  1. I see Gomis has been released by Birmingham. Also worth a look?
  2. 4-1! Lewandowski again! Mental!
  3. 1-1 Dortmund and Real. I do like Mourinho so would like to see him get to another final but at the same time, a Bayern v Dortmund final would be cracking. A real winner for German football.
  4. 10 game ban is completely deserved IMO. However, I would imagine they will probably get it reduced to about 8 on appeal. Have to say that I do agree with Lineker. They need to be consistent and forceful on all issues, not just picking and choosing which ones to be strong on (biting) and issues where they are perhaps too leniant (Terry racism row/4 game ban).
  5. Jim Bett the last non OF player to win it in 1989-90 season. That minky cunt Griffiths will win it IMO, whether he deserves it or not.
  6. Aye it's always after the shite rugby and an international game on it then it turns into midden for a few months. The worst state I have ever seen the pitch in was the 4-4 game with Celtic, absolutely atrocious. I mind (quite rightly) Robbie Keane complaining about it.
  7. I'm seriously considering getting another season ticket next season. Despite the ridiculous prices and poor value for money, I've gone a few seasons without it and I do miss it to a certain extent. Paying £23 at the turnstiles is a complete rip off but it doesn't seem so bad with a season ticket! Stupid logic I know! If I do, fairly certain it will be in the Sooth. Plus you never know, next season could be THE season!
  8. Sounded absolutely awful. How many Dons fans were there out of interest?
  9. Car crash of a club now. Almost worth bearing in mind when I think that it can't get any worse at Pittodrie!
  10. Emergent service workers This class group is financially insecure, scoring low for savings and house value, but high for social and cultural factors. According to the Great British Class Survey results, lots of people in this group: Are young Enjoy a cultured social life Rent their home - almost 90%
  11. For players that he should be keeping, I've gone for - Jack, Robertson, Anderson, Considine, Milsom, McGinn, Hayes, Shaughnessy, Pawlett, Osbourne and Reynolds. Looking at that players there, you've got a good basis of a side but just needs small repairs e.g a right back, a keeper, striker etc. Magennis can get to fuck. He's got very little footballing ability and all he has got is being built like a brick shit house and can run fairly fast. If scoring at Celtic Park is a barometer for how good you are as a professional footballer then John Stewart and Zdrillic have been cracking players for us! Using that performance as an example of why we should be keeping him conveniently hides the fact that for the most of his Aberdeen career, he has been dung. Langfield can also go. A decent shot stopper who will give you on average of 3 or 4 howlers a season, a bottler of the biggest variety and can't kick worth a fuck. How he has managed at AFC for so long is beyond me, maybe that's an indication of the club more than anything. His command of the box, positioning and coming off his line is absolutely terrible. Rae and Vernon are two players that if they stayed, I wouldn't be fussed but if we can get better replacements then cheerio. Rae started the season well but has started to look his age. Vernon is one that's a bit harder. Obviously a goal scorer but hasn't been able to score for love or money this season and even his other general play has gone tits up. He really has been awful this season, if he can get back to the form he showed in his first two seasons then he will be a prized asset again. If he continues with the form he has showed this season, then he is as much of a hinderance than he is helpful.
  12. A fairly unexciting appointment. Got St Johnstone promoted and went on to consolidate them as a middle of the table team, one which ain't going to be challenging up at the top and one which isn't going to be relegated. No money to pay and I'm sure he probably 'ticked all the boxes of being young and an ambitious manager' will be the party line by Milne. Again, I'll back McInnes all the way because he has got some solid foundations and now he can assess the team before the end of the season, but it's hardly one to get the pulses racing.
  13. Yes. This. I was at the County v Caley game last weekend due to being up their for a piss up anyway. The way Adams conducted himself and the way Butcher conducted himself was night and day. Adams was shouting to the crowd, the police getting involved etc. And the shite he did at the end with Butcher where he barely shook hands, said something and stormed doon the tunnel was absolutely pathetic. Butcher was livid and had to be held back from storming after him. It was like a spoilt bairn. Butcher then shook every single County players hand and celebrated with the crowd. Adams really did conduct himself in a terrible manner and without his two sidekicks Neale Cooper (whom I got a picture with later on in The Den) and his other assistant (can't mind), I got the impression he was a bit lost. He didn't seem to be able to even shout at his players without speaking to them first, instead standing there with his hands in his pockets like a fud! It should be said though that I'm not advocating Butcher for the job, just not impressed from what I see of Adams. Collins for me. McInnes, meh. As Bobby says, underwhelmed is how I would describe my feeling on him.
  14. Spurs making a proper fuck up of it so far. Livermore gets booked for time wasting in the 13th minute.
  15. Aye that interview is brilliant. I respect Levein for that, the only manager to really come oot and give it tits to something so plainly obvious for years. And as you say, he clearly has an eye for a player (United - Conway, Swanson, Bauben, Gomis, Daly etc). Plus he also overhauled United's youth system and was a member on their board. However, he clearly lost the plot with Scotland. Wouldn't be a very sensible appointment and would drive away more fans IMO. None of the names on that bookies list is exciting me. I'm not on the Derek Adams bandwagon and certainly agree that Hartely wouldn't even be mentioned had he not played for us. What's folks thought on John Collins? Won a cup for the Hibees but soon there were rumours of a player backlash against him. I would have thought he would be quite hard on the players (not a bad thing) and maybe bring something different to the job. Fresh ideas, new methods and all that jazz.
  16. Looks like they have vastly overspent and are already starting to cut costs with backroom staff going in an apparent 're-structuring' programme and David James not getting played and then going. Looks to me, like they are getting ready for the possibility of not going up.
  17. Unfortunately, especially for foreign owners, the crazy money in/being thrown at the EPL (5 billion due to come in over three years or something like that) makes it absolutely essential that they try everything in their power to stay in the EPL. This means that managers such as Adkins and McDermott will always be favourites for the sack despite what they have already achieved. With only 10 games to go, I can't really see the sense in sacking McDermott.
  18. By my rough calculation, he has managed a whopping 65 minutes since he left us. Just shows that playing in the SPL for anyone other than Celtic will nearly gurantee you of getting a nice long rest come international breaks.
  19. Aye, very much my feelings. I'm no going to another game this season, I've got far better things to be doing and far better things rather than spending my money on that shower of shit. Although saying that, I have provisionally planned going to the United away game on the 6th of April, but that's as much to do with the day oot and drink rather than the football I'll have to endure for 90 minutes. At the minute, I'm struggling to tell you who we're playing each weekend such is the level of my apathy.
  20. Just looking at the lack of updates from BBC Sport suggests that to me, it is awful as per.
