  1. We'll agree to disagree then, I think he could have handled it but it doesn't matter now anyway. Will defo keep tabs on Dante though.
  2. I would have loved to see Polvara get a decent shot as a no 10. He's good at playing with his back to goal and I think he could have thrived there.
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cq5y7pj3104o Quite the story this and he look's pretty handy from the little I've seen of him. Eligible for Scotland too........ He couldn't....... could he? I think there is at least one CF position up for grabs and if he has a strong second half of the season he could potentially put himself in the mix. Especially if Falkirk go deep in the cup and he's scored goals to get them there. Good size to him too, at least 6'2
  4. We were all Dante Polvara in this moment
  5. "The Club is aware of an allegation that racist language was used during today’s match with Livingston FC at Pittodrie. The player concerned has been informed of the allegation and vehemently denies it. Aberdeen FC condemns any and all forms of discrimination and we will co-operate fully with all relevant authorities during any investigation. While this process is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further." Firstly, Fucks sake. Raging this is the first thing I've got to talk about after that. At the very least what we can take from the club statement is that a player has been named. Milne is the obvious contender but it could also be Shinnie as he was wrestling with him for a bit. I find this hard to believe from anyone in our squad though, we've had plenty of black players in our squad and if we genuinely had a racist in our ranks you would think it would already have shown itself in training. Im sure we are now going to see some more forensic analysis of the footage in the next day or two so maybe some more information will come from that. Live I had a reasonable view from the main but only noticed it once they were raising their hands and it was chaos within a few seconds so it really could be anyone involved in that stramash. The previous form that Slim linked to is interesting, it does certainly raise the possibility in my mind that he's trying to cover for the fact he got sent off minutes into his debut though Onto the game. Obviously, plenty of positives to talk about but the caveat of it being livi has to be taken into account. Frame looked great going forward though, scratching my head as to why he wasn't at least given some sub minutes when Gyamfi was out for ages. No comment on his defensive capabilities yet as he wasn't particulary tested but he looks a real prospect. I had a perfect view in for his cross for Nisbet and it was glorious. When was the last time we had a LB with a genuinely sweet left foot? Great to see Topi play his best game in red by a mile, for once "like a new signing" is actually apt. I thought he looked really in sync with the rest of the team for the first time and I think he needs that as a player. I've always said there's a player in there but it's decision making that lets him down. Today he wasn't really making decisions and just playing on instinct to my eye and it really worked for him I thought. Long may that continue because if this is going to be a thing he's going to have a great second half of the season. The thing I loved most about today was the taking the game by the scruff of the neck in that inury time in the first half. Excellent attitude despite the offside goal being disallowed (and that 4 minute var stop was infuriating. completely stole our momentum) and the special needs defending that led to the two goals. Also noticed Leven telling them there was still time for a 3rd. We could look back on this game as the turning point in our season. The ref was as bad as i've seen since McCurry retired.
  6. what's the story here?
  7. There's still half a season left, no that late.
  8. It takes as long as it takes, Leven is clearly a safe pair of hands so I don't see the rush 2bh
  9. Back in training by march, fully fit for the world cup.
  10. I had a while back heard it was closer to 15 we were paying him but that is unconfirmed. And 2bh I wouldn't like it to be
  11. Its like they dug out Calderwoods tombola.
  12. Imagine he did but turned it down to play for Scotland, that would be one way to end the should he get a call up debate. He would be a national hero
  13. Really looking forward to this one...... but not because of the game. Got a new car last week and driving the a96 from Inverness is going to be loads more fun now than it was with the 1.2ltr 17yo polo I've been getting through with all season. Could take or leave the game 2bh but I may as well go I know Livi's results have been shit but from what I've seen their performances have been competive and they have defo been shafted by VAR a few times. I expect a tough game but I do wonder if Karlsson going is going to be good for morale as he must have been frustrating to play with. 3-1 dons, nisbet hatrick
  14. Re Karlsson, man I remember being over the moon with his signing and really thought he would knock it out of the park. No questioning the talent but he clearly thought he was too cool for school and here we are, glad to have him off the wage bill.
  15. Gary Macdonald was so disinterested he was invisible.
  16. My gut feeling at the moment is it's going to be someone we've not heard of yet.
  17. If true this is fairly depressing
  18. I think there might be something to Mcglynn 2bf but not Robinson. I actually quite like Robinson, I think he usually speaks well and he's certainly a good manager at this level. His players clearly love playing for him and it's fair to say he's managed to get a tune out of players we couldn't in Phillips and Richardson, Phillips in particular. Right now though he doesn't seem a good fit for me because it would be the first time he would be taking a team that was expected to win most of it's games. He's never done that before, nor have any managers in the Cormack era come to think of it. Even Thelin came from a club that was regarded as punching. Mcglynn on the other hand has done that in league one with aplomb and then taken that team to dominate the league above which is notoriously cuthroat the very next season. The more I think about Mcglynn getting the job the more I warm to it 2bh.
  19. Fingers crossed it's a few months to recover and he's just coming back to his best form as the season ends and he's nice and fresh for the world cup.
  20. This is my feeling too. Lutz is a complete unknown quantity and has clearly given the press absolutely hee haw. If were to offer odds I would give evens on it ending up being a candidate that hasn't even been mentioned anywhere relation to the job.
  21. My first thought when i heard the rumour was he could be good for Nisbet. My aging memory says he was quick, grafted his ass off and was generally a pain in the arse to play against everyone in the league. We all know there is a proper no 9 in Nisbet and Olusanya is the kind of player who could potentially create the space and opportunity he needs. I would be at peace with signing him 2bh (sorry Al)
  22. And no offence to you old friend but you are far too much of an addict to ever give it up and you know it . You saying this is like Jute saying he's not going to go to a game we all know he's going to but he's just not admitted it to himself yet.
  23. I thought Olusanye looked pretty handy at St mirren fwiw
  24. This pleases me. I have no beef with Cameron whatsoever and he will get my full support whilst in a red jersey despite hating the deal that brought him. I would have more time for the loan system if there was no restriction on the player playing against their parent club.
  25. My only issue with Porteous has been his poor disciplinary record, at this level though he's a very good CB and whilst it a big contributor to his poor disciplinary record I do love a nasty bastard centre half.
