  1. It's the only way they can try to get anither glesga/west coast team a placie in Europe. I mean St Moron/Partick/Airdrie/ Motherwell arnae gonna finish in the top 4 any time soon.
  2. Unfortunately most of our strting 11 didn't think to turn up last Sunday....god hopes thay learned something from Thurday
  3. It was the Eric Black Hat-trick game.... 3-1 to us  :AFC2:
  4. Went home early, caght "The Big Match - Revisited" on ITV 4 just now......spookily it's Feb '83 and there's an Aberdeen game on. Back to '83................ .................... we're gonna win tonight! Plus ca change, the tims score from a "soft" free kick
  5. I'm off. No classes this afternoon so doing "development" work at hame Here we go, here we go, here we go................
  6. Not a good memory, but from the awful englund Scotland 5-1 in 75? "....through Kennedy's legs!" as the guffies put another past the hapless/hopeless hun keeper.
  7. "OK Darren, you're going to sacrifice yourself by "COLLIDING" with their keeper in the 1st minute" Aye, right
  8. It's going to go 0-1 1-1 1-2 2-2 3-2 And 0-0 over there!
  9. The great David Francie and his memorable ".....disaster for Scotland". Not necessarily good memories, but un-fukkin'-forgettable. ANy Arthur Montford World Cup qualification game commentaries. "........Oh yes! That does it! Scotland 2 Wales 0 and Argntina here we come!"
  10. Having just seen John Hewit's winner from 83 a shiver just went up my spine. I believe we're gonna win!
  11. Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. "The chances of anything coming from Mars...." ...are about as likely as us beating Bayern
  12. Funny, it's their hard work that passes and our fault if they don't. Wonder if JC sees it like that at the moment?
  13. Hmmm........how do you decide as manager when to "support" the players or when to try to get "a reaction". I know I do it at school, both in class and with the shinty team, but with 20/30 year olds with too much money and agents??
  14. I have to take the credit/blame for the performance of kids in my dept. at school, and I can't transfer in a few Higher 'A' pupils to look good! Stuck with what I get, so I do my best to get them to do their best.....I can't pass the exams for them however. Milne is not the problem, although he could help.......JC can only do so much, he doesn't mis the sitters, or misplace the passes. The players ARE culpable of underperforming, and about time they saw that and were made, somehow, to pay for it.
  15. Part of my point BB, yes! Not Milne, but JC and the players.
  16. Wolves benefitted greatly from a chairman lobbing cash at them all through the 90s, with a "top class2 manager at the helm, didn't they? Why does it always come down to £££ and Milne. If the players were capable of the Copenhagen performance they should be capable of that again and again and again..........nothing to do with the chairman.
  17. So just because we've been woeful in a couple of games recently we'd be delighted to see the back of Jimmy? Who last took us to a semi, a quarter, europe after Christmas and 3rd last season?
  18. Managers, players, fans and pundits tend, before a game, to highlight the oppositions star or "danger" players. Just who, exactly, will they pick from AFC at present? Anyone?
  19. Final? What final? I know of no final.
  20. Necrophilia? Dead boring! Coat already on.............
  21. Did AFC not die last night?
  22. Astonished when I logged in this morning that this wasn't already done......then remembered it's not the hat!. Still.....see my comments re the players on the "just in" thread...not sure it's actually JC's fault at present.
