  1. Aye i found it literally seconds after i posted that, turns out i just needed to scroll down a bit . I work in IT as well . In my defence it was the second anniversary of a close pal taking his own life yesterday and I am a bit delicate today...... and this heat can just fuck RIGHT off!
  2. Yeah that's fucked isn't it
  3. Maybe Topi just isn't a summer holiday kinda guy. Anyone know who To is? Last name on the sub bench.
  4. Anyone going to this? I had hoped RTV might show it but apparently not.
  5. What a complete and utter wasted opportunity.
  6. Apologies Manc, just saw this. I would agree with that, every other position looks to be well stocked.
  7. OK, see what you're doing here is projection. I didn't get angry, you did. I didn't get personal either, I called you out for misrepresenting what I said, lightly teased you to which you spat the fucking dummy like a wee bairn. Stop making shit up, that's what started all this in the first place!
  8. I need to lighten up? Calm down Mr "I would debate more, but after your comment below I won't bother.". Incidently the comment that made you say that was said tongue in cheek. I appreciate it can be easy to misinterpret how something is meant from text only but maybe stop being so sensitive on a football forum where the default setting for most is to take the piss at every opportunity. As for big statement to make? Not really. As has been proven by the comments that have followed me saying that in the time since we have had a handful of players who you could call technically gifted. Anyone coming in with a high level of technical ability is going to fall into the afore mentioned category.
  9. Are you? You might want to be a bit more careful with your language then. announce /əˈnaʊns/ verb verb: announce; 3rd person present: announces; past tense: announced; past participle: announced; gerund or present participle: announcing make a formal public statement about a fact, occurrence, or intention. I stated nothing as fact therefore I could not be announcing anything. Language is important. It's probably best you don't debate, you clearly spun what I said so you could challenge me on the point as if I had stated it as fact. You don't have much of a leg to stand on quite frankly.
  10. Yeah in my head Madigol and Bojan were two big contenders for best technical players we have had the past few decades. Forgot about Christie 2bf, you could maybe bring Zerouali into that conversation as well i suppose
  11. Do learn to read Panda. I posted a video and said "from the look of it he's one of the most technically gifted players we have signed in decades". I've not stated anything as a fact, far less "announced" it, only spoken my hunch from viewing a highlight reel (and, as a first impression, I stand by it btw). I know you work in sports journalism and spinning what someone has said must be second nature but that doesn't make it true.
  12. Hard to say for sure without actually seeing him play a few games but probably the early 90's 2bh. That was the last time we could afford to sign genuinely technical players.
  13. I also watched this and Ambrose never broke into the PSG first team at 17 2bf. From the look of it this boy is one of the most technically gifted player we have signed in decades. Add into that a good attitude and it's hard to see a player like that fail in our league.
  14. Welcome! And thank you for your assessment, I've just spent the last ten minutes trying to find that kind of detail from a Mackem and then you just drop it here. FWIW I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Sunderland, one of the best bosses I ever had was a diehard Sunderland fan so I'm always pleased for him when you do well. The club statement has him down as a no 10 so i doubt he will ever be out wide unless it's an emergency. I can guarantee we will have plenty of runners for him though and my excitement at this signing is growing almost exponentially just that you say that. In Morris, Keskinen and Milanovic we have three of the quickest wingers in the league and with the kind of service you're implying they will have a field day.
  15. I don't know about anyone else but I had to rub my eyes and re-read the first few paragraphs when I realised it said we had signed a 22yo that was able to break into the psg first team at 17 and manage a goal to.
  16. Seems as good a place to put this as any. Long post alert but worth a read of both articles, particularly the first. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/young-players-given-greater-flexibility-to-move-during-key-development-stage-as-cooperation-system-launches-in-scotland/ I have to say on the face of it this is a really good idea and SFA should be commended. Interestingly Aberdeen have opted out of the new u19 league https://www.afc.co.uk/2025/07/03/strategic-changes-to-aberdeen-fcs-youth-pathway/ and we are hiring a transition coach to manage the jump between u17 and first team. This seems a quite bold move from the club but they are clearly buying into cooperation agreements as a means and I don't blame them. Being able to put three of our best out somewhere and be able to send them back and forward will be great. There's no having to worry about keeping them around as a just in case back up which can be a real block for the just about there but not quite players getting loans. It will be interesting to see how the cub approach using this system.
  17. He wouldn't need to be registered for Europe anyway due to his age and being at the club for more than two years. Agreed it's a surprising move though, in Jimmy we trust I suppose.
  18. Just watched his RTV interview, poor lad looked really uncomfortable but, as was mentioned at the end, it was his first ever on screen interview and in a language that is not his own. He does look very serious for an 18 yo though, he basically says he's a no 6 that likes to drive forward with the ball. Speaking of which this does make me wonder if Polvara will be playing behind the striker next season (assuming he doesn't leave). We already had Shinnie, Palaversa, Clarkson and Nilsen vying for those roles and he's always been a bit of an awkward fit in the def mid role.
  19. “I got a warm welcome from the guys, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. “ Aberdeen is a big club in Iceland, we know the history with the European cups, so it was an easy decision to come here. “It’s a good move for this stage in my career and I think the Scottish game will suit my style of play." Clearly he's Jim Bett's lovechild
  20. It would be too funny if he got injured in the first league cup match and was out for ages after all that.
  21. Aye, his wage demands would be prohibitive but I could see him sitting in that no 10 spot being very effective for us.
  22. Armstrong would interest me but apparently Wrexham are after him
  23. Yeah me too, how quick is he Manc? Saw him doing sprints in video put up on the first day back to pre season and he looked pretty rapid but it's not so easy to be sure over such short distances.
