Peter Ambrose has today completed a loan move to Hungarian side Diósgyőri VTK (DVTK), subject to international clearance. The 23-year-old Nigerian striker returns to familiar territory in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I for the remainder of the season. Peter previously enjoyed a successful spell in Hungary with Újpest before moving to Pittodrie in the summer of 2024. He has since gone on to make 23 appearances in red, scoring two goals. With opportunities in the first team currently limited, this move is designed to offer him more regular game time. Everyone at AFC wishes Peter all the very best during his time with DVTK.

Speaking of Mats. Menu Dons Account News Ticketing Matches & Teams Fans Commercial Club AberDNA Buy Tickets Shop RedTV Heritage Trust Community Trust Search News News Mats Knoester – Injury Update 03 February 2026 AuthorAFC Media Team Estimated Reading Time: 1 minutes Share this article: Following the completion of a comprehensive set of medical tests we can now provide an update on defender Mats Knoester who sustained a serious injury during the weekend’s match with Kilmarnock. Having suffered traumatic impact on the pitch, Mats was transferred to Crosshouse Hospital for further diagnostics. He has now been discharged and will continue his medical management under the supervision of the club medical staff. Unfortunately, given the nature of the injury it does mean Mats will be unavailable for the short to medium term and an accurate estimate of his return to play will become clear in the coming weeks. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the medical staff at Crosshouse Hospital for their care of Mats and to the staff at Kilmarnock FC who assisted in the immediate aftermath of the injury. We wish Mats a speedy recovery! -
How is it taking the piss?

My reading supporting pal just messaged me "apologies in advance for Tom McIntyre"
-
Message the club, they might let you borrow the Calderwood tombola
-
Not yet

Lutz worked a lot on tv doing co-comms with Derek Rae so will likely have seen some of them 2bf. On the face of it Geiger is a player who should be out of our range, even on loan let alone with an option, if you ask me though.
-
yeah that's about the size of it. what could go worng?
-
Geiger doesn't look like a holding midfielder from the little I've seen. Far more a B2B, in your face cm but time will tell on that. He also hasn't played for 6 months so I'm not exactly xpecting miracles from him straight away. A lot will depend on how fit he has kept himself but he didn't look to be carryin pork in his RTV interview.
-
would seem a good choice for him
-
So we now have Shinnie, Nilsen, Armstrong, Aremu, Geiger, Cameron and Palaversa for the central midfield positions. Suspect the club will be trying to move Palaversa also
-
nailed it
-
Of course but there will defo be pressure to play the record signing regardless of who they get in. One thing for sure is this is a fascinating move. It will all come down to whether the kid sinks or swims ultimately but you would hope he would at least get the opportunity to prove one or the other. Verona are bottom of Serie A but only 4 points off safety, there's real opportunity here for Bowie to make a name for himself.
-
we're signing players without a manager 2bf Jute. I suspect the board would have likely known the manager was getting binned when signing off on the deal though so not overly concerned for his future just yet.
-
I would say thats a great bit of business for Dundee should he stay fit.
-
Regardless of cm places available it does sound like this guy is better than anyone we currently have to play the position. Let's see how he does I guess. Really hoping we see Aouchiche and Palaversa moved on in what's left of the window as they are clearly out of the frame and will be on a sizeable wage.

We're going to fucking batter them 3-0 with a Mitov hattrick! -
One thing I would add that I mentioned in the summer. We should put serious consideration into resigning Bruce Anderson. He's always a complete pain the arse to play against and he's always good for a goal
-
Armstrong and Cameron have shown a couple of nice touches here and there but overall it looks like they are playing in quicksand
-
Well this hasn't gone to plan, indeed it's turned into a bit of a dog's dinner!

I know that. But all the captains and all the players have held, and showed off the replica, too. Eg the cup I held was the same one that was held aloft on the parade.
