  1. His railway programmes, particularly around Europe were brilliant! Anyway, I think it's been quite obvious for a long time that it's a status thing. Britain does not want to be seen as it actually is, a marginal world wide force. the jobs thing and providing a reason to go to that area of the country is a concern (yes I get the tourism thing but that's not going to happen over night). A lot of jobs will be lost and the local economy will suffer. Will it be worth it? Yes, most definitely. It's a massive drain on our resource and for what gain? I'm not seeing it. Nice article about Hans Blix by Jon Snow: http://blogs.channel4.com/snowblog/hans-blix-advises-britain-abandon-trident/20426
  2. Genuinely, I am. Ecclestone seems to love whoring it out to everything.
  3. I see Delia is raising his ugly head again, that said i'm sure BBC are more than willing to encourage it. "Aberdeen not out of Title race yet" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32304524
  4. Welcome aboard SdG! Certainly remember the _whooosh_ name on Mad when i've checked, always wondered why that was
  5. Saw that in the EE, great that the manager actually acknowledges that too. If only the powers higher up would do too! Good luck to all involved, can only help, and if it has a positive effect on the team, even better. Just wonder how much of it the players can actually hear though from the top of the RDS? SS would make sense, right next to the away support :ultras:
  6. Two clear front runners so far! Have to say, the biggest disappointment for me this season has been Pawlett. Seems to have completely gone off the boil and lost a bit of pace as well.
  7. Very true, would hate to see their gloating faces!
  8. Id go with that, i'd much rather see Shinnie as Left Back. Not had one since i've supported the Dons, well, not a decent or proper one. If Jack goes, I hope it's for decent money.

Never used movie tube, any good?
  10. Good spot!
  11. Edit: Poll added
  12. You'd want to spend more than a day on Hvar. Nice island and some cracking seafood but worth a visit anyway!
  13. According to the DR, these should be released in the next 48 hours.
  14. Highlights: Can't believe someone told you it was 2-2 DeeDon Mind you, it wasn't far from being so! Just as well the penalty was shite! I see McInnes is saying that it's our most dominant away display this season. Hard to argue, just a shame we didn't have more to show for it. 3 points are 3 points though.

Didn't bother watching the last hour in the end, fair play to spieth, he was the most consistent player over the weekend. Rory had a better day of it yesterday as did hideki and mickelson.
  16. Completely agree about Hayes, Hilton, seems like a very likeable guy and clearly an excellent player when he's fully fit.

A company in my office were involved with that (kajaki), is it meant to be any good? Poster is up in our building and been meaning to check it out.
  18. Went to Hvar a few years back, stunning island

Shame that Rose dropped a shot on the last hole. Speith doesn't seem to be budging or faltering at all.
  20. Yep, we were totally useless with them today. Given the height of our back line we should be doing better
  21. I'd agree with that, especially Rooney, it is incredibly impressive that we've got a player capable of doing so. Long may it continue, he deserves all the plaudits he gets Probably followed by mcginn who has got better over the course of the season. It would have been Jonny but sadly for him he was rushed back from injury a bit earlier than he needed to be (for the right reasons IMO) and his subsequent form has suffered. Jack has been great in spells, but again I wasn't convinced by his early season form, the home game against the dirty dhims sticks out the most.
  22. Would say that today definitely showed that we need a keeper that can concentrate (I'm sure most of us knew this already). We were fortunate that it didn't cost us points today, there was no need for him to come out like he did. So what other areas of the squad do you think need improving? Who would you like to see coming in?
  23. Who've they all got left to play? Huns mk2 having to go to Palmerston where they've lost twice this season would be ideal City getting a fair tanking off united by the seems of it. 4-1, thought united would win it but not by that scoreline!
  24. Well, hibs actually turned up for a change today! Keeps the orcs mk 2 at bay for a while. QotS won too.
