a wank in the cinema didn't you?

I was tempted, was sat right at the back aswell but my mates would have got freaked out :(

Just because someone sits near you doesn't mean they are your mate  ::)

went to see Green hornet last night. Decent at a few bits but mostly shite. Saw an ad for Thor too - that also looks shite.

Batman and Ironman really changed the direction of superheroes movies i'd thought but it seems we are going back to the "its a superhero we just need big bangs and loud noises and 'cool' things in it..." or maybe I'm getting old.  :(

I thought it was rubbish

Watched Baseketball again tonight.  Cracks me up everytime.  Parker and Stone are geniuses.

Funnily enough, thats exactly what we did... Free cinema is the way forward.

I went to see The King's Speech tonight - sceptical at first, but thought it was fantastic. Go see it.

Saw Gran Torino and Invictus in the last couple of days.

I'd recommend both

They're both complete idiots. That show has been completely ruined by them.  :hammer:

Is the right answer, brutally poor.

Mark Kermode gave it a good review.

watched once the other day. It was truly awful.

Incidentally, I watched American Splendor today (biopic about Harvey Pekar, obviously). Very enjoyable.

First time I've seen it since Claudia took over, only tuned in to see what they made of Neds and they both liked it.

That'll be the first time I've ever agreed with them then, NEDS is a very good film.
