  1. Doesn't he have a one in three record for every other club he's played for? Which only goes to show that playing for Dutd and Hearts truly is a step down in terms of level of ability required.
  2. Sounds like Richards had a good game, could have had him on a free after he left Cheltenham at the end of the season, 15 goals in a side nearly relegated starting most of his games from the wing is a good record. That said he is an ungrateful cunt and alleged disruptive influence. Any confirmed, confirmation on Hartley now?
  3. Would rather have had Kay or Gillespie if we're signing strikers from Col U, but they have decent scoring records so would cost money. I know the name but can't place why maybe Cheltenham were offered him at some point?? I think Col U loaning him out and now releasing him would suggest he's a reasonable L2 striker but can't cut it at L1. Folly, at one point, was quite highly rated so hopefully he can add a bit of bite to the midfield. TBH I'd rather have a 25 year old Folly than a 33 year old Hendire.
  4. I would have thought his prolific few seasons at PNE alongside that other Man U reject David Healy would be Macken's main claim to fame. It would have been what got him his move to City, with Keegan signing the higher scoring Macken rather than the far more talented Healy, then working out that Macken needed Healy to put the chances on a plate for him.
  5. I heard we we're also going to bring in Keigan Parker, then Deathmatch to win Jade Goody, or what's left of her.
  6. It's Alright, Pittodrie will be like a House of Love and we'll be asking the trialists to Stay another Day.
  7. Trial for what? Is McGhee willing to sit next to him on a bus? Will he change his name to Archie, for donindundonalds benefit, if he signs? http://www.goal.com/en/news/8/main/2009/11/17/1618955/from-manchester-united-to-ferencvaros-the-adnan-ahmed-story Sounds like he feels as if he has been unlucky, strange that Ferencvaros are letting him go for nothing if he has a year to run on his contract though.
  8. http://www.afc.co.uk/javaImages/23/ba/0,,10284~8895011,00.jpg[/img] Fuck sake I though I'd get to sign this in the broom cupboard.
  9. What's wrong with what he might have said? If he has said anything it's not as if it's incorrect because we won't win anything, and I very much doubt he phoned up the E&E and said; "Hi it's Steve Tosh here, former Aberdeen player. I'd just like to go on record as saying the Aberdeen will never win anything with kids. OK, Bye!"
  10. Rotherham would be down the bottom half of L2 on average attendances (around 4000, I think and probably even less this last season with playing at the Don Valley). So T/O would be pretty low, and there certainly seems to be a touch of realism creeping into the division with clubs wary of HMRC. Still there are Chairmen about willing to gamble on jumping a few divisions before taking a hit with administration and points deductions.
  11. It would depend if he came to top up his retirement fund or to graft and thus help bring on the younger guys.
  12. Everyone knows these rumours are shite, but just to blow it out of the water Sarf'end are facing another winding up order and are currently under a transfer embargo.
  13. Is Josh Magennis an acceptable name for an Aberdeen player? Perhaps we should be trying to convince him to change his name to Jimmy Maitland .
  14. Has youtube ever been more apt??
  15. Dave Jones might have rated him http://www.cardiff.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=199836 and Neil Ardley obviously does However he's not exactly highly rated by the Grimsby fans here http://www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1277633900/ who seem to offer a complete opposite view. I suppose I'm happy enough with this signing at least it's a step in the right direction. A big striker, no matter if they're shit, will at least drag a player with them. If he is any good then we might get something for him, if he's pish it's a couple of hundred a week I'd assume. At a guess a Cardiff fan's view here http://mirkobolesan.wordpress.com/2010/05/30/josh-magennis/
  16. Pity it wasn't Josh Payne that we got on trial, released from West Ham. Although if Okus is as good as he was/is I'd be happy enough.
  17. How long is his contract? As far as I can tell the only players who go from warming the bench at the OF to the Championship are the ones playing well for their SPL club before making the initial move. Two years, or whatever, and Mulgrew will be at Ross County or Dunfermline.
  18. I ken horrific doesn't come close to describing the pish that band come out with.
  19. Fuck kicking his granny, I heard Rumplestiltskin stole Maddie McCann in an attempt to win a contract at Pittodrie. Unfortunately McGhee decided that he was too small and he's now on Celtic's books.
  20. Certainly not fair on Duff. The way he is being treated will surely be noticed by other players those actually in the squad and also prospective signings. Whether or not it bothers Duff himself is irrelevant it's hardly projecting a professional image for the club. In a day and age where lack of commitment to a club is bemoaned by the supporters it is somewhat disheartening to see a player showing commitment being dealt with in this way. It surely can only serve to further damage an obviously fragile dressing room. However the really depressing thing, for me personally, is the absolute lack of signings or even hint of. At Cheltenham we've gone from having one player signed on for next season to fifteen since the end of last season, with potentially two more before the end of this week. Now I'm not saying any of these players could or should have been interesting us (Aberdeen) but it does show that there are players about looking to get signed up and are not holding out for massive wages.
  21. My comment was more to do with the Kassam having three sides.
  22. Seeing your thread made me think, what century are we in?
  23. Does this mean that Nelson won't be coming back now? Would seem pretty pointless and a bit of a waste of money if he does.
  24. Ogbonna is an interesting one, wonder where this interest has come from. It's a level higher than the league that Charlie Austin came from (he's done well at Swindon last season) but he is no where near as prolific as Austin was.
