  1. I thought he was a very good striker, took his chances well, probably lacked a little bit of pace to make it really big, but I hope for his sake he makes it back. I would have liked to have seen him at Aberdeen, at least he didn't do the obvious and sign for one of the OF.
  2. Nae sure but the bigger question is will he come up up the road via train?
  3. Oh aye. I think on mad we did a vote once for her or the idiot that does the other show on C4 we the bloke, I think Sarah won hands down. I bet she is a lassie that kens how to work a stroop.
  4. I have to admit to feeling sorry for the loon. For me he is good enough and deserves a chance. Have a feeling another young player who will end up moving on without a proper chance, my biggest gripe with McInnes is lack of chances given to the young players.
  5. The Egypt game I am sure we got done 3-1 and Bryan Gunn was in goal for Scotland. The SKonta Riga game was dire stuff. It was a fairly miserable night weather wise and I had an abscess in my mouth, so the score just topped off a brillant night!
  6. Got banned from Tannadice back in 89 and to this day I still have no clue what I did, I even got thrown out of a local chipper afterwards. Got chucked out of Pittodrie for trying to climb a gate from the south stand into the old beach end after we got beat fae Utd once around 92/93, Big Dunc scored early doors for them and one PJM muppet was seriously pissing me off that I took matters into my own hands, or at least tried to. Nae idea what I would have done if I made it to the other side, I would have probably got a kicking. Have to admit to not being a fighter in anyway.
  7. I canna mind, but I am sure it was against Motherwell around 1987/88. None of my brothers liked football and my Ma wouldn't let me go on my own or we pals, so one day my sister picked her husband up from a game at Pittodrie and I said to him I would love to go and that was that. I went to the next game against Motherwell, I think and I am sure we won 1-0, I was just in awe of the whole experience. Made sure both my loons never waited until they were 14 to go.
  8. Nae bother, you know them lips have had mair pricks than a second hand dart board.

MInd DD, you canna blame the adverts on this site when you fuck up with your posts. An easy aye fae me.
  10. I ken I once said I would do Gail Tilsley fae Corrie, but even I draw the line at this one. I think auld Buc might hae some competition for the chubbier lasses though.
  11. Since a the other good folk far Ab MAd are joining I may as well post again on here. Hopefully a few more folk on board will give this place a lift.
  12. Very enjoyable game today although i did expect Dundee to be better than they were. We were over them like a rash first half then they came out fired up in the second and we lost a little of our composure, but we are a disciplined team and can defend when required as much as we can attack. Fantastic block by Ward just after the restart and as stated before some good catches when the ball was driven at him, a couple of suspect kicks, but more confident with him between the sticks than any other keeper since Kjaer. We are turning into a very good team, no player really let us down today, but Logan deserves a little stick as causes us a few problems at times, I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone b y the time the window closes. Ryan Jack is turning out to be a very good captain and seems to be growing in stature with every game. SHinnie, on this form he is going to be one of the best signings we have ever made and will be criminal if he is not given a Scotland call up and Niall McGinn has such an infectous enthusiasm for football that he is a joy to watch and we would be a poorer team without him. Great time to be a dandy.
  13. I would have loved to have gone and seen him as I have a lot of time for the guy and that was before his nomination for the leadership. I don't think I could vote Labour because of him as I want an independant Scotland and Labour don't, but we do need a strong Labour Party. It must be horrible for Corbyn to face criticism from a mass murderer with god on his side. If he does get elected, Labour will split, I have no doubt about that, it's been coming for years. The Blairites and there are many, will form some sort of Social Democratic Party, but it will be a tory lite party just like Blairs detestable New Labour are/were.
  14. There must be a reason for it. I personally feel maybe Rooney is being eased back into the team as last seasons efforts took a toll on him and normal service will be resumed soon.
  15. Nice threat - Cosgrove I have a lot of time for and Tommy Wright always impresses me when he speaks to the press and I think has done a fantastic job for St Johnstone. Losing folk you love is always hard, but to lose a bairn must be the worst, a very touching story.
