  1. Brilliant news, just what we needed after last nights result
  2. See, I'd actually disagree with most of what he said. It reeks of big headedness and delusions of grandeur due to his likely association. To talk teams down from yes, a smaller league, is condescending but what I would expect from the Scottish football media and management circles. They've clearly no idea. Slovenia, have qualified for major football tournaments, where we have not. Their teams regularly compete in both champions league / Europa League so again, his comments are wide of the mark. We had our own failures this campaign, but his previous article which said our attempts over the past few years in Europe were pathetic is frankly ridiculous. I'd have agreed if he'd said the previous two seasons we'd done some work to change that, but no. The days of Scottish football teams expecting to walk through European qualification went long ago and even England, where they spunk billions on their teams, suffer humiliating defeats. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs their head examined. These countries are catching up. I will agree with this though:
  3. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/14665202.Neil_Cameron___How_did_we_get_so_low_that_losing_to_Slovenian_opposition_has_become_the_norm_/?ref=rss This guy is fast becoming one of my least favourite journalists in Scotland. Cretin.
  4. Apparently not, only missed 4 in his career: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-rooney/elfmetertore/spieler/37773/saison_id//wettbewerb_id//plus/1#verschossen
  5. Strikers: Rooney 2 Burns 1 Stockley 1 Midfielders: Hayes 1 McGinn 1 Defenders: Logan 1
  6. The morning after, it still feels shite Massive missed opportunity and seeing the clips of the game again hasn't made it any easier.
  7. Agreed, first leg hindered us massively, but the referee really didn't help things. It's almost like he punished us for missing the penalty. Shame, plenty to be proud of but a very hard result to take. Like to add the team were brilliant tonight. Can't fault anyone and a superb effort. One thing though, i'd have take Kenny off instead of Burns. Hindsight is a wonderful thing though.
  8. Horrific refereeing, terrible miss from rooney and christ was Lewis was unlucky. That referee must have some pay packet at half time.
  9. He is a stupid fuck though. Not overly surprising.
  10. Well. He's evened that up. Shinnie should have been off. And TC told me about this double punishment rule. Shite rule. Should have played advantage too.
  11. Rooney probably took his worst penalty in a dons shirt. We are clearly the better side though. Keeper should have been sent off.
  12. Their fans make some noise. According macdermid there are about 400 of us there
  13. Believe the ties are being played 16/17 August
  14. Pitch looks immaculate, will suit our "long ball" game
  15. I knew someone would raise that. So, a game a year is acceptable? If McInnes deems him what is required, i'll trust his judgement and happily be proved wrong. Personally, I am surprised he's still at the club.
  16. Out Work Flat watching either RedTV or stream Hopefully toasting a victory 2-1 Rooney, Jack Hayes reportedly out for 4 weeks which is far from ideal but for once I feel we should have adequate cover. Agree with A_D, as long as it's not PeePaw as he really has done fuck all.
  17. Burns can, surely storey can play there too?
  18. Hayes out of tomorrows game
  19. Think one of the EE journo's said that he was signing with some African outfit this week. Wasn't surprised given we'd announced another signing who'd also played in the same closed door friendly on Friday. Interested to see who our plan b/c are though.
  20. Scott Wright hattrick
  21. Dundee have signed the former pars striker. I know a few folk on here were hoping we'd look(ed) at him.
  22. According to someone on twitter, us, Bolton and Swindow are after Lloyd Jones for a season long loan deal from Liverpool (central defender).
  23. Here's hoping MBT! Referee will be Bulgarian, hopefully won't favour them too much Edit: apparently card happy...
  24. Travel news for those going to Slovenia: https://www.gov.uk/government/world-location-news/nk-maribor-v-aberdeen-fc-travel-advice
  25. Kesi omolokum signed for the devopment squad. Joins from Bradford. Actually smiling in his signing photo! Rarity!
