  1. Anyone else starting to get really nervous about tonight? ON THE DONS!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Nice I thought a few years ago it would be pretty cool to make up some retro tee shirts with old school players on it. EG a picture of rico with the slogan like "you shall not pass" under it
  3. That was the first game of football i actually made the effort to sit down and watch. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring up till the penalty shoot out
  4. Delighted, had the toon on my coupon.
  5. He cant tackle jinky mcjinky wingers, he's to big and cumbersome. Up against central midfielders would be a different story, he would be able to use his size to his advantage
  6. If we finish in a european place its on merit. Thats the way leagues work. It will not change the fact that we have been pretty stinking this season and to still be in with a shout for the euro places, can even be argued quite well placed given the fxtures, shows that its not only aberdeen that have been poor
  7. I've said for a while i think mulgrew is better suited to a central midfield position, think duff is better in the middle too. Of the two i would have mulgrew though and stick pawlett in. Langfield Vidal Mair Severin Foster Pawlett McDonald Mulgrew Aluko Miller Maguire Lot of pace in that side
  8. I think we will get a draw, 1-1
  9. Wouldnt have an issue as long as i get to take 20 pounds of said jutie bastard. We will both be at a wedding last day of the season (tho boy getting married is a dandy) and it would be AMAZING to take it off him there!
  10. Hmmnn yeah your right, i had it in my head they were mathmatically still in it. In an ideal world for me we get europe at utd's expense so i dont have to pay my jutie bastard mate 20 notes for them finishing above us
  11. I really liked mackies against ICT, good team move with a really nonchalent classy finish
  12. I cant help but get the sneaky feeling that for a 3rd season in a row we will fuck up the huns title bid. even holding them to a draw could do it and be a massive point for us
  13. It really is turning out to be a very interesting scenario. I must confess i am very surprised we are still in the hunt for europe let alon 3rd place but as the time old classic goes it is indeed a funny old game. I never want aberdeen to lose but there has been that tiny part inside me over the past few months that has been sharpening the knives with a wee bit of glee in anticipation of a complete capitulation under calderwood. The thing is though if we did finish 3rd it will be on merit, you dont fluke league positions, it would be because we are the 3rd best team in scotland for season 08/09. Regardless of cup capitulations every single one of us would have snapped the hand off anyone offering this at the start of the season. In short i dont have a bloody clue how i would feel about calderwood if he managed it. I have said many times that i have looked past his many shortcomings as he had got results............ 3rd place after the season we have had would be a massive result. My brain is starting to hurt
  14. I dunno why but today i have fresh optimism. I think its going to be a cup tie of a game and we are really going to go at them. Therefore i would like to revise my prediction and say 2-1 aberdeen On the Dons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I think it is ridiculous people are talking conspiracy theories when abidal got sent off for hee haw.
  16. I stand corrected, i honestly thought barca won it last year
  17. There is no two ways about it that was a result for football. Best bit is the champions league is actually getting a final between two champions
  18. In recent games foster has been playing really well at rb and is there on merit. I've not seen vidal at rb but it sounded like he was useless on the radio. All in im not really bothered if he doesnt come back
  19. It means that graeme poll is a fudd simples
  20. I know what you mean but he has had quite a good season and kenneth (who i rate quite highly) seems to play better alongside him. I'm not going to complain if he's not in the team tommorow
  21. You have to take your hat off to man utd tonight. The first five minutes was real back to the wall stuff and to go up the other end and score 2 goals so quickly (regardless of mistakes) was truly the mark of champions. The third goal was a delight to watch, textbook counter attack. Alas though you cant help but be gutted for fletcher, i truly thought he was the best player on the park tonight. The guy was everywhere making tackles and linking up play, it was wee bit reminiscant of keane against juventus in the 99 semi final and he also missed the final of course. The post match interviews are on the beeb website and worth watching, i was actually impressed with wenger for once as he showed some humilty. Fergie says that the ref has the option to put down in his report that he made a mistake and that there might be a loophole for fletcher, we can but hope. He's had the season of his life and changed all but the most retarded gloryhunting man u fans mind about him and if any player in that squad deserves the chance to play in that final its him. Lets hope for footballs sake barca do the business tommorow
  22. And dnipro away was about as good as a keeper can play. I really cant understand your beef with langfield, in my eyes he's a serious contender for afc player of the season. So what he had a bust up with calderwood when steaming, if i had a boss that talked as much pish as JC does i would avoid him like the plague if i was drinking otherwise he would be getting a piece of my mind. Really wasnt very much to forgive there if you ask me.
  23. I totally agree that we are more than capable of going there and winning and if there was ever a point in the season where the players need to take a wee look in the mirror and have a word with themselves its thursday. The only thing i would disagree with is that utd are over rated, i think they are a good team with a very good manager.
  24. There is no danger that man utd are going there to sit in. ferguson is expecting arsenal to try and go toe to toe with them as opposed to hitting utd on the counter as they tried at old trafford but this is not the arsenal side of five years ago that was accomplished at dominating games from midfield. Fabregas is great player but he is not of the same stature as viera who was the key to so many of arsenals wins back then and i've yet to be convinced by denilson alongside him. Utd have so many more options in every department that i just cant see past them tonight
