  1. Talking of Hibs I noticed on one of the Scottish Gossip bits on the BBC site that they are looking at signing Richard Keogh from Carlisle. We had him on loan at Cheltenham and he looked a fine centre back. I was really disappointed when we didn't get him on a permanent basis.
  2. Looks like Nelson's off or is at least looking for a better offer. http://www.givemefootball.com/pfa-transfer-list http://www.givemefootball.com/transfer-details?player=14652&playerID=6711
  3. It's not a bad away day plenty decent pubs where the cops like to keep you (London Bridge??), you've got to walk through this when you get to Bermondsey which I'm sure was put in place to make you feel intimidated rather than for your protection. Might be different if Aberdeen descended on Bermondsey.
  4. Showunmi? really? I remember him at Brizzle, I couldn't believe someone as immobile as that was earning a living as a proffesional footballer.
  5. Aye plenty of goals. I think it would have been a different game if the defender that played Mr Potato Head onside hadn't convinced the lino he was offside ten minutes after the goal was scored though.
  6. Anyone else watching Forest v the weegie holiday resort?
  7. Aluko would probably do alright in L1. L1 seems to be a bit of an anomaly of a league where footballing ability appears to rule rather than the physicality of the Championship and L2. Virgo I suppose would offer options in CF, RB and CB so I suppose on a free got to be worth a look.
  8. Wow it's like we've signed a whole new team. Magoo can have no more excuses. McRobbie looks as though he's grown, which is surely a positive?
  9. Ha Ha! At Cheltenham I can remember joining in, in giving Kayode Odejayi a standing ovation at the last home game of the season 2005 with the collective thought being "Thank Christ this'll be the last we see of this useless lump". Only to find out John Ward had been moved by the reception he was given and had awarded the obvious fans favourite a new contract . We did manage to punt him to Barnsley 2 years later for £200k, so it wasn't all bad.
  10. Would these targets have really cost more than paying off both our management team and paying up for motherwells not to mention Leightons contract. Then you could potentially factor in the Ifil Grassi and the difference between Bossu's and Nelsons contracts.
  11. Obviously fluked into Europe due to other teams being so bad, purely papering over the cracks. JH&CBMG
  12. Wasn't Pawlett in the previous managers plans for last season and would have played more and got his debut sooner if it was not for injury?
  13. Ha! Ha! I was going to suggest that users of another forum may have suggested Lee Mair and Scott Severin.
  14. Aye I thought that was the main reason we had to have the ground in the middle of nowhere. A dream scenario was a scaled down Ricoh Arena esque design with indoor training facilities where the IEC part is on the Ricoh. The least I would have expected is a couple of dog shit strewn grass pitches!!
  15. I might be missing something but where are the training facilities?
  16. Fuck me they truly are trying to suck every single little bit of soul out of the club aren't they. The design for my new kitchen got me more excited than that. Shit football at an uninspiring ground we'll be lucky to get 21 folk along there never mind 21000. Please tell me it's nae real and someone knocked that up on google sketchup in 5 minutes this can't be the result of 15 years worth of planning.
  17. It could be a convenient excuse. I wonder if he'll still be stuck come Saturday?
  18. If the Fyvie rumour is true, how much power can one 16 year old have? We were lead to believe his opinion was a contributing factor in the last management team change, now we are hearing this team is going to be broken up on his prompting. If the Aluko rumour is true, what a difference a year makes. If both were to be true it would only highlight the shambles we are in.
  19. If he's only leaving now by car it'll need to be a fast car.
  20. As long as we have your assurances that next season isn't going to be transitional and the worst Aberdeen manager in history will drastically improve on his record, I'll sleep easy at night.
  21. Wasn't there some quoted interest from Kimpl in joining us and I think some quote from McGhee saying he was a good player but not someone he would be pursuing?
  22. I wasn't going to bother responding as I don't think the first comment is worth the time of day. The second comment though; Not one person said it would take a season to sort everything out, until it became obvious that things were not going to work out as well as was predicted, now that may have been as early as immediately after the sigma debacle but prior to that, it was all fantasy land stuff.
  23. mmmmmm potentially slightly libellous, I'd say.
  24. Dear Mr McGhee, No Dundee rejects please. Yours Sincerely baggy89 FBM
  25. I'm sure that is the case with Mulgrew, and that is indefensible, but for the young lads do you not think there's a bit of the dumped male teenage bravado about it; "I don't care, didn't like her any way the fat ugly cow"? Then multiply that if he was to find out all this birds mates were calling him ugly and a waste of space?
