  1. I don't like her, but would give her one.
  2. Nothing wrong with her, never heard of her, but would certainly give her the stroop.
  3. SUperb win last night and a great hat trick from a very under rated player. Aye he is easy to pick on when we have a rough patch, but the guy never gives anything less than 100% and is a far better player than what most of our rivals have. Have to say that the the lass sitting next to the huns manager was a bit of a stunner, was that his wife? If so, no chance they will be around Govan for long. No chance a beauty like that will want to hang around that shit hole too long. I just hope that Deek doesn't have a rush of blood to the head next SUnday and not let us play our game against the hun, it would be criminal if he did.
  4. We have our tickets and looking forward to the game, it should be a cracker.

    Veganism

I eat a Vegan diet, but I don't class myself as a Vegan because I don't like to preach to anyone about how they live their lives and vegans can be very preachy and pretentious. I was a veggies for 22 years before I gave up dairy 3 years ago and haven't really missed it although my biggest miss is a macaroni pie from the Torry chipper. There are so many alternatives nowadays it is reasonably easy, but a lot of what is on offer is over priced and some shops take the P with their pricing. I don't usually use meat substitutes, but I am partial to a Linda McCartney Sausage and do like tofu, but mainly my diet consists of veggies, beans, pulses, etc. The vegan cheese which is available now are also quite good and some of them even melt! It's not for everyone, but I would advise anyone thinking of this to try cutting meat out of their diet firstly and once they are comfortable with this try omitting, dairly, eggs, honey, etc bit by bit until it becomes normal. The best thing I did when I became vegan was invest in a book called "How it all Vegan" it has provided us with so many good recipies which have become loved by meat eaters as well as veggies. SOmething will change with regards to using animals for food, but I think that is a good few years down the line, the biggest shock you will get is how many animal by-products you find in things you wouldn't dream of thinking had such shite in it, expecially alcohol.
  6. A very good 3 points today, even nicer when against than rancid lot of Gorgie scum. What a horrible, horrible football team and a horrible rancid club in general. McLean ran that for us today, what a performance again from him, closely matched by Shinnie who despite being a slight lad has a tenacity about him which makes him scared of nobody on the pitch, two very good football players and criminal that both overlooked for the national side, but what we have come to expect with the ginger mutant in charge. Loved Logans goal celebration, I like him as a player a lot. A great goal for Johnny, which I think made up for the offside goal scored by Rooney which should have stood IMO, but wasn't too much protests at the decision so must have been right. Rooney really needs a goal at the moment, it is a shame seeing him not doing what he does best. The sending off you couldn't argue with, but the Hearts boy milked it and should have had a yellow himself for holding back Stockley. A very good team performance today, couldn't fault anyone, just a pity the shitty international break is upon us once again and we have a gap between today and our next fixture.
  7. The Golden Tee is shut?? When did that happen? Shocked at that, used to be packed out the door years ago. The Double Two is now flats as well, that was a rough place when I was a loon, some right hard cunts drank in there.
  8. In Merkie - The loon is back after missing previous two games. Hame Toon 1-0 us. I hate playing Hearts, form goes out the window, but along with Utd the games I like us winning most 12500
  9. I reckon Deek will do his usual by not signing what we need, well maybe one and leave us scratching out heads at other signings, but no doubt he will add at least one player who will improve us. I like the boy Crawford from Hamilton and a couple of Partick players, but no doubt it will be free signings and loans. McGinn will be a huge loss and so would Jack, but not fussed about the rest leaving, I am sure either Reynolds or Taylor will be staying. It should be an interesting summer that's for sure and if we do lose McGinn and Jack be a real test for McInnes to replace them.
  10. I had the misfortune of listening to a conversation on this subject matter today at work between a Hun, two Mancs and a Arab supporting tink, don't think I have heard so much pish in my life, every cliche under the sun was mentioned in the case for not breaking up the union. If I wasn't already a member of leave I would have been after hearing that and to think these fuckers get a vote.
  11. I think Jack has been getting forward more with Shinnie in the middle, but with Shinnie playing LB for most of the game yesterday Jack was limited in getting forward. I still feel we are a better team with Jack in it.
  12. Rooney is determined to score with an overhead kick, dropping him would probably do him good as we know he still has goals in him, but him and Stockley are not a partnership.
  13. Oof, that was close, but fair play to the team, we were kicked about the park today by a team who were hell bent on winning a point at any cost and who were anti football all game, they were truly awful, wouldn't be so bad, but I think they have players capable of much better than that, but the good guys came out on top again and deservedly so. I was shocked to see Pawlett dropped as I thought he had a good game last Sunday and with that pace missing we laboured a bit up front with Rooney and Stockely. We created chances, but the movement was poor and not getting into areas which you would expect thm to. A couple of good shots from McGinn which were well saved and a header from Rooney were the highlights of the first half, but we at least tried to play football. Second half was all us again but not many clear cut chances and Motherwell frustrated us with their horrible anti football tactics and it was heading for a draw until McGinn popped up at the end which was thoroughly deserved and shows we have much more about us this season, even when the opposition revert to ugly football and kick out players we show a bit more about us and show a fighting spirit which was lacking in earlier seasons, the one who has this more than most is Shinnie, I have serious man love for this guy. Good to see O'Connor back in the line up today, our best central defender by far, Shinnie was good at LB, but I actually think I prefer him in midfield now.
