Hibs have been pretty average, wish we were that exciting.Aouchiche has looked lively, but not coming off for him.A lot of our build up up has been too obvious or cautious.

Maybe Shinnie and Lazetic on 2nd half. Still winnable

auchiche, palaversa, jenson off.

Clarkson, Dorrington, Milanovic on.

I'd agree with the 3 coming off, not sure about the 3 coming on - I'dve thought Shinnie or Polvara would get a shout.  I assume Lazetic is coming on at around the 60 mark.

That was crap. Milanovic and keskinen were pointless. Just play them on their right feet and get crosses in.

Out defence isn't fit. Totally outpaced and bullied.

Oh yeah and mitov can fuck off. He never came for a cross all day, put in half an effort at that second goal. That's a goal where the keeper scrambles and makes it really hard. He gives 50 percent goes down accepting defeat.

We play as 11 individuals rather than as a team. And we have some very good individuals, and that's why even today when we're poor all over the park, we still look like we can nick something.

I've been Thelin's number one fan, but today is the first time I'm really beginning to doubt him. There's little individual changes (Keskinen gave us a bit more down the left than Molloy for example, Lazetic looked more dangerous than Nisbet), but Thelin never really got a grip of the game. Often it's 'change personnel and hope the same system and tactics suddenly spring into life.'

I think @RicoS321kinda alluded to it before the game when he said a 3-5-2 / 5-3-2 (however you want to see it) with two up front would perhaps be a better system. We definitely needed an extra man in midfield (we eventually did with Devlin, but at the expense of making it easier for Hibs to hit us on the break), while going forward there's always a player in that number 10 position not part of the attack and therefore it's easy for Hibs to overload the striker. That spare man is either too deep or too wide, and we don't have enough outlets to hit.

Huge Wednesday now away to Kilmarnock. Do we rock up with the same system after conceding eight in two games (and in both games it could have been much more) with just a few personnel changes, or does Thelin look at trying to change it?

I doubt Thelin makes it to Thursday. Cormack was at game and did not look a happy man. When chairman starts getting it in the neck the manager is usually the one to pay.

That was embarrassing today beaten by an at best average Hibs team. We had no cohesion at all. As Panda said looked like 11 individuals rather than a team. Some of players look like they are not good enough for this level including several brought in over the summer.

Thing is who do we bring in to sort this mess.

Didn’t see much of today, had the joy of going to a pumpkin patch with the kids, but from what did see, topi isn’t very good/good enough for what we expect, milanovic looks like he’s getting worse so I assume has no confidence, aouchiche is the new okkels, and nisbet is shit. Makes it hard to be successful when your front 4 / players you expect to get you weekly goals and assists are gash.

I do agree we’ve signed players who may not be good enough, we don’t have a stand out center mid (I’d say Armstrong is our best), and the only legit wide player is a loanee. Weve invested in foreign imports who aren’t showing they are good enough. We’ve also gone all in on inverted wingers which hasn’t worked and I’d kill for the likes of Morris right now, who was also not a legit starter for us.

Agreed

See my comment on the Jimmy Thelin thread

Hope he walks before he gets booted though

As said,we were often disjointed, too individual.I think if we worked on quicker more cohesive build up play it would make a difference.

Still want it to work for Jimmy, cant see him being sacked this week.Needs to come up with a formula within the next few games,or it will get toxic.....again

I think he gives him Wednesday. But that might be all he gets if it's another horror show.

They haven't appointed a director of football yet and you imagine Cormack would at least want the DOF and Thelin to work together and see if it helps improve anything.

My fear is - my big fear - is we make the same mistake when we sacked Glass. Now Glass probably wasn't experienced enough to do the big revamp we needed (and didn't have enough help from above either), but we ripped it up and went for the man of the moment Goodwin. Robson got the job after a good interim period, and when he went we decided to go back to the went long term project with Thelin.

If we do sack Thelin, then I want us to search for a guy that carries the "project" on. We have a good squad, plenty to work with, we don't need Goodwin's scorched earth policy again.

But, I see us looking at Hearts, and McInnes, and going "manager that knows Scottish football, they play good football and are physical. Let's do the same - step forward Stephen Robinson, Neil Lennon or John McGlynn."

I think - if I'm being honest - that's why I back Thelin so much, because I don't trust us with the managerial appointment. Maybe if a DOF is in place that search would give me more confidence.

Anyway, Thelin. 5-3-2 on Wednesday, 3-0 away win, then we can all have a good week, yeah?

It's already toxic and that is why he should walk away with the cup legacy intact

Very poor stuff today, 3 at the back is not really working and we very exposed down the flanks.

Karlsson looked frustrated but he’s definitely a player.

Jensen, Milanovic, Keskinen not good enough, however the later is not a LWB.

Fuck knows what our best team / formation is and i doubt Jimmy knows either. He should get fired if we lose against Killie.

Aye, that was gash again. I suspect that the last two minutes has saved JT's job. Had we lost 3-0 then he'd have been done.

The European pish is an absolute disaster for us. We're nowhere near being ready for the extra games and today showed it. Several players looked knackered today, and we don't even have a settled first eleven, never mind a rotatable squad.

We don't seem to be able to attack without leaving gaping holes in defence. The second half especially, when Devlin (probably the only one with pass marks, Lazetic aside) spent the entire time upfield. Dorrington and Milne were poor, with Knoester only marginally better. Karlsson very quick to berate Keskinen (which helped nobody), but didn't do a whole lot himself and gave the ball away too often. Armstrong was okay, but takes too long to shoot, and gives the ball away far too often. For all the shite Shinnie gets with the "legs have gone" pish, he covers 80 times more ground than Palaversa, who was absolutely dogshite. Clarkson was good when he came on and should be starting. Jensen pish and once again Nisbet is a waste of a shirt without a partner (which should have been obvious before signing). Milanovic probably had his best game today, positionally he was really good, working well with Devlin. Unfortunately he was terrible anytime he actually got the ball. I'm assuming Bilalovic is dead or something?

Anyway, it's the shite squad building in the summer that has fucked us. Get the DOF in and put a proper plan in place and force JT to stay and get it done. Need to take a hard call on guys like Palaversa, Polvara etc and get them shifted.

That average Hibs team has lost about 2 league games in the year since the 3-3

Regardless, take away the flukey cup semi/final and it's quite clear Thelin doesn't have a scoob

Think this is what has frustrated me the most, is that he doesn’t appear to have worked out how to play in the league. 3 year project, surely there should be some progress rather the abject regression we’re witnessing?

What the fuck is happening with the DOF anyway, thought penguin thief was the guy but all gone quiet?

also, welcome aboard 👍
