Fucking loved how Young proper bust a gut to get to the ball to open the scoring. Cracking flick for Miller and he's just stuck in one against the tims.

I would actually like to see us stop being so committed to one formation. The Motherwell game is a great example, I would have been seriously tempted to change to a back 4 after 70 mins as we looked massively out of ideas and I didn't think it was just fatigue. -
Yep, all in I don't have a good feeling about this Greece game at all 2bh.
-
I wonder if you will be allowed into the concourse for a beer if you've got a ticket for another part of the ground.
-
He wasn't great against well either jute which was also concerning but I had thought he looked handy when we saw him before. Fingers crossed it's just a coming back from injury thing.
-
Polvara would make a cracking no 10 imo. He's not the most mobile but he has good touch and awareness and defenders struggle with him when he gets in the box.
-
Too early to say on the latter imo and I suspect he was probably only meant to play 45 mins after playing 45 2 days ago. I think Gyamfi has potential 2bh but time will tell, he's defo not fully match fit yet.
-
My big fear with Gordon is keepers do often fall of a cliff quite suddenly when they get to this age. As experienced as he is I would probably go Bain and pray he didn't bottle it 2bh.
-
My question would be is why doesn't international duty count as holiday time?
-
I don't necessarily agree we have zero options, I would like to see Clarkie, Milanovic, kjartensson and belalovic given more/any opportunity. Especially in games where we are clearly knackered and we look out of ideas.
-
Oh don't get me wrong, I recognise a lot of what you say about the post Hibs game, so close after Athens it was a really sore one to take looking so vulnerable to them. Derek Rae has described Lutz as a big character and I think that makes for an interesting dynamic with Thelin who is the quiet geek type. It could well be Thelin is having some form of crisis of confidence and who knows? Maybe that is exactly the kind of person above him he needs right now.
-
I honestly wondered if he was trolling us taking them on when he did. The most bizzare thing about it all though is he has a very decent record at changing a game with subs.
-
Fuck, forgot about that. Got back about half 8 so could have caught the second half.
-
I must admit he had yet to impress me in a match so far but given anytime I saw him he was coming back from injury that was understandable. The boys had nae luck since he moved, I believe he had hardly ever been injured in his career prior too.

For the benefit of the abmad refugees (welcome to you all BTW, it's great to see the board a bit busier) I've been pretty vocal in my defence of Thelin this season just so you know. I must admit today he really did annoy me with his lack of subs. It was obvious we were second best in the midfield and they really were passing around us for fun at times. It clearly needed changing up and Clarkson should have been on early in the second half at the very latest. In the past, and particularly when playing 4231, (which we shouldn't be scared to go back to mid game if the 3 isn't working BTW, if anything else it can completely bugger the oppositions game plan) I could usually see what Jimmy was trying to do but today and the second half against Killie I'm really scratching my head at what the game plan was other than hold the line. Sure, the Cyprus trip has tiring effect even if you don't play but that's even more reason to be quick with the changes. It's not like we don't have 5 subs to use these days either or a plethora of attacking options. At least we didn't lose but if we had won it would have been an injustice. Our new DOF should be walking through the door very soon. He's a big character according to Derek Rae and hopefully that can help lift the malaise that seems to be hanging over the club this season.

Lucky git, I bet he's got some tremendous tales to tell!
-
He did great when he first came in but defo went off the ball. I would love to see the club try and get the lad Watson from Killie in to replace him if he does go. He's OOC come the end of the season so could probably get him for a reasonable fee.
-
Stepped down as Accies chairman for health reasons. Sad to hear this. Jock is in my second favourite commentator of all time (pipped at the post by Alastair Alexander) and it sounds like he is probably on his way out.

In fairness Al you were still full of PTSD after the Athens experience Looking forward to this one but despite the recent turnaround I can't help but feel but this is still a massive game for Jimmy but from a more positive POV. A win, especially a convincing or even a solid win, and I think the support will largely draw a line under the shit start to the season and we can all just focus on moving forward rather than should we change the manager. It would also be a very nice to be going into the home game against Hearts post International break with a spring in our step cos I would fucking love to pop the Jambo bubble. Expecting changes due to euro efforts and I would defo be looking to bring Gyamfi in from the start. The little we have seen of him I've been pretty impressed and I think he would cope well with Maswanhise who looks to be the one that makes thinks happen for Motherwell. I would assume Shinnie will be back in but I have to say I thought Aouchiche did not to bad in the centre on Thursday. In A96 Main A96 3-1 dons and I'll go with 3 first goal of the season scorers in Nisbet, Keskinen and Milanovic to make amends for his miss in Cyprus and give it proper big licks.

Welcome to the board folks, great to have my some new members. I never really spent much time on abmad other than the time I went down a Walter Sobchak wyowyn rabbit hole (if you know, you know).
-
Agreed, I thought there was a lot to like about us last night. We are starting to look a solid team and really just need the front line to click a bit better and we should be in the goals imo.
-
Ultimately even if we finish just 35th in this group we will have beaten the odds.
-
Really solid performance, take that all day long. A win against Motherwell at home and that is a corner turned perhaps?
-
My first thought was 343 2bh Al
-
Indeed. Also I don't think it's unfair to say Jensen had his best game on the left hand side against Killie either so I'm happy for him to keep his spot
