  1. An absolute peach of a nonsense banger has emerged from Australia the past few days.
  2. My biggest political regret is voting Labour in 97. I was young and naive. Not that it would have made the slightest bit of difference if I had voted for the snp candidate, Labour were always winning the seat. The most depressing realisation of my political life was around 2002. It came to mind that John Major is easily the best prime minister I've been around to see. It still stands to this day.
  3. The labour party died with John Smith, there's nothing to save.
  4. I'm well known for a being a dandy in my home town. When we won the cup last year I had a lot of messages from people wishing me well which was lovely. I have to say though, at least 50% were celtic fans. In particular my pal Gary's message sticks in my mind. Words to the effect of "I was fucking raging when mitov saved from Johnson until it cut to Aberdeen fans going mental. Instantly thought of you and all the shit you've been through over the years and couldn't not be delighted for you." I must admit I was very touched to get that message.
  5. It's frustrating but it is what it is. With the Motherwell game postponed this would be a great time to announce.
  6. Nope, I feel exactly the same 2bh
  7. To each their own but I honestly couldn't give a toss. Not getting your no1 target happens all the time in football but given the recency of this guys departure from St Ettiene and how quickly the club seem to have moved would suggest he became the no1 target the moment he became available.
  8. His style of play sounds very well suited to the Scottish game was my big take from what I've read about him.
  9. I just assumed it was about Miovski getting a game
  10. Saw one guy on twitter claiming sky sports were showing an ai edited video of the ball not bouncing. Can you imagine the seethe if we win it when it's finally played?
  11. I've heard some bonkers football rumours in my time but this really does take the biscuit.

Very sad to hear about JV. One of the all time great commentators
  13. He's from norn Ireland so defo not from the EU
  14. Ain't Robinson then if that's true....
  15. Peter Ambrose has today completed a loan move to Hungarian side Diósgyőri VTK (DVTK), subject to international clearance. The 23-year-old Nigerian striker returns to familiar territory in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I for the remainder of the season. Peter previously enjoyed a successful spell in Hungary with Újpest before moving to Pittodrie in the summer of 2024. He has since gone on to make 23 appearances in red, scoring two goals. With opportunities in the first team currently limited, this move is designed to offer him more regular game time. Everyone at AFC wishes Peter all the very best during his time with DVTK.
  16. Speaking of Mats. Menu Dons Account News Ticketing Matches & Teams Fans Commercial Club AberDNA Buy Tickets Shop RedTV Heritage Trust Community Trust Search News News Mats Knoester – Injury Update 03 February 2026 AuthorAFC Media Team Estimated Reading Time: 1 minutes Share this article: Following the completion of a comprehensive set of medical tests we can now provide an update on defender Mats Knoester who sustained a serious injury during the weekend’s match with Kilmarnock. Having suffered traumatic impact on the pitch, Mats was transferred to Crosshouse Hospital for further diagnostics. He has now been discharged and will continue his medical management under the supervision of the club medical staff. Unfortunately, given the nature of the injury it does mean Mats will be unavailable for the short to medium term and an accurate estimate of his return to play will become clear in the coming weeks. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the medical staff at Crosshouse Hospital for their care of Mats and to the staff at Kilmarnock FC who assisted in the immediate aftermath of the injury. We wish Mats a speedy recovery!
  17. How is it taking the piss?
  18. My reading supporting pal just messaged me "apologies in advance for Tom McIntyre"
  19. Message the club, they might let you borrow the Calderwood tombola
  20. Lutz worked a lot on tv doing co-comms with Derek Rae so will likely have seen some of them 2bf. On the face of it Geiger is a player who should be out of our range, even on loan let alone with an option, if you ask me though.
  21. yeah that's about the size of it. what could go worng?
  22. Geiger doesn't look like a holding midfielder from the little I've seen. Far more a B2B, in your face cm but time will tell on that. He also hasn't played for 6 months so I'm not exactly xpecting miracles from him straight away. A lot will depend on how fit he has kept himself but he didn't look to be carryin pork in his RTV interview.
