Can't remember if there was a specific film thread so here goes.

Anyone been/going to the cinema to see anything in particular?

I've been to see Inception and Toy Story 3 recently. Both were fantastic. Saw Toy Story in 3D but I'm not overly sure that it was necessary, but that doesn't detract from the fact that it was a great film. Fitting way to end the trilogy

Sadly this future started quite a while ago. I miss the days of watching things on set days, then chatting about them at work, and looking forward to 'next week'. What an old man thing to say.

  • No one watch films anymore 🤔 Ten months and no posts 😲 Watched "I Swear" last night. A true story of tourettes sufferer John Davidson from Galashiels. Starting with him going to seconda

My mate has been raving about The Social Network, surprised it was only average on your list. I would have thought Saw 3D would be horrendously bad.

The south park inception episode goes into my top five south parks of all time.  Went to see inception a few months back with a friend.  Now maybe i just naturally find things not to like in films that others rave about but ultimately inception bored the shit out of me.  It had some nice ideas but i just didnt see what all the fuss was about.  Later that week a boy at work was trying to convince me it was the best film ever made.....................  a film about trying to collapse a business empire?  sheesh.  I was so fucking delighted when matt and trey got stuck into it.

Thought the social network was ridiculously average too

Agreed. Didn;t think Inception was particularly good.

And I hear what you're saying about The Social Network. That's why it was "only average" on my list.

By the way one that I've seen recently that I forgot to put on that list.. Buried. Horrible film. I was so bored.

Harry Potter 7 Part 1 is brilliant - best film so far

Saw The Departed, fucking excellent.

I thought it was quite poor. I was sceptical when I heard they had split the final book into two films. I'm not convinced they couldn't have made just the one.

Also, is it just me or does anyone else think Daniel Radcliffe is a poor actor??

I thought it was the worst one sofar tbh  :-\

I agree it should have only been 1 film.

Really! Have you read the books cause I thought it was the closest one yet to the story - I haven't been a huge fan of the films so far

Me neither. Think I've seen the first two films and then just watched The Deathly Hallows a week ago. No been a big fan of the films, give me the books anyway!

Anyone seen Unstoppable yet? I quite like Denzel Washington so was going to go and see this. That 127 hours looks a very good watch too.

Watched Se7en on TCM last night. Always a good watch.

I've been recommended Inception. A friend said it was a cracking film, and although I have not watched this yet - it is on my 'will watch' list.

I watched the expendables the other day.

It was fucking awful. Truly awful as well.

Thanks it will save me watching it

What about Inception have you seen it and if so is it any good

It was okish.

So watch half of it Caledonia.

Watched Knight & Day this morning in bed.

Apart from Cameron Diaz it was very average.

Going to watch inception later on i think.

Went to see Black Swan last night, very weird, but had a good lesbian scene  ;D

Inception was watched last night.

I would give it an 8/10.

Inception was really good. I'd say it's more than worth a watch.

Anyone seen Into The Wild? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758758/ It was on Film 4 on Wednesday night but I only caught it half-way through. Very good film about a story I had never heard of and quite interesting.

Started to watch it on Film 4 a few weeks ago but never really got into it and ended up switching over after half an hour.

just watched Down Terrace, it's good, pretty funny british gangster film.  also watched The Chaser on Film4 and other than the very harrowing chisel through some skulls it was watchable for a Korean thriller.

a Korean thriller.
