  1. Nothing more than that of the link which NorthernLights posted in the other thread: http://www.itthad.com/tourteamseng.php The full name of the team is Aluminium Naja Hammadi if that is any help for searching.
  2. Getting £50k for John Stewart was a fantastic piece of business! (saying that, getting rid of him for nowt would also have been a fantastic piece of business)
  3. I think this season we will see a few different players wearing the armband. It certainly makes it interesting with Seve, Nicholson, Hart and perhaps McNamara making themselves candidates for the position.
  4. I have no doubt that Russell probably wanted to go, but on this transfer all eyes are on the board and it has been clear that they had no intention of 'battling' to keep him. I'm just stating that the board better not try to hoodwink us into thinking that they wanted Anderson to stay (just so they could remain onside with the fans) because it is clear that wanted to get a transfer fee out of it. I haven't said anywhere that Anderson is bigger than AFC.
  5. 31-year-old Hmmm, I suppose it wouldnae hurt to give him a trial.
  6. As long as we don't hear noises from Pittodrie along the following lines: "Oh, we battled to keep him" .... "we fought to get a good fee for him"... If the club wanted to keep him they would have offered him a new deal. End fucking of. As for offering his signing on fee to youth development: what a guy, a true fan.
  7. Completely gutted. However, Anderson has been a great servant to this club and in the modern game he can be considered a legend. All the best to him and his family doon sooth.
  8. If anyone confirms the sale, it'll be the clubs involved and not the local rag. I'm sorry, but I will refuse to believe any of this tosh until I see it confirmed on RedWeb or the usually more reliable BBC website. This stuff really pisses me off.
  9. Realistically, no-one wants to invest into a club which simply serves the purpose of fulfilling debt repayments. AFC needs to show that it is capable of the sort of financial management which suggests that we are able to get out of the debt which hangs around us. With some results on the pitch and prudent management off it - its possible, but will be a long, hard slog. Once we are no longer operating at a loss I hope that would signal the return of investment in AFC, both from SM and other investors. We're going in the right direction at the moment, but it is so easy to go backwards at this stage. UEFA Cup is the key to this, and if its not to be this season then we have to make sure we are back up there at the end of next season!
  10. True and its something I'd like to see, but boxing day is hardly in the middle of winter anymore. You'd be lucky to get a sniff of snow on that day, especially the mild winters we've been having in recent times.
  11. So the SPL should have given you a phone to make sure the fixture calendar was to your liking should they? I meant a few hours for the majority of fans that travel to the games and not everyone in bumfuck nowhere.
  12. Remember that when we play Gretna we will actually be playing at Fir Park at not at Gretna! The SPL is mostly made up of teams from the central belt, so no real surprise that we would have been going down there - and either ICT, Dundee Utd or ourselves would have to lose out, no matter how you arrange the fixtures. Anyway, its only Scotland - the country is bloody tiny and only takes a few hours on the road to get where you need to be. Think if you had to travel hundreds of miles, or take flights just to follow your club team every other week!
  13. I doubt we'll ever find out what went on.
  14. Hmmm...thats the only one I've got on my laptop, and I can't even remember far I got it fae. You could perhaps try the club, if you told them what it was for then they might oblige. Then again, maybe not.
  15. Mackie's wedding day photie is in todays p&j.
  16. This is the one which I have on my laptop background. Is this it?
  17. I was away for the week too, and seemed to have missed all the palaver... ...funnily enough it seems to have coincided with switching over to Richie Byrne for June on my AFC calendar.
  18. I think we can all agree that 3 is the magic number. Fucking magic.
  19. Hart is the type of player that we need to keep at Aberdeen, a solid player who puts in a decent shift week in and week out and knows the score in that defence. Sure we could get a few Michael Hartesque players for £450k, but do you think JC is the man that could find them? I wouldn't want Aberdeen to become a 'selling' club like Hibs, especially to the OF all the time!
  20. He's nae a role model....he's a roll model.
  21. I wish I was old enough to have been there but I'm very proud of my club for it!
  22. Removed his shirt = instant yellow I'm afraid. He also 'entered' the crowd (as did Chris Clark) apparently and according to the rules that comes under 'inciting crowd disorder' or something like that. The referee had no choice but to send him off. Suspended for the Celtic game and Chris Clark will be suspended for the Rangers game.
  23. He is sheeeite, but he won't be going anywhere I imagine so he better pull his fucking socks up.
  24. It should be up to the sports governing body to dictate the terms to the clubs in its leagues and not the other way around - that would be a start. The larger teams are always going to make decisions and vote so that their own needs will always be satisfied first - that is the way of it, and our own club is included in that. What the SPL chiefs need to understand that falling crowds are partly attributed to their own mis-management and it is their responsibility to make changes for the benefit of the sport in this country. Take Formula 1 for example, now I am a fan but I completely understand other people who find it the most boring sport on the planet. As a result, fans and viewer numbers fell as things became predictable and stale. The governing body (FIA) was able to spot this, and then took action in order to mix things up a bit, enforcing rule changes, changes to qualifying - a major overhaul of the way the sport is run. Hardly any of the teams were in favour of any of these changes, particularly the successful teams who are only interested in maintaining the status quo. The beaks in charge of Scottish football need to do the same - the split is one small step, but more needs to be done to continuously improve the product that is Scottish Football. This is why we have such structures - to run and manage the leagues successfully. I agree with the points made that we only require one Scottish Football Association. No other country in the planet has as much red-tape in its football management than tiny wee Scotland.
  25. I think we should sign him just for that tache. Surely he'll become a fans favourite, with the support growing quality taches in his honour. I can't wait.
