The only thing I would disagree with there is I think wee brucey is a more dangerous striker than Sokler. Different types of player though, Sokler will work the channels for you far more effectively than Anderson.

Yeah I would largely agree with this. Geggenpress systems often have a striker that isn't necessary the most prolific. Full backs tend to take over the wide midfielder duty of getting to the byline and wide midfielders, as you say, are inside forwards looking to get into the box and score themselves. It doesn't necessarily mean they are incapable no 9's, there's just more competition in the box looking to score with the two inside forwards and often the full back on the other side in there too. Bobby Firminho at Liverpool would be quite a good example maybe (not looked at any stats but the first player that came to mind) as I don't recall him scoring shit loads but I certainly remember him getting a fair few assists.

Was chatting with an ICT supporting pal a month or so ago about Bavidge. He liked him and said he proper knew where the net was but he did have a tendency to get his Casper on at times. I'm in the strange position of aching for football to come back but dreading the opening fixture. I defo feel we are going into the campaign a little under cooked both in terms of match fitness and squad building. Obviously we aren't even into August yet and the club is probably trying to keep it's powder dry until a bit closer to the end of the window. They may also be thinking about potentially impending sell on clauses becoming active and waiting to see if so before splashing out for a key target. With 8 days still to go before we head to Edinburgh my feeling is we will see at least one in and out before then. I defo think we needed a few more friendly matches but I got curious about what JT's form is for pre season. This was Elfsborg last season. So, 7 matches in 8 weeks. I've no idea why there was such a big gap between friendly 5 and 6. I'm going to suggest that Thelin doesn't hold with the idea you need to have lot's of friendlies to be match fit. Perhaps he prefers playing bounce games between the squad instead . No idea how we will lineup in other than it will be Mitov in goal, Aouchiche at 10, Topi wide left and Yengi as CF. I don't think it's impossible to go there and get something but it's not going to be easy and I defo think we need to score first.

word on the hat is it's Kerfala Cissoko a 25 yo Guinean who is currently playing for Jaro in finland but had previously played in sweden. On the face of it I would say it's bollocks though as he is uncapped and probably wouldn't get a work permit
