  1. It was Considine alongside Anderson in 06/07 at 19/20 years old that qualified us for Europa League under Jimmy. I think Anderson leaving the following season forcing the more regular inclusion of Diamond on the right and the signings of Mair and more so Mulgrew the season after, hampered Considine's development. Was around that time he seemed to bulk up lose what pace he had, before being shunted to left back. I think when he moved back after Mulgrew went to the Tims, he struggled against the better teams. Was almost nailed on for a few seasons he'd give away a penalty occasionally combined with a red card against Celtic. Sometimes people remember only that Considine; and not the dependable CB/LB we've had for the last 7-8 years since he improved his positional play and concentration. No doubt in my mind that Considine would have played at a higher level than Diamond did, had he left to England. Never really got why managers seemed to trust him at times then not. That said likely be 4th all time by seasons end and if he keeps playing for another couple of seasons could end up 3rd behind only Miller and McLeish. Good going considering some of the opinions I've read about him over the years.
  2. £3 million up front seems a bit pish, when you consider Forest fans think they'll get £15 - 20 million for Joe Worrall.
  3. Thought he was a better DM than the rat was/is, based on times I saw him play season before last and played CB too, I think. However, hun mink and positions we are drowning in. Maybe just me, but deal also has a stink of something more.
  4. Allegedly, Cosgrove McKenna McGeoch Bryson Kennedy Devlin These 6 appear in all lists I’ve seen. The last two vary and names include. Anderson, Ojo, Ferguson, Hayes.
  5. May have been, their original bid/bids did not meet our valuation?
  6. Fair play to Hayes, didn’t he sign a new contract the Jan before he left to ensure we got a fee, refunded any new strips with his name when he did go, and am I right in thinking also donated some of his signing on fee to the community trust or youth development???
  7. Aye, Gillhaus and Shearer.

    5G

Don’t most people have 5g WiFi routers in their home nowadays? I know I’ve had for about 5 years. OK not as amplified but the bandwidth will be the same.

    Coronavirus

Picked up that the thinking around today’s increase is that they were just counting confirmed (tested) hospital patients who became fatalities. Today they started to include suspected hospitalised cases, and we will see another “correction” when they start to count those passing at home both confirmed and suspected.

    Coronavirus

Just back at work today after self-isolating/working from home last week. Was out Friday all-day trains, restaurants, pubs etc then out Saturday same. Got home Saturday night my throat felt raw, really suddenly. Not one for pain killers, but had no choice wasn't sleeping without. Bit of a cough and sore throat next day, thought I've overdone it. Sunday evening shivery feverish, same all-day Monday. Bit wiped out Tuesday so phoned 111 on the basis, of what I do, should probably know for sure. 40 odd minutes of hold before ran off symptoms, got asked if I’d had various other symptoms a lot of which seemed irrelevant like, “have you lost a significant amount of weight recently?”?? got told I probably had a bug as symptoms for covid-19 were XXX which I had just told them I had. Son off school with similar sore throat, fever bit of a cough Thursday Friday. Don’t care if I had it or just a similar cold. Odd that they were quite clearly fobbing me off and given what I do I would have expected an interest in testing me. I had had direct contact with X frontline health and social care workers in the previous 10 days who themselves probably went on and had direct contact with X colleagues and X service users.
  13. Gerrard on points deductions and title stripping for teams found guilty of financila doping... https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-city-ffp-ban-champions-league-liverpool-premier-league-title-steven-gerrard-2014-a9338716.html
  14. Pathetic. Narrow, no movement, when we did spread the ball no-one was stretching the game and we weren’t pinging it about from the middle they were 40yd cross field balls. McGeoch was dropping deeper than McKenna & Devlin. Twice I wished I’d been quicker on the screen shot as the camera panned forward with Kennedy, Cosgrove & (second time, not sure if it was both) Anderson stood static, arm width apart, on the left of the St Johnstone box. We have no one willing or able to provide the touch and control in that area between the centre circle and the box, to allow the team to move forward. We seem to be trying to counter any press with a long ball not jus a high press. Felt a wee bit sorry for McGeouch at one point when he clearly had no movement in front of him so he puts his arms out and shrugs like “how do you think I’m getting the ball to any of you, and even if I do I’ll be making a challenge to win it back when you lose it.”
  15. Should be 2 up really. Cosgrove has arsed up 2 great chances. Morelos seems to be playing wide right so he’s against Considine, rather than more central against McKenna. Tbf seems like Taylor is covering McKenna when the frog does come more central. Only really a 10/15 minute spell where we were sat back absorbing hun pressure. Better than expected.
  16. Is the son of a mattress playing the day? If so is that the first time he’s faced McKenna this season. Likely red card there...
  17. Given Sundays lack of anyone breaking lines you would hope (in McLennan) we don't loan out one of the very few players who does so, with any regularity, for us.
  18. Sam's game is far more than flick on's and hold up play. He's got decent feet, decent acceleration, speed and obviously is strong (whithout giving away a lot of fouls). Cealry he know's where the goal is too. The issue lies not with him but with the; Ojo/Ferguson/McGeouch(now) to Considine/McKenna/Taylor, HOOF! or Considine/McKenna/Taylor to Lewis, HOOF! Occasionally we really mix it up with; Ojo/Ferguson/McGeouch(now) to Considine/McKenna/Taylor to Lewis, HOOF!!! Cosgrove, when it doesn't go wide, has 3 options; a 50 - 60 yeard pass back into his own half to the nearest midfielder take it in, turn and take-on the 2 or 3 players marking him as there is no other Aberdeen players within 30 yards to take them away from him or play it to a wide player who has similar numbers picking them up. When the hoof balls do go wide more often than not the wide players are not running onto the ball they're firstly trying to keep it in. When they do get a cross in it's easily dealt with as there are no midfielders arriving late. It's easy for any defensive unit to pick up the 2 or 3 attacking players in dangerous positions. It's like they've been training on a tattie field, not a super-duper state of the art bowloing green-esque training pitch... Still at least Jon Gallagher ran fast.
  19. Hasn’t one of our directors said there is no sell on clause? Sam stays on after training to improve himself, according to Cormack.
  20. Wim Hoff?
  21. Carson the hun fuck, can fuck right off. Mink.
  22. Get him on loan to Caley try and fuck up the jutes auto promotion. Him and Bruce Anderson. Motivation there for the lads. .
  23. All three are very good in their own way. Not usually a fan of Kevin Bacon, I guess you're not supposed to actually like his character (which helps) but you do just because he's such a cunt and things keep going his way. Could end up a bit of a classic depending on how well written the next few series are. Tin Star is daft but it's supposed to be, comedy drama I suppose and Tim Roth plays the lead perfectly. Can't wait for the third series although not sure about them swapping a back drop of Canada for Liverpool... Succession is probably my favourite. Another "Dramedy". Brian Cox is excellent.
  24. Succession, City on a Hill, Tin Star all on Now TV.
  25. Switched it off as the ?went to tap his goal in. Have since seen our goals. Tavenier should have had a yellow for his attempt to stop Gallaghers goal with his arm. I have no other comment other than, we were at least as good as a pub team in various states of hangover/drunkenness, for the bit I saw.
