I think there is a player in Burns, we maybe didn't see the best of him, but honestly think he wasn't as bad as some make out. May would be a gamble, but if fit he knows where the net is. I would rate him a better finisher than Rooney and I rate Rooney. He is only 24, so hopefully he can come up to us and kickstart his career, if he had a little more pace I could well imagine May playing at a higher level. We really need some options in midfield though.

As much as I think Niall should be moved on he deserves something better than being linked with that lot of rancid scum down in Gorgie. I cannot believe we picked him up on a free. Really rate the guy as a goalie and seems to be a decent guy also and as posted above it is reassuring having him between the sticks after some of the outright garbage we have had in that position over the years. Our previous custodian, Scott Brown left us and went to Wycombe Wanderers and is now currently on loan at Eastleigh.

A superb win and great to end the year on a high, we just need to carry it through into 2017 and start playing to our strengths as a team and let other teams worry about our weaknessess. We really need these 3 points tonight and what a way to end the year beating the worst footballing team in our league, IMO, in their own back garden. We need to stand up well to them, especially at set pieces and not let them intimidate us like they usually do. We are more than capable of beating them, I just hope Deek doesn't tamper with the team too much and doesn't set us up to defend for 90 minutes as if we do we are fucked. COYR!

I enjoyed that. We should have been out of sight before we scored, but one of them days, it wasn't due to lack of effort. A superb save by Joe Lewis, just prior to us getting the winner, he has been such a great signing and gives you a confidence we never had for a long time between the sticks. I though McLean was MOTM, thought he had a superb game and I also thought Jack was superb in the second half, put in a couple of good crosses from the right and was always looking to get forward. I thought the ref was inept today, I sit in the Merkland end so no idea if it was a penalty, but he made some strange decisions today, very strange. The biggest shock was Deek not changing the line up and Shinnie offers so much more at left back than he does in midfield.

Me and the loon are in as usual. Looking forward to it, if nothing else just to see what the tactial tombola will come up with for today. Hopefully we will get a good win, but Hamilton aren't that bad a team and we will need to be sharp to ensure we don't pass up opportunities to score. I saw the Quo live in 91, not my thing at all, but what a show they give full of energy, you end up head banging with the best of them. An easy target to have a go at, but the thing is they don't have any real artistic pretentions they just made music and had a good few hits which will still be playing long after we are pushing up the daisys.
