OrlandoDon Posted Tuesday at 11:32 Report Posted Tuesday at 11:32 (edited) So who is signing #5? Any names out there? So far a keeper left back winger/attacker and a forward. Attacking center mid next?? Def need a McGrath replacement, a legit 10. Edited Tuesday at 11:34 by OrlandoDon Quote
tlg1903 Posted Tuesday at 12:22 Report Posted Tuesday at 12:22 Whilst it's pleasing to get some in early given how many replacements we need there's no immediate rush for more. Gyamfi was first contacted about Aberdeen months ago according to his RTV interview so I think it's safe to assune the club will already have plenty of irons in the fire. The nature of the window does mean some targets may not become available until the close to the end of August, if at all. When does pre season start for us does anyone know? Quote
Jute Posted Tuesday at 12:41 Report Posted Tuesday at 12:41 One of the benefits of Cup win is that we now have more time to get players in before European games start so fact we need to wait for teams further up the chain to decide on their squads is mitigated a bit. 1 Quote

Good enough for me, let's get these Atlanta cunts to prove their worth. Sign him then 3 year loan to us. Edited Wednesday at 09:40 by Slim Quote

Would make sense to loan him to Aberdeen for a year then you'll get a better Miovski next season once Girona have sorted themselves out from the shit-show they were last season. Keskinen (who I think will really come alive next season), Milanovic and Miovski as our front three next season would be mouthwatering. Anyone have an email for Girona where I can submit this idea to? 3 Quote

Anyone have an email for Girona where I can submit this idea to? It's very clearly Miovski politely saying that he won't be coming to Aberdeen anytime soon. He worked very hard between his first and second season at the Dons and came back twice the player. I hope he does the same for Girona. I'd like to see him being the best player he can be, and I don't think he does that here. Quote

I doubt he will be back, if at at all, until he's early 30's but it's nice to know he considers us a future option. Not surprised though, the moment he started crying on the pitch when saying goodbye I turned to my pal and said he would be back someday. Quote

DantheDon Posted Wednesday at 14:21 Report Posted Wednesday at 14:21 I think it depends how his career goes in the next year or two. Another season like the one he just had for Girona and he won’t exactly be in demand. Hopefully he can kick on and show what he can do, was hopeful when he left he could cut it in La Liga. It’s a good advertisement for the game here if he does well and he can return here for a few seasons once he’s won the champions league with Real or Barca. Quote

Their group is Ukraine, Denmark and the Netherland and whilst I dunno how good these teams are it's certainly not out of the question Finland get out their group. Again though the not having to be back to pre season early for Europe plays into our hands here. You would think Jimmy will want give Topi an week extra off and he should be able to. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted Thursday at 08:59 Report Posted Thursday at 08:59 (edited) A newspaper that sort of rhymes with "scaley sash-cord" is claiming Dons and Jambos are interested in Iraqi international winger Marko Farji, who currently plays in Norway for Stromsgodset. Article.mainly focuses on Hearts' interest, but has thrown the Dons into the mix Edited Thursday at 09:00 by Reekie_Red Spell Quote

Panda Posted Thursday at 13:11 Report Posted Thursday at 13:11 Seems a decent player, but don't think there's any interest at all from Aberdeen. Likely they've thrown our name into the article to increase the views. 1 Quote

Seriously though there might still be space in the squad for a versatile attacking midfielder/winger. We’re going to be playing a lot of games while in Europe. It’s maybe the balance between having enough players and allowing our own younger guys the space to break through. Quote

But he looked good before his injury and maybe Thelin's system suits him. I imagine he'll probably leave when his contract expires next summer anyway, but I'd give him a chance until at least January. Quote
