That is a very good point.

I echo a lot of the words already spoken in that I'm really sad this is how it has turned out. From that POV it certainly helps that his last game was a narrow defeat (however limp dicked the performance was) away to Falkirk and not a papping off der hun at mordor 2bf. If there's any truth in rumours and he ends up at AIK that's a bonus as we likely will have had to pay minimum compensation, if any. So, moving forward, this is the first big test for LP. It will be interesting to see just how much free reign he gets with the new manager position given how hands on Cormack likes to be. My hope is though that fabled black book of his provides some candidates that none of us have heard of at the very least.

This has been fucking grim.

It's Nilsen on
-
No idea what to expect from this but if we play like we did in the first half against Hibs I think Falkirk would struggle to live with that. If we play like we did first half against Hibs and stop faffing about in the final 3rd we might actually score.
-
Could you elaborate on this?
-
To each their own but there was times I thought they moved the ball very well against us. You're right that it's a huge step up though and would be a huge gamble. Rosenior (who I did find very impressive when he spoke and not just because he blew a shit ton of smoke up the dons arse) probably needs a successful stint at a club of say Fiorentina's sort of size and stature before he's going to be ready for a club the size of Chelsea.

Happy new year all. Thanks to you for making this the best dons page on the Internet.

Don't understand why KK was taken off 2bh, hibs have taken complete control of the midfield since. Most annoyingly the goal came straight from faffing about on the edge of their box instead of crossing it.
-
Very solid first half I would say. Wishwee would stop faffing about so much when we get forward. KK is doing great, same with Gyamfi.

The curious case of the height of Kjartan Kjartanssen!
-
There's no danger he's the same size as my GF is all I'm saying. Wrong thread?

As rats normally do
-
According to wiki Connor Barron is 5ft 9 and he's defo not bigger than KK
-
He's defo a bit stockier I would say, slightly taller maybe too. He's only 18 though, come 21 he's probably going to have increased his mass a bit given the role he plays.

Get in.

Unbelievable, we have been all over them.

Scottish Cup final: Aberdeen v Celtic - 24/05
tlg1903 replied to Panda's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Seeing us win the Scottish Cup was a bucket list item for me. As is going to a world cup to see Scotland play. Waited 35 years for a Scottish cup and 27 for a World Cup and now they have both come along within 6 months of each other. 2025 has had some crazy ups and downs football wise -
And they have both impressed in short order. Loved the way he fought for it but the weight on the ball from KMK for Belalovic was (chefs kiss) and probably the best pass of the entire match. And he'd just come on, making his debut at San Giro. Got high hopes for that kid I've got to say.

I can see why it's feasible but I'm just not convinced Cormack would want a manager that isn't committed. My guess/hope if there is anything to this? After Athens Thelin has said words to the effect of 'if you want me to go I would rather resign than be fired'. Not exactly offering to quit but letting it be known he won't stay if he's not wanted. It's not unreasonable to speculate that could Chinese whispers within the club that he offered to quit 2bf. Regardless, this is water under the bridge now you would think with the rise in the table and the arrival of Lutz. Going forward it's a big 40 odd days for Thelin with run of tricky, but winnable, and equally loseable, fixtures going into the new year. Assuming we get through that relatively successfully then he really needs a strong window. Personally, I would say he only needs 3 starting capable players in the door to transform the team. The arrival of the contacts book of LP gives me hope that could happen. The right outs will be just as important as well given we stocked up for a 4231 but have ended up with a back 3. I think it's worth mentioning that it was about this sort of stage in Thelins Elfsborg career that they started to click and put together results. Swedish journalists told us you need to give Thelin 2 years before you really see what one of his teams is all about so it would make sense that the second half of this season will see the most improvement in the team if that stands. "Can history repeat itself?" is the question that we are about to find out in the next few months basically.

Yeah that's probably between 12-15k a week
