Just thought I'd join to give a bit of an opinion on Aouchiche.  Technically he's a really good footballer. Due to injuries he spent a lot of his time with us out on the left wing, which probably

  • Four years Second Aberdeen player called Emmanuel in as many days to get that 😉

  • Yes it fucking is

His goalscoring record isn’t up to much so far but he’s only 21 and has plenty time to develop. Let’s hope he can hit the ground running and keep those who are already moaning on social media quiet.

Reckon this lad will be decent. From his YouTube, he looks like he can actually play fitba.

That’s my take. Looks pretty technical and athletic for a big lad.

memo being drafted to SPL referees to warm up the red and yellow cards as the new dons player is prone to 'fouls' and 'bullying defenders and goalies'

Does he have lightning pace?

Appears Lazetic deal agreed according to Italian journalists, just his visa to sort out.

Here's him in pre-season training.

He also played, and scored, in the only pre-season game I can find any info on - a Milan Futuro v Milan U19s game, which I reckon is enough to describe him as an "on-form striker".

Hopefully arrives in time to get some minutes v Morton.

Was running out of time for the visa not the reason  the deal fell through in January?

Only seen one story linking us with a keeper who has just been freed by Bristol City Strfan Bajic. No idea how accurate but assume if it is this would be to fulfil need for 3rd keeper for Europe.

Is Friday’s signing deadline just for play off games or Europe in general? Suspect it’s play off games but too lazy to check.

Bilalovic apparently undergoing medical ahead of a €650k transfer to the Dons from Sweden. A left sided winger. Presumably Jimmy knows him

We are still short on a grunty midfielder and a 9.

Do we have a sell on percentage on Ross McCrorie 🤔

We have Erik Edman on the payroll as a scout in Sweden IIRC, could be from that.

I believe so. If he's going to the premiership in England I expect the bidding will begin at around £20M 🤣

We must be getting close to two players for every position now?

Mitov/Surman

Jensen/Devlin

Knoester/Milne

Dorrington/Tobers

Gyamfi/Molloy

Shinnie/Palaversa

Nilsen/Kjartansson

Milanovic/Morris

Aouchiche/Polvara

Keskinnen/Bilalovic

Lazetic/Yengi

Which still leaves Sokler, Boyd, Rubizec, Duncan and Ambrose.

That's assuming Lazetic and Bilalovic go through of course. So a big squad as it is, and apparently we'd still be looking for two more. You've got to assume a left back would be one of those, especially given it isn't actually clear if Gyamfi is an out and out full back. I'm struggling to see where the other one would fit, unless it's another defensive centre mid?

A weird situation where we've actually got too many players yet simultaneously not enough.

I guess there's a couple there that you've assigned to roles that they may not be best for. Molloy should be where Milne is, meaning we have three right centre backs. But aye, left back seems about right, assuming the other two come in this week. We're short of a box to box midfielder. Mainly because Palaversa doesn't seem up to it, which is very strange as he has all the attributes for the role. He just can't last 60 minutes (apart from the cup final, weirdly).

Just watched some highlights of Bilalovic. Definitely a bit raw but very similar to Morris. A game changer at the 80-minute mark I'd say.

Half a million is a hefty price for him, but  I'm up for it.

Just need a midfielder now and we can all relax.

Speculation linking him with a move to Italy ALLEGEDLY.

Also seen suggestions that the sell on is 10%.

Some frightening stats there but I guess you can't really get a good picture of someone's ability (actual and potential) from 585 minutes, presumably spread across a lot of substitute appearances when his team are already losing.

I'm assuming the suggestions labelled him as "former Rangers star"?

Anything to increase the fee is fine by me.

Anything to rub more salt into their tears is equally positive.

Kevin Nisbet played the last half an hour last night for Millwall in their cup win over Newport. By all accounts he was pretty lively - though they're League Two, and he did miss a sitter.

He needs to walk that thin line of getting minutes and a bit of form and confidence, without impressive Alex Neil enough to make him want to keep him.

Or he could bang in three goals in his next two games, but also have sex with Alex Neil's wife. There are several routes to him being made available.

This chart is the sort of thing that gives me the fear about modern day football.  It was what people took the piss out of Ian Cathro for at Hearts.  I mean, it's great that this lad had 92 shots in the box in the Swedish league but what the hell does that actually mean in terms of whether he is any good and can adapt to the Scottish game?

You could probably look at the stats from our game last Monday and make the argument that it was a pretty even game but with the benefit of having actually watched it, there was only one team ever going to win that game.  The stats don't tell you if the guy has any hunger, desire, fight, commitment to the cause, nastiness, basic character.  He might be great against a low block, fantastic during the transitions and wonderful as an ACM but will he have any fight if we are 2-0 down at Fir Park or will he just be asking to be subbed off?

I really hope we are actually watching these boys that we are signing rather than just looking at stats and a couple of youtube clips.
