  1. But if we can perhaps begin to look at it from Barry Nicholson's perspective for a minute here. He has been a core part of a team which has improved year on year, culminating in a tie against Bayern Munich in the last 32 of the UEFA Cup with the real possibility of a domestic cup final. For his employers to turn round to him and say that he is getting a pay cut for his efforts is bare faced cheek. We were specifically informed that money gained from the transfer of Anderson and from the UEFA Cup campaign was ring fenced to ensure that we could retain playing and coaching staff. Now, this obviously has not happened. So what the fuck is going on with it?
  2. If it is anything like Madrid then I could be paying £8 extra to get spat on and drinks thrown at me from retards in the Aberdeen crowd above?
  3. Apart from the price, does anyone know the difference between the £28 and £20 tickets available for the away leg?
  4. This season has been fantastic, the UEFA Cup run has gone well beyond my expectations and given me some memories that will last with me for years - and there is more to come with the Bayern games. We could well even be in a Cup final this year with a very good opportunity to raise some silverware for the first time in years. However, I feel that this season is going to be a very bittersweet one with the next few days events which might lead to drastic changes at Pittodrie. Its all hearsay at the moment but the signs are not good. I suppose that with the highs of European football we all have some harsh realities to live up to - be that the players, management, directors and fans.
  5. I think it will be the announcement that SM will be wiping out the debt and giving JC a £20M 'warchest' to bolster the squad ahead of our UEFA tie with Bayern Munchen. AFC will become a force in Scotland again giving the OF cause to cower in fear as we rise again..and that Chris Clark will be leaving. As regards to the four players, I would consider them very much a core part of our squad and while I think that some of them are replaceable I don't think Aberdeen would be able to do it and match the quality that would be leaving.
  6. This is all very well, but I'm going to wait until the press conference before I start making comments about the ambition and loyalty of the manager and players in question. The signs don't look good though...
  7. Dreary stuff and if it weren't for some creative falling from Miller it would have been a goalless bore. Funny how a single goal can change a chorus of boos into cheers!
  8. On ScotSport the other day, Gerry McNee ( ) claimed it was the Simmie incident that ignited the rivalry between Aberdeen and Rangers. Didn't Willie Johnston stamp on McMaster's throat years before this? And I'm sure there were many other flashpoint incidents between the clubs before then, not to mention the fact that Aberdeen often thumped Rangers during that decade....it seems only a moron would claim that the reason todays games are so contested is because of "something the Dons did X years ago".
  9. We get these same arguments every time we play the Huns and its all very...................boring...................
  10. 1. Mizer 2. Glasgow Sheep (at last) 3. Chimp 4. Kowalski 5. JimmyJimmy + 2
  11. Silly English fud. On about smith "getting a hatrick". What a stroker! On about England Vs Croatia and allsorts. Is this the future of sports commentary? Fucking gimp.
  12. "How to pump teams oot the UEFA Cup" by J. Calderwood Esq. Available in all good bookstores.

I'm looking for Jimmy Nicholl's Chip 'Eh Keeper Challenge - I can't find it anywhere!
  16. To be fair, I prefer the "come on you reds" announcement at the start of the match. Pretty much the who crowd joins in at that point ...one of only few during the game. I'd also like to hear the Northern Lights played at the start of the match, but our fans these days make such a cunt of it. It sounds like it is sung at high tempo over a Happy Hardcore track - slow down ye hoors! I like the bundesliga style announcers when a goal is scored or substitution is made where the announcer calls...."Claudio".....the crowd reply......"Pizzarooooooooo". Love to hear that at Pittodrie, but we'd be shite at it.
  17. Good stuff. I had my doubts about him, and his ability to claim crosses as well as his kicking but he seems to have put in some hard work since then to get the no. 1 jersey. After Dnipro I have no doubt that Langfield is 100% dandy and the performance he put in that night showed just how much ability he has. Its up to the manager and the coaching staff to get it from him on a regular basis now.
  18. 500 I think. They will be in the main stand section A.
  19. Thats fucking ace! God, my school was shite.
  20. I know this too, I'd already said it in my first post. The SPL have made an arse of this whole situation, by not making a clear decision on the matter. - Teams could begin rearranging the football schedule to suit their own objectives, with some teams grouping together to allow some fixtures to change and others not. - TV companies like Setanta will start having an interest. Imagine that the decision to change a fixture came down to the opinion of an executive who was a supporter of a team that it could benefit, or the rival to one that it wouldn't? Pandora's box has been opened and we've found a fucking jobby in it.
  21. There's nothing stopping Jimmy resting any players for the match against Motherwell.
  22. I think this is the right decision, but it should have never been allowed to happen. Motherwell are on good form just now, and are competing for the Euro spot...we are one of few teams who are their direct competitors. Why should they be disadvantaged by not playing a team who will have Europe on their minds? If Jimmy decides to rest players before the Copenhagen game against Motherwell then as a club that is our cross to bear. That's football.
