That's all very well but the better players will be offered better contracts by clubs in a better financial and footballing position than us. Clubs like ours will be left with what no-one else wants, which is OK as long as we can get them signed up and working with the rest of the squad earlier in the pre-season in order for the team to gel and get to know one another. If not we will have our usual slow start and heads will drop immediately due to last seasons abysmal form.

The fact is young ambitious players in the SPL want to put themselves in the shop window to get a big paying gig in Englandshire, they were likely to get that in the SPL top 4 and UEFA Cup. There are definately decent players to be had from L2 and like I said in a previous thread where we were discussing keepers. The dale defence seemed pretty composed and solid when they came to our place but that was a fair whole ago and I can't remember if this guy played. Having said that I always thought Ifil looked solid when I saw him.
