Where are you going to be for the semi? If in Osaka, I know a place called "the Hub" which has multiple screens so you might be ok. I can ask a few mates out there otherwise. There's always the token irish pub, Blarney Stone being one of the,.
  4. They were already shite, so probably blended in quite easily.
  5. Daily express catching up it seems, or the evening express got it wrong Anyway, the express saying he's getting a new deal, nothing on their site yet, would be wise if these Ireland calls become a regular occurrence.
  6. Not really a football bust up but me and my mates had to step in and save a jambo once after a night in Glasgow. Was being set about by a bunch of hibs casuals the night before the derby. Most bizarre end to a night I've ever had. Never forget the sight of seeing one my mates with 3 of them on his back and still winning All in the same night as singing a certain song to durrant at a gig, he was raging
  7. Did not know that, what an absolute fud! Mind you, that's magoo-esque...
  8. True enough one of my mates is a York city fan, haven't spoken about jaclyn in a while. Trust his level of hate will be on par with ours now
  9. If you hit more below the other smilies, you get one of the classics
  10. Good man, glad you've stepped up to the plate Always enjoyed them on Mad
  11. Is Morris alive? I know he was on the bench a few weeks back, presume we'll never see him in a red shirt (apart from the u-20's)?

Definitely an experience So temples, my favourite one is the Kiyomizu-dera which is in the hills overlooking the city. Golden temple is lovely but generally rammed with tourists. The streets down the hill from Kiyomizu-dera are fully of small pottery shops, some decent noodle places there too Try this sake bar, i've not been but my parents went there last time they were there and raved about it: http://openkyoto.com/postcards/kyoto-sake-bar-sake-cafe-hanna.html The Nishiki market is worth a visit too. Kyoto Sanga, the local football team, aren't very good, but the atmosphere was pretty good when I went. Travel wise, make sure you get the Japan Rail Pass. It doesn't get you on the most current bullet trains but does get you on the Hikari I think, so you'll get to Kyoto from Tokyo in reasonable time. In Osaka, make sure you try some of the Okonomiyaki. It originates from Osaka and was a street food. Dotonbori is ace if the Hanshin Tigers (one of Osaka's baseball teams) wins, if they win the championship they jump in the river here. There's also a department store in Osaka which has a small ferris wheel in the front. It's a really strange store, used female underwear in a vending machine.
  13. Welcome aboard! Were you a fan of Fiorentina or just the place? In fairness, I no longer live in Manchester...
  14. Anything come of this then? Was there any word of how long the trial was even going to be for? Presume if he's unattached it would be for a week
  15. Abso-fucking-lutely. Still undecided whether I am going to try and make it up last minute for this one but looks unlikely
  16. It's still Ayrshire mate it's like arguing over shades of shite

I Know TC might be able to help you with general Japanese chat, since he went there a couple of years ago. I have family from the Kyoto region and been there a few times, although not for 6 years. Have a list of things for you to check out, so will post tonight
  18. His 15th club Personally, i can't stand him. He's been putting himself around a lot since leave Sheffield United.
  19. Haven't been on Mad in a while, what happened to Ed? All are welcome, differing opinions even better
  20. Was very enjoyable to watch, even more so with a drinking game Yanks deserved it, although Willet's brother was spot on with his description of their fans. "get in the water" and "Cheeseburger" And they wonder why the world hates them. Still, that aside, some awesome golf, bit gutted I missed the individual rounds yesterday. Pieters is a machine.
  21. Having watch the RedTV highlights, I don't see how he gave it. Maybe he actively took him down after he'd spilled the ball but I would be fuming if that was Lewis. Killie are fucked, and I mean proper fucked. Shame Rooney completely fucked up his first one on one after some brilliant play in the middle of the park, could have been a contender for goal of the month had that gone in. I know it's only Killie, but we looked much better and more composed. Wish it wasn't the international break, as usual it's come as we have started to find some form. Very pleased for Hayes and Rooney that they got drafted into the full ROI squad though.
  22. Unsurprisingly, both Villa and Swansea have sack Di Matteo and Guidolin respectively. I was surprised by Swansea's appointment of him in the first place.
  23. Well, looks ominous for Europe at the moment. Some very enjoyable games over the weekend, not been able to watch today's plays but looks like the Us are absolutely dominating them
  24. Aye, read that, as Al said, no-one should not return from setting off to a football match. Sad news.