  14. Some very good points made on this thread. I have had a few jobs since being made redundant last year and every place I have went is usually suffering from morale problems due to cack handed redundancy programmes, mostly based on very short sighted plans of those in charge. It is quite strange that in the oil industry we have seen huge job losses, but I have hardly seen much managers lose their jobs, in fact I have seen more managerial roles created. I know of some companies stuggling to fill roles they chopped less than a year ago, mental really.
  15. AN interesting thread from my viewpoint as I currently work in an office where I was given a job in a department who didn't really want me and they have let me know it, to top it off I am surrounded by huns, tims, guffs, Dundonians, Geordies and all sorts and the one thing they have in common is they hate Aberdeen and Aberdeen supporters especially. Quite happy to make their money in Aberdeen, but slag the place off all day, strange bunch of cunts really. Even the guy who claims to be a "top red" only got his first (half) season ticket this season. Ordinarily I have no issue in saying morning to the folk I work with, but in this current role words are never exchanged, ever.
  16. In Merkie Town/Home 1-0 - Pawlett Motherwell (I believe) will be a difrerent proposition this week compared to the team we played a couple of weeks ago.
  17. I actually think Jack will leave us in the summer along with McGinn. Could be an interesting summer for the manager.
  18. Aye good luck to the loon, he needs to be playing football a lot more than he has been recently at this stage of his career, but I don't think he will suit Neilsens hoofball style of play.
  19. Riley is superb. I cannot say I like all the music he plays but he does turn up some gems and is a great outlet for new bands to get airplay
  20. I like Lauren, but don't often get the chance to hear her. I usually only get to hear Lamaqc and Marc Riley during the week, listen to 6 music much more during the weekend. The only DJs I really don't like on 6 are Cerys and Giles Peterson. I usually avoid their shows
  21. A great win today and once Shinnie put us in front I had this funny feeling we were getting Hibs in the Semi, which should be a cracker of a game. As for today a strange game. Partick I have always have a lot of time for and thought they always try to play a decent game even though they suffer from quality, especially in the final third, but I thought they were honking today and were a bit OTT with challenges at times. I thought we were decent enough and should have put the game to bed if it wasn't for some inspired saves from their keeper, especially the one from McGinns shot in the first half. Stockley and Rooney is never going to work. Two players I reckon I could easily beat in the speed stakes and worried that we seem to think Stockley is just to punt high balls up to, fair enough if chasing a game towards the end but not from the start of a game, we are a far better team than that and Stockley is a better player than that. I thought Pawlett played well today always looking to get involved and did a lot of work in the final third, Stockely too had some good touches, Shinnie I thought was a powerhouse in midfield and cannot see him going back to left back again, also love him as captain, leads by example and not afraid to have a go at a player. It was a quality goal he scored and well deserved, he was carrying a knock at the end which seemed to be bothering him after he made that sliding challenge to win the ball in the final minutes. Johnny at left back was a strange one, but the guy would give his all no matter what position he is asked to play. The ref was very poor, but wouldn't have surprised anyone. I think Thistle were lucky to finish with 10 men on the park, should have had at least one other sent off during the game. They somehow managed to throw three throw in back out for a throw ins and a goal kick today, shocking stuff. Bring on the HIVs.
  22. The pitch will be in some state tomorrow after all the rain today. I was Pittodrie picking up my tickets this morning and the pavements and roads were covered in water around the stadium so can only imagine the state of the pitch. Highly unlikely it will be postponed though.
  23. My ma worked with Ian Wood when he was a loon, said he was a cunt, but his auld man was a gent, nae idea if it is true or not, but this was long before the UTG debate. I have also worked with folk fae Wood Group and they all said he was alright, but had no interests except work. He is a big supporter of the conservative party and that is a big no for me. It would have been nice if he had gave the city £50 million to do something with the gardens without conditions, but it is his money and earned fairly, although he did get a big helping hand from his father, but I didn't like the shyte which he said about the proposals if they didn't go through, something not quite right about that, it sounds like the kid we the fitba and if his team isn't winning he picks the ball up and goes home. The last thing Aberdeen City Centre needed was to cover over one of it's few green spaces with more concrete, but have to agree with other post that the MArshall square development is a disgrace which somebody at the council must have been on the take to get that through. There is a picture from the 60s in the library at the moment showing the area before the old council building was built, hard to believe those in power now have made the same mistakes as their counterparts from the 60s, but in defence of the folk in the 60s they were part of a generation that thought they were building modern buildings for the future, which we now know didn't pan out, but to make the same mistake again is unforgivable.
  24. Looking forward to Sunday, I think it will be a good game with both teams looking to win. Sitting in my usual seat in the Merkie although the youngest won't be with me as he has something else on which he is not allowed to get out of and luckily enough for me I managed to find someone else to take him to said event or otherwise I would have missed the game also. DM is going to have to make some changes and I would like to see O'Connor return to the team and be interesting to see what he does with the midfield, hopefully he will try something different, we need to keep McLean in the role he is currently doing as he is far better when attacking than when asked to play deep. A tight 2-1 win for the reds, Rooney and Pawlett.
  25. HAs to be his last job in Football, surely nobody would be stupid enough to employ him again, well hopefully some diddy team from Govan may take a gamble on him.
