  1. Shite draw. I think I'll go to Hearts away on the 8th of December due to having no away day for the Cup.
  2. Totally agree. Against St Mirren in the cup convinced me totally that Vernon needs to be benched for a few games. I like the look of Hayes, Fraser, McGinn and Smith. All have a low center of gravity, all are quick and tricky and are difficult to handle! I really think we would be able to play to our strengths without the option of punting it high to Vernon.
  3. Purely for the full day excitment, I would prefer an away day to a lower league outfit. However, purely for chances of going through to the next round, a home tie against a lower league outfit.
  4. Well I was reading Jonathan Wilson's book on the history of tactics in football but I'm afraid I just couldn't get into it. Whilst it was interesting enough, I just found it quite repetitive. I'll maybe leave it for a while and go back to it at a later date. So now, I'm halfway through - Quite enjoyable so far. Goes into how it was developed, how the players stats are researched, interviews with researchers, stories by players of the game and interviews with some CM/FM hall of famers including Mark Kerr >
  5. Probably on about the racism issue. Definitely won't have been declaring how he's going to work hard for his place in the team or saying anything postitive. Anus. Fuck off Brown.
  6. I heard that United and Hearts were dressed up for halloween. They went as empty seats.
  7. Would have liked to be going to this/ In/Oot: Oot Prematcher: Nae idea. Match: Nae idea. Postmatcher: Nae idea. Prediction: 0-3 The Delicious Dandy Dons.
  8. Dissappointing. Started both half's well but then we seemed to get dragged down to St Mirren's level. Had a good chunk of possession around their box but too often, we failed to do anything with it. Looked better once Fraser and Smith came on. Hayes and McGinn were lively and always looking to create but for one reason or another, it just didn't happen. Vernon continues his poor season, maybe time to freshen things up. I fucking detest that cunt Goodwin. How that fuck-head manages to get on Sportscence and spout his fucking pish is beyond me. He's shite and just playing the pantomine villan to cover up for his serious inadequacies as a footballer.
  9. That's a blow. Whilst the midfield looks settled and has been playing well, having players like Milsom on the bench is nothing but a positive sign. Would have liked to see him kick on and get playing well again. Hopefully he will come back stronger. Aye, with regards to Folly, I agree with Tyrant. His comeback from a broken ankle seemed to be the longest recovery period ever. Don't ken what went on there. Whilst he was a decent enough player, I doubt he would get a game for us now. He had the tendency to run around like a headless chicken IMO. He also seemed to be pretty lightweight.
  10. I'm in tonight. Weather not too cold so it's a help. Don't feel right saying it but I hope Broon gives Fraser a rest tonight. Would like to see Hayes play from the start as he's been impressive since the start of the season and has been unlucky given the form of Fraser and McGinn since he came back from injury has prevented him from starting. Hayes is more than capable of providing the same sort of flair and creativity that Fraser provides and it does the squad no harm to rotate things a bit. I don't think it would do any harm in protecting Fraser by giving him a bit of a rest either.
  11. What's the significance of 51?
  12. Motherwell going through a very poor run of form. Be interesting to see how McCall and Motherwell react. Can't mind on the last time Motherwell went through such a poor run.

    Films

Gan to see Skyfall tonight. Never really gotten into Daniel Craig's Bond films so hopefully this one will live up to the reviews!
  14. Grassi! How he managed to find his way back to Scottish football/professional football is beyond me!
  15. Sooner this clown fucks off the better. I still don't think him or Langfield is good enough but I would take Langfield every day of the week over Brown. His attitude stinks and instead of getting his head doon and working hard, he seems to be more interested in spouting shit to the media/anybody who will listen and trying to big himself up. Langfields been in and oot of the team over the years and had a brain seizure but you very rarely hear him blabbing his gums in the papers. I think that the fact that it seems that almost the entire squad seems to have very little to do with him Brown speaks volumes about him as an individual.
  16. They were up in the back two rows of RDU also. Before they got shifted to section Y I think.
  17. As much as I (along with many) cursed for them, I think the Ultra's started up most of the signing when they occupied the back of the RDU. I was a season ticket holder up at the back during Calderwood and McGhee and the atmosphere and signing definitely went down after the Ultra's got the boot. As you say though, if the players are playing well then the atmosphere and signing goes up. During McGhee, it was a morgue! I've moved down to South Stand as the atmosphere is the same everywhere now a days. Me and my mates always say that we wish there was a season ticket for away games as just the atmosphere, signing and don't forget about the piss up is so much better than spending £23 to sit quietly during home games.
  18. We started well yesterday but United quickly started to get a foothold in the game and started to dominate possession and territory. Russell was very dangerous all game and gave Reynold's a torrid time. Reynolds should have done far better against Russell for their goal rather than the feeble attempted tackle that he did. Langfield did all he could really and Rankin turned it home. First half we played very poorly and was actually glad to get to half time, one nil down! Anderson was outstanding and his tackle on Russell when he was clean through was immense! Was standing right in front of it and it was a brilliant tackle, getting the ball fully. Gravesen-esque from a few years back! Very unlucky not to get a goal either. Second half, we came out of the blocks far better. Looked like they got a rocket from Broon and Knox at half time. We seemed to get Fraser and McGinn on the ball much more and we looked far more dangerous. We really do have some utter fuckwits in our support, what was hoped to achieve by throwing coke cups and a lighter at the players? Fucking idiots. The second half was even with both teams having chances to win it. For us, McGinn was absolutely brilliant in the second half. Hughes had that chance that the keeper came out quickly and McGinn dummied it for Vernon who got a rather weak shot away first time. He should have done better. I thought Osbourne, Robertson and McGinn all had really good games. I wonder if Osbourne had been played at central midfield, Johnny Russell would have been so dangerous? I think Osbourne could have kept him quiet or at least, nullified his danger to an extent. Robertson really impressed me, he had a very good game at left back. Good for the loon! Man of the match IMO - Russell Anderson. Absolutely strolled through the game and as I have already said, made an absolutely outstanding tackle on Russell to prevent us from going two down. Commanding and didn't really put a foot wrong all game. Even for his yellow card, it stopped what looked like a very dangerous attack.
  19. BBC Sport reporting that there might be the possibility of delayed kick off.
  20. Im on the 11:05 bus from Aberdeen. Past St Cyrus but crawling at some stages! Absolute nightmare!
  21. Sounds like we will be outselling them again!
  22. Maybe best go for London then?!
