  1. The tories hate Bercow, truly despise him and any opportunity which comes along to attack him they will do so. A lot of tories will also love Trump, he would have lots in common with most of them.
  2. I'm watching Sportscene at the moment and just saw the Celtic penalty, wow the fucker won't even get punished for such a howler. St Johnstone should have had a penalty first, but no.
  3. Don't lie down to them and give them the zero respect they deserve. Games against them are lost before we even get on the pitch as our tactics are shite. Let them worry about us more than we do them. When we beat them twice last season we did so by playing to our strengths. OK they are better now, but they are not as good as being made out to be and still quite weak at the back IF you attack them.
  4. I'm sure Burns will get more game time now he is at Fleetwood.
  5. Well we played our get out of jail card and ended with three points which looked unlikely until DM made changes to the team and our shape. We should have been 1-0 up before half time when Taylor somehow managed to put a header wide when it looked easier to score, probably had to much time to think about it, but come half time it looked like it was going to be one of those days where we were never going to score. We looked quite poor early in the second half and have to be thankful Thistle are woeful in the final 3rd, a decent enough team at the back and in the middle, but once they go into the final third they are bad and thank goodness for that as up until we made our changes I would have said they were on top at that point. Stockley and Christie both came on at the expense of Logan and Reynolds, which left most of us fans scratching our heads, especially when Jack was playing the sweeper role in a back three, but then we only go and score with Stockley coming to the rescue and what a relief it was when it went in, we looked so much better after the changes, but Thistle should have equalised when the ripped open our defence and only their lack of quality up front saved us, which promted Deek to put on O'Connor, remember him, to shore us up at the back and then see us score a second from Christie, which was the icing on the cake and always sweet when we score so late and the early leavers miss it. We just weren't at our best today, Hayes and McGinn were fairly quiet and when they are quiet we usually struggle, but deek made the changes which brought us the points and it was nice to see. My MOTM would have been McLean, I thought he did a lot of work today and always trying to create even when things weren't going our way. Another cold day though, could hardly feel my hands after the game they were so cold.
  6. In Merkie Hame Hame 2-1 - A very tight game with chances few and far between. McLean and Hayes. Rugby is shit by the way. I'll never understand how any self respecting fitba fan can claim to enjoying rugby
  7. I'm a bit disappointed he chose not to come back, but the risk you take when you take on players in this way, don't think he will be that great a loss overall, but we will never forget his free kick against THEM. Thanks for that James.

    Films

It is indeed the same actress, Kelly MacDonald. Great follow up, complimented the original film superbly, although if you read the books of Irvine Welsh you have to wonder what the fuck was going on with the film. The scene in the orange lodge was brilliant, but sadly they were probably not far off the mark in how the cretins who frequent these places behave for real.
  9. The irony of the Mexican border wall will be when it is exposed immigrant labour is building it. Maybe Canada had better build a wall to stop all the Americans getting into Canada after Trump has been in office a few more weeks and they all try to leave. I half expect to discover Armando Iannucci is working for Trump, it would be satire at its best if it wasn't so serious.
  10. I enjoyed that last night. We were slow to begin with and dundee were a bit sharper, not by lots mind, they did get the ball in the net and hit the bar with a great speculative lob, but we grew into our game and it was pretty much one way traffic. I thought we played very well, couldn't fault any performance once we hit our stride, I still say we need somebody tough in the middle of the park, as at the start of the game we couldn't keep the ball and that put pressure on our defence, which isn't ideal, other clubs are able to exploit this at times. I thought McGinn played really well and sitting in the Merkie I had a great view of his first goal and it really was a pearler. Hayes too, boy would we miss his direct running and work rate if he left. If his end product was better, he really would be one of the best around anywhere, but glad to still have him and Warnock should have been told to f off with his paltry 500k bid. I also thought Jack had another good game and the same with all the others. I love having Joe Lewis in goals, the guy is a class act, even in games like last night where after the initial DUndee start he didn't have a lot to do, but reliable when called upon. Loved the ovation Christie got from the South Stand when he came on. He was told you might wear the red shirt, but you have to convince us you are worthy, still feel overall though feel his signing will hurt the development of Wright. Who am I to argue though with our current run though. Great stuff and bring on the Thistle I should have said Septic, I never knew we had them on Wednesday, what a time to burst their bubble. Oh aye, the Ref last night was bloody awful.
  11. It was comfortable, but I would say we were slow to start with, Dundee even had the ball in the net, but the flag saved us and judging by the lack of reaction it must have been correct. Once the first goal went in it was never in question. A good win and we just have to take it game at a time and not get too carried away. We will have a tough game next Saturday against Plastic Whistle
  12. It wasn't as cold as last Saturday, but I thought the crowd look bigger than what was posted above. I though Dundee took up a half decent support also.
  13. Liam Gallagher as well, gadz! I still would though, she is a natural stunner and always has been. I mind the first time I ever saw her on TV, it was a music video for her 80s group Eighth Wonder, around 88, and I ripped the heed aff it quite a few times with that video.
  14. I would say Cammy SMith did have a lot of potential but something is going wrong down at Pittodrie with our efforts to bring through youth. Not every kid we sign can be useless and not make the grade which appears to be the case at the moment. A real gripe of mine is our inability to bring through our own players, something which is costing us dearly and something I thought we would have learned lessons from when JC was in charge.
  15. 11,750. Healthy enough crowd I suspect, would happily see a few more though as always and Friday night is a good night for fitba, if you cannot get 3 o'clock on a Saturday.
  16. How is Phoenix keeping these days, he was one of the best posters on any football forum and very much missed.
  17. I'd have a shot nae problem. If she was blood related to Gascoigne I wouldn't.
  18. In Merkie Work, hame for some grub and straight to Pittodrie Hame 2-0, Rooney and McLean
  19. I think we are despised because we are the one major club in Scotland that has no link whatsoever to either of the Glasgow tinks, we hate them both in equal measure and have done for years, long before it became fashionable to do so. Most other supporters may claim to support other teams, but most have a favourite bigot brother. Also the fact we have won TWO European trophies is still a bitter one for many.
  20. I mind watching Hewitts goal on Sportscene on the day it happened. Happy Days!
  21. Although I am not bothered about us signing the loon CHristie, I do wonder what our own young players have to do to get a game under McInnes. I would say Ross and Wright who both got some gametime on Saturday deserve a little bit more. I just find it a little strange we sign young players from other clubs but pretty much ignore our own.
  22. Rather you than me mate, but please tie a length of rope around yourself and tie it to something stong so they can rescue you at some point.
  23. A good game for us, although more a training game than a real test, but we had to win and 4-0 it was and in truth we should have had double figures such was our dominance. Their keeper had a decent game, even though he looked partial to a pie, he made some cracking saves throughout the game and kept the scoreline down for them. I thought we would have started with one or two fringe players, but it was a full strength line up today and good to see the two young lads get some game time in the second half, I hope this is the sign of things to come, I would say both are ready for some decent game time. Was it just me who was a bit worried the way Jonny left the field this afternoon? Oh, aye, and it was bloody freezing!
  24. I wouldn't say no to O'Hallohun, a decent player who needs regular football.
  25. Just read the book 'Comrade Corbyn' and a very good read it was too. Quite scary to think folk are scared of this guy who is principled and doesn't sell his politcal soul to the lobby groups. I have far more in common with Corbyn than I do with any other front line politicians.
