SSN reporting we have agreed a fee with Victims to sign Michael Frame from Celtic B team. Left back. Seems yet another project.

Mitchel not Michael 😉

So it is only glanced at it.

Got to question signing defenders from a team that concedes the number of goals that they do in lowland league.

Some Mitchel Frame footage

Interesting signing. He's currently playing every week in the lowland league. I'm assuming he's not making the step up to our first team from there, so struggling to see the benefits of him signing for us. Then again, he could turn out to be the next Dons legend, like Adam Montgomery before him.

£2.6M for Bojan to Sevco - surely Dave is looking into whether we can do a deal to usurp them? Maybe waiting to see if we win tonight?

If we have £2.6m to spend, then as good as Miovski is (was) there's no-way I'd want it spent on him.

Could sign five players for that.

Geez. We signed yengi plus lazetic, plus have sokler and Ambrose. We’re not spending millions to add miovski. As pish as Ambrose and yengi may be, we’re not spending millions here on yet another 9, I think our hope is Marko is our guy. I’d suggest, for example, if we’re spending that type of money I think we would look to sign a sadiq type who’d dominate a game, and can be wide or central. As good as bojan is, and as much as we loved him, he’s not that good and won’t dominate a game.

Side note, playing for the Huns is very different to playing for us. Pressure is very different. Miovski is/was a hero here who could do no wrong here, look at the way dressers has been treated. I’d even say Miovski is a sensitive type, the move isn’t guaranteed to be a success. Especially given their current situation and an expected old firm loss at the weekend, it’s going to get worse there before it gets better, and they are pish at the back and mediocre in midfield. Miovski may struggle to settle in an unsettling environment.

Rumours going about Kevin Nesbit signing for us on Monday.

taken with a pinch of salt.

Scott Burns rubbished it during the game. I know a few people saying the news came from Cormack himself, but who knows.

hmmmm. When he was fit and had confidence, he was handy. But with the rest of the team struggling around him, Nisbet kinda disappears.

Still think we need to actually splash a bit of cash and put a serious bid in for a proven 9, one who is maybe playing consistently at a league similar in quality to ours (Swedish, Danish, Austrian, Swiss, etc). Hell, even go to the English Championship or League 1 and see what decent, consistent 9's are down there who could be tempted with a £1M+ offer

I’m probably in the minority but I didn’t want him last year and not overly enthused about him coming back. I’m eager to see what lazetic has to offer and expect him to be our starting 9, can’t see him or yengi agreeing to come here as second or third choice. Especially if morris goes I really want a legit winger and a Rama midfielder. While morris has been far from consistent and struggled when starting, without him we really haven’t seen someone attack the line on the right and morris was effective at times.

Think we’ve done a really poor job at getting a center midfield balance post Ramadani, plus really question how we ended up with yenhi and Ambrose. Interesting few days ahead.

I like Nisbet as a striker but cannot see him as the type of player that can play with his back to goal providing knock downs to midfield like Thelin seems to want. I am sure however that we cannot go into the season with the strikers we have at the club.

Agree we need to get a box to box midfielder in and I am not convinced that a lowland league player will be able to step up to play left back at SPFL so would like to see an experienced player coming in on loan until the two we have signed are up to speed/fit.

The Daily Ranger is running with a story that Aston Villa are preparing a bid north of £1M for Fletcher Boyd

I'm not surprised. Looks a player. Also looks like he doesn't want to be here, and I wonder if the management see that, hence his lack of game time.

I actually wondered if it was the other way around. He’s had some game time, limited I know, are we putting him in the shop window?

I'd heard rumours last season that he was looking for a move, but thought it could have just been pish. I doubt we'd be putting him up for sale at this stage, but maybe a bit of pragmatism if he doesn't want to be here.

When you look at it, to potentially picked £3m for Boyd, gueye, Morris, ruby, and Jensen, you can’t really complain. None were good enough to regularly start. At the same time, we’ve yet to see (consistent) strong performances from topi, adil, and milanovic, so until we do it’s pretty much like for like. We still need a legit two starters,  playing polvara at left mid doesn’t cut it for me. A starting cm and winger by Monday night is huge. I’m willing to wait for lazetic, but another duk type who can play wide or up top as well.

Real, real shame that. Local boy, awfully highly rated and out of sight before he gets a proper run in our team. Just don’t agree at all with the strategy.

Agree with the sentiment on Gueye, Morris, Rubezic and Jensen and they can go to France but you can’t be letting Boyd go yet. This is a massive mistake, just have a hunch this lad will go on to be a superstar.

I suspect that it isn't strategy. If the lad doesn't want to be here, then there might be little the club can do.

Was really excited end of season before last when he broke into the team. New Portsoy Péle etc…

Now if we get a million, plus presumably add ons, for the hun social media post ❤️ing Portsoy plum, take it!

I know nothing is confirmed but if true he doesn’t want to be here its just getting to point where it’s impossible to bring young players through at all. We might aswell bin our youth setup as anyone who looks like breaking through just gets poached for peanuts. None of them seem to want to be here, which is bizarre when you look at guys like Lennon Miller, who just got his 5m transfer to Udinese. I mean realistically what’s going to happen with Fletcher Boyd at Aston Villa, he gets the odd run out in the FA cup fourth round?

Can imagine his frustration on the back of all the hype in two seasons ago, maybe it got to his head and he felt he was better and didn’t want to put the hard yards in? 🤷‍♂️ it is a shame though, we need local youth coming through or it’s all a bit pointless. Good on the club for getting some decent coin for someone who doesn’t want to be at the club.

The youth setup has been shit since Robson got plucked from it to run the first team. Just seems like zero effort is going into the lads, and no pathway into the first team. Im really not surprised to see Boyd go.