  16. Yup I hope any player in Scotland worth their wages will ensure they give 100% against these chunts all season. There may have been some truth in what Collins said, but the way he went about it was wrong, somethings are best left unspoken. Van Dick is apparently speaking with Southampton and if they lose him that will weaken them greatly.
  17. Yup, oor Deek is a class act, giving both barrels to COllins, who I rated as a player but comes across as an arrogant pr*ck as a human and is well suited for a role at victim FC. Interesting that Griffiths has spoke out against the comments too, I suspect there maybe something bubbling below the surface there as I knew one of the Hibs players when Collins was managing them and I think every player hated the guy with a passion. I would love us to get revenge on the chunt by taking 3 points when we meet them in a few weeks, actions speaking louder than words and all that...
  18. Great game today, enjoyed it very much. Aberdeen were a joy to watch and probably should have had a few more goals to add t the two we did score. Shinnie is an excellent signing and Quinn looks like a good addition to our squad. Ward looks a decent prospect also, but he didn't have an awful lot to do as Killie were so poor, but he came out a caught a corner and that I was impressed with.. Killie though, deary me, what a poor, poor team. They have some decent individual players and I have seen worse teams compete in the SPL, but their tactics are awful, but you cannot expect anymore when you have that chunt Gary Locke as manager. Judging by how horrible they played today they will make few friends over the course of the season, and they may regret giving Locke the job in a few weeks time. Great day for us dandies though, but we will face harder tests in the coming weeks.
  19. Aye we are out but didn't do too badly. We can concentrate on domestic matters now, I don't think we have a squad capable to playing domestically and in Europe and prefer we concentrate on the leagues and cups. A good win against Killie on Sunday will help us all forget about last night.
  20. We have signed a player with potential, far from the finished article. It is important we accept he will make one or two errors over the season, as every keeper does. The important thing is to back him not get on his back. The fact that McInnes appears to have him as our number one over Langfield who has been here over 10 seasons and Brown who finished last season as number one, speaks volumes of how high he must rate him. I think the guy is a step up from the previous holders of the jersey and will prove to be a good keeper.
  21. Be a shame to lose him. He offers a lot to the team and always impresses me with his workrate and will to win. If his family are in England then I can understand why he wants to move back, but still a sore one for us. Good reliable players are hard to find.
  22. A good read. Eion Jess, what a player. brought back a few happy memories of watching the dandies
  23. What I find worrying is the way they are trying to demonise Corbyn who is only standing up for the poor and those of us who will become poorer over the next 5 year of Tory rule. Imagine a Labour politican speaking up for the needs of the poor and disadvantaged, just not right is it. I can see another split in the labour camp in the coming years with another SDP style party being formed at some point and the tories ruling the roost in England for the next decade and more. Hope I'm wrong though.
  24. NAe reason we cannot go for the league, all we have to do is get points against Celtic and hope we can go on the sort of unbeaten run we went on last season. I honestly don't think Celtic are great and can be beaten, but it's up to us to do the job this coming season, Celtic are the reigning champions and will not give it up without a fight. I believe we have a squad with a bit more grit to them, most of our players have played with each other for a few seasons now and know each others weaknesses and strengths and we appear to have a decent goalkeeper for the first time in a long time. Deek and Doc are also more experienced this season and will know where they made mistakes last season and will hopefully rectify them this season. We have played one league game, have 3 points and a clean sheet, so we are in a better position now than we were at this point last year, so it's a positive start. Onwards and upwards, but I am looking forward to all the ups and of course the usual downs which are part n parcel of following football. Oh aye, a cup wouldn't go a miss either and I'm in the minority when I say I am not overly fussed about Europe.
  25. Hoped for a draw today, after the Thursday game I thought we may toil a little, but no, we dug deep and got a win. A superb start and this current squad has the makings of a team which will grind out results when required and will have a bit of nous about them when it comes to the big game. A big pat on the back to our manager who was tactically spot on today and looks to be learning from mistakes made in previous games. Only one game down, but still grounds for a bit of optimism again this season.
