  1. He does only have a year left on his deal. Same with polvara. We could defo do with extending these two pronto
  2. Southampton and Leeds allegedly looking at Duk
  3. Polvara defo starting to look like a shrewd bit of business by glass
  4. No they are not. We were in the black before we sold Rama and Mcrorie according to cormack and we have 6 million give or take to come in from euro group stage football. Teclic was defo going to be a 7 figure sum as well I might add. In short we have some money to play with and will to spend it.
  5. Robson says 3 or 4, I really hope it's 4 because we are defo going to need the cover. Depressingly there are still 17 days of the window left and we haven't even hit the playing chicken part of it yet. It's frustrating as hell but we have to not only be patient but accept it's a very real possibility that we don't see a lot of movement until the window is about to close. The result in the first leg of the euro qualifier could have some effect on our business as well perhaps. On the flip side though we are able now to operate in a market of a standard higher than any we have operated in probably since the early 90's. Add to that the club does seem to be showing cause to have a little faith in their transfer acumen. I've not seen enough/any of sokler, mcgarry and Williams but I like what I see of Devlin and rubezic. Shinnie, Clarkson and MacDonald speak for themselves. All things considered, especially given the calibre of player we can actually go for at this moment, this could yet be our best window since the transfer window became a thing.
  6. I'm feeling alright about it, celtic weren't exactly convincing at the weekend. Our defence looked far more capable against livi than theirs did conceding 2 and plenty more chances to county. We will also have a lot more space to play with against them and I expect us to cause them problems. If we scored first I think they would be a lot more unsettled by it than they would have been last season. Score draw or a dons win.
  7. I think fergie would want to go the route that give him the biggest transfer budget the next season. That's why a part of me would prefer the conference, we have a much better chance of winning games and getting out of the group. "For the 2022–23 season, group stage participation in the Europa Conference League is awarded a base fee of €2,940,000. A victory in the group pays €500,000 and a draw €166,000. Also, each group winner earns €650,000 and each runner-up €325,000. Reaching the knock-out stage triggers additional bonuses: €300,000 for the round of 32, €600,000 for the round of 16, €1,000,000 for the quarter-finals and €2,000,000 for the semi-finals. The losing finalists receive €3,000,000 and the champions receive €5,000,000." I'm not disputing that it would be nice to get some glamour ties but I'm more interested in taking in as much money as we can and using that to make sure we get third again minimum. Do that a few seasons on the bounce and we could then be looking at splitting the gruesome twosome as a realistic aim whilst creating a gap between ourselves and the Edinburgh sides. If we can split them we have a shot at CL and I think that is what out long term goal should be.
  8. Well we have as good a chance to go through as we are going to get. A solid result in the first leg could have an effect on our transfers as well because playing Europa league instead of conference may be enough to convince a player to join us. That said there's a part of me that would prefer to go to the conference league purely on the grounds I think it would be more fun.
  9. I'm just not convinced Mackenzie will ever be better than average. Put it this way, if he wasnt left footed he probably would have been released by now.
  10. If we score early I would fancy us to win quite comfortably. If we don't it could be a real slog, livi away is rarely an easy game and we are going in with an untried defence. No idea how we will line up, fascinated to see what it's going to be.
  11. Apologies for the source but Johnny Hayes massively talking up polvara in the record here panda. Sounds like he's going to get game time whether rama stays or goes 2bh. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/jonny-hayes-sees-aberdeen-fc-30589151?fbclid=IwAR1uzaE2Af6yLEiqPNj-MawYSFPm2aNbCPToUq-JPwvms_1cB3-ciXe4ap0 If Rama is to go he goes with my best wishes. He wouldn't be impossible to replace but he won't be that easy either. He's a very solid player at this level and seemed a good influence on the squad in general. My preference would be to keep him because we have more than enough of a turnover of squad this window as it is.
  12. https://www.afc.co.uk/2023/07/31/rubezic-is-a-red/ Done deal
  13. The physio table needs solid leadership 2bf.
  14. We defo need to add a wee bit more depth but it's worth remembering we aren't even half way through the window.
  15. Good luck to him, I'll always remember Connor fondly for his goal at fucking mordor to clinch it.
  16. I know the huns aren't gonna give us that, they have already sold the seats. Regardless though why the fuck should we give them near ten percent of our stadium when they give us less than two of theirs? I've seen the usual online about the money you get from selling out an away end to the ugly sisters. Fair point but it doesn't take into account their away support is a fucking nightmare to police. Any loss of ticket revenue would likely be more than compensated by the greatly reduced policing costs and the extra sales to home fans. All that said it would be worth doing for the seethe from the cunts alone. It would be fucking glorious!
  17. "Whilst we hope the changes above will help continue the upwards trajectory of our home attendances and drive-up revenues, it is also our intention to hold discussions with some of our SPFL Premiership colleagues about reciprocal allocations in hope of a fair and equitable number for our brilliant away supporters. The outcome of that will play one part in the away allocations we set at Pittodrie going forward" I've been saying this for years! Hope we ram this right down the huns throat. The tribute act give away 900 seats to away fans gibe or take, that works out at about 1.7% of the ground. I would love to us give them the same (355 seats) when they come to us.
  18. Chris Bart Williams on the same day. He did very well at Wednesday when Francis was manager
  19. Had a feeling this one wasn't going to happen
  20. Goodwin could be binned before the league even commences.
  21. I think we can all but write off scales coming back if this happens
  22. Nah, they would need to realise that was the case to do so and that's involves being able to count. I'll be kind and say that's not exactly a hunnish trait.
