  1. Truth be told Kow i didnt think mulgrew was the worst of our performers by a long shot tonight. For me i would have to say either mair or probably severin, the man did absolutely nothing tonight. Hell there was a 15 minute spell when i didnt even hear the commentator say his name. For someone that is supposed to be captain? Unforgivable
  2. Dunfermline were pretty good i thought, clearly picked up that we didnt have a clue what we were doing and turned it to their advantage. Should have scored from the free header in the first half too. So who to replace JC then if he does go? I would be happy with any off the following three Jim Jeffries Mark McGhee Eric Black
  3. Spineless and clueless. Thats what we were tonight. Absolutely disgusted. I think tonights result will turn a lot of people who were on the fence to the JMG camp and quite frankly who can blame them. Dont think he will go, would cost too much money to sack him, but pressure is on calderwood big time now. Even if he won every remaining game left this season i doubt many fans would forgive tonight.
  4. Greg shields is out, his dad died. Condolances obviously but good for us
  5. its a good sight, i watchy loads of champions league, spanish, epl ect on it
  6. if you cant make the pub or the match http://www.footballstreaming.info/streams/todays-links/
  7. Thats fucking right i totally forgot about that. "in the spirit of celebrating our dutch links" they said at the time. Cunts. Nothing to do with the shit load of money the creamed in off bigotry with it. I was totally steaming by the time the game kicked off and i think i must have blocked out quite a few memories of the day. Probably not a bad thing The only time i have seen aberdeen in a competitive fixture where it was terracing was at brockville the 1st season we nearly went down, actually must have been may 95 cos aitken had recently taken over. Cant imagine it was anywhere near as steep as hampden was back in the day but remember it was a bit of a nightmare trying to find folk after the goals.
  8. Maybe but it was still bouncing though, that was the game where i really fell in love with football. I'd often looked at football matches when fans had just been going nuts and thought "aye steady boys it wasnt that good a goal" but that day i finally got it. Sounds like you went to quite a few games before it was re-developed though, what was it like when it was really full? With regards to the cup final in 2000 i stopped taking that seriously when had to play a striker in goals. It was just to rediculous for words and i really didnt see the point in getting annoyed when fate had dealt such a fatal blow so early. Thems the breaks as they say.
  9. Massively!!! couldn't believe how fucked it was when i saw the highlights on telly last night. Shouldn't be allowed, spl should focre them to lay a new pitch.
  10. Dunno like, booth was injured an awfull lot when paterson was in charge and he made his mind up not to offer booth a new contract. Booth was technically still an aberdeen player when JC took over but since he didnt get new deal can only assume JC agreed with paterson.
  11. I think that plays into our hands a wee bit. Teams will open up against us a little more away which given the defences of minkerwell and hibs is no bad thing from our point of view. Hopefully mcdonald will be back and seve can move back to defence leaving us more solid at the back
  12. Absolute nonsense. i've been to quite a few games at hampden where its been proper bouncing cup semi in 95 where we beat the huns 2-1 cup final where we lost 4-0 and people were doing the conga. quite a few qualifiers where the atmosphere was buzzing like scotland v france, ukraine, italy twice, netherlands. You get a big enough game there its a brilliant stadium. If i remember rightly (and apologies if im wrong) you are a quite passionate hater of the tartan army so its of little surprise to me that you havn't been to any/many games where there's been a decent atmosphere........ afc havn't been there very often since it was re-developed. I never went to hampden before it was seated and can only feel jealousy if you have. I'm certainly not going to argue that its better now, Terracing needs to come back imo
  13. Aye bet you get weapon heartburn after a few of those
  14. I think we'll get 8 points, maybe 10 from the last 4 games. Motherwell away will be the crucial game though ict at home has all the makings of a cunt of a game. Really hope mcdonald is back soon
  15. My thoughts after seeing the highlights are that wright had a decent shout for a penalty, smith looks like he hasnt been rushed back and is already nearing full match fitness, Aluko could be a weapon player if he has a wee look around from time to time, bebo scored a peach and looked very lively throughout. This is all based on 3 1/2 mins of highlights, i wasnt at the game Good win though, regardless if it was boring.
  16. try this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/7945180.stm
  17. thought he said it was from 35 yrds, i m pretty hungover so could easily be mistaken
  18. Honestly who is going to spend money on ricky forster harcus? On the flip side 35 yarder from bebo, nice!!!
  19. That would involve someone being stupid enough to pay money for him.
  20. Sounded like we scored then sat back and let them attack us. Raging, why did we not go for the jugular?
  21. st mirren 1 celtic 0. a point there isnt looking so bad now
  22. I've tried to look it up but got drivel when i googled it and afc website only goes back to 2001. Im not going on the hun website
  23. Padre you crack me up
  24. Did dodds not score one in a 2-2 draw there?
  25. I think its pretty clear that our drop in form is in direct correlation to mcdonald getting injured but even more so since seve has been moved into midfield to cover. In recent games the defence has been all over the place and i reckon its cos seve isnt there to run it. If you look at all fergie's great centre back pairings there has been a brains and a brawn. Eg Miller told mcleish who to go in hard on and mcleish then went and nailed him. It was the same with bruce and pallister and now ferdinand and vidic. Lee Mair is not enough of a leader on the park to play the miller role and zander is clearly the mcleish. We need to get seve back in the defence.
