Anyone ever done the Eurotunnel in their car before? I believe you board at Folkstone and drive oot again near Calais but I can find surprisingly little online about it. Can't even see how long the crossing takes. The ferries are mental expensive so it looks like it's the tunnel or nothing.
Do you stay seated in your car for the duration of the journey?
Went there a lot as a kid. There was nowhere else you could go to launch yersel into water from moderate heights. You can maybe so that at the Sports Village now? Nae sure but although I doubt I'll ever use the baths again it would be nice to see them re-open. And as Tom says that last thing we fucking need are more offices. Or "luxury apartments".
Willie was managing the Dons when I made my supporting debut at Pittodrie but I've seen more than enough of our history to fully appreciate just how good a player he was. Thoroughly enjoyed reading his book too. It's a shame management didn't work out for him (neither in or out of football) but nevertheless he will always be a legend. It's not too late for a statue to be erected so that we can all say erected.
I'm in the "No thanks" camp for a change. Although if Deek feels he's up to the job I will support the move. Don't think it'll be on Deek's mind though.
The staff are good. It's just a shame that the gear is generally pretty fucking dreadful. And I'm nae even one of these fashion police casual types by any means.
We, and every other team in the league show Celtic and Rangers (deceased) far too much respect. It'll sting my ring giving them a guard of honour in all honesty. But I will go with whatever the club decide.
Not TV but this was all on TV at some point. After randomly listening to a Corries song about the battle of Stirling Brig I realised that I didn't know anything about said battle. Or Scottish history in general. I watched a wee documentary on it from YouTube which I found fascinating. Now I share it with my fellow DTers. Although I expect this stuff isn't as new to many of you as it was to me. It's in 3 parts and the song I alluded to by the Corries first.
I read the OP and had a think about it. I think a lot depends on how we finish the season. It's far from over. Not winning anything has been a bitter disappointment whereas before last season it would've been an inevitable disappointment.
If we were to get another cuffing from Celtic and lose any of the other games it's going to leave us in a very negative place. Then you'd have to say that last season was better because we won a trophy. If we manage to carry on consistently winning games and beat Celtic and run them as close as we can in the league it'll shine a more positive light on the season.
