  1. jings was so long ago now i couldnt tell you. Even if it was though there clearly wasnt anywhere near enough research done as to the suitability.
  2. Remember the shambles that was the egypt pre season tour
  3. Yep thems the breaks as they say.
  4. He had my backing providing he got results, this was the only thing that could distract me from his talking pish in the press, sucking up to the old firm, tactical ineptitude, constantly playing players out of position, terrible youth record and APPALLING football on the park. Calderwood came into a club in turmoil and admirably steadied the ship. There have been times when I have been delighted with him but with sickening inevitability this has faded time and time again. My point is he’s not been all bad. Cup results though are important to us and clearly this is where the club needs to develop. JC has proven he is incapable of this in spectacular fashion, beaten on penalties by 3rd division part timers, conceded 4 goals to a mid table 1st division side and then failed to beat another 1st division side over 210 minutes of football who had lost its last 4 games. Throw into that the total capitulation to utd in the league cup semi and the same result to a very average Kilmarnock side and you have the straw’s that broke the camels back. Cup shocks happen in football but for 3 seasons in a row? Thats unarguable incompetence especially when you think of the lost euro revenue that a cup final place would have earned us last season. On these grounds i want him gone. I want eric black to replace him and no i dont care about his lack of managerial experience. The couple of jobs he's had have sufficiently impressed me. He's cultured, thinks before he speaks, knows the scottish game and most importantly knows the club. I know peopel dont necessarily agree with this but i feel it in my bones he is the right man for the job and i trust my instincts.
  5. Thats a good call to be fair though i can never see it happening given the reputation the beach end has

Brilliant! Cant stand the little fucker
  7. Been years since i was in there, you get a pretty decent view to be fair.
  8. Stuuf like this just makes me think of the graham spiers article where he says
  9. i dont really care how it happens i just want him gone, not going to apologise for this.
  10. Bet he doesnt even make the bench on saturday
  11. Its unarguable incompetance. end off. I never want to see aberdeen lose but if come the end of the season a shit run of results forces the board to act then it wouldnt be the end of the world. My fear is that we get into europe and it saves JC's skin for another season.
  12. Shit hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Thats an excellent article, definetely captures the mood. The club will try to soldier on but if we go on a stinking run from now till the end of the season i could see the board sluggishly waking up enough to give him his jotters.
  14. Clearly written by someone that hasnt actually watched aberdeen play. Interesting statistic though, "in fact it has been 219 games and he has won 42% of them and drawn 26%" Declines to mention that hes has lost 32% of games. I feel a good guide to if a manger has been succesfull is if there at least twice as many wins than draws and same again draws to losses. Losing more than you draw is a very bad sign in my eyes
  15. Furries headlining on saturday
  16. Yep i completely agree with all you say there chuck. I've met a few rangers fans in my life that have been decent, unbigotted, friendly and kind. Each time i have asked them why they support bloody rangers and its always been a family thing. They've been brought up to be huns and once they started to comprehend what was going on they were in to deep to start supporting someone else.
  17. Has he actually fucked off on holiday?
  18. Doesnt it work that if you get a straight res that its an automatic one match ban then the sfa can add more?
  19. super furries inaugural trams
  20. Blah blah blah. It really is just the same shit different day with calderwood.
  21. theres no guarantee of short term success end off! my point is this, if JC is going to be axed (and of this there is no certainty by any stretch of the imagination) why wait till the end of the season? if we got a new man in now we might get a euro spot. Im quite prepared to go out on a limb and say that if we keep jc till the end of the season we have no chance of getting into europe.
  22. Way i see it boba is that if we got a new man in now theres a very good chance you would get the classic honeymoon period of 5-6 games where the players are lifted by having a new manager. Everyone's got a clean sheet and opportunity to impress but also the sudden fear that they could be seen to be surplus to requirements especially when the season is nearly over and a transfer window looms. rather than a the air of gloom that is hanging over the dressing room there would be a motivated and focused squad. Furthermore the new man would have till the end of the season to fully assess the squad, and in some very important games. This would be much more constructive then trying to work out who to keep and who to ditch from a few pre-season friendly's against inferior opposition. If calderwood is going to go then i think its worthwhile to take the risk and do it now. Its not like recent performances could get much worse
  23. Its articles like that that actually restore a little faith in football journalists. Its certainly a far cry to the bile that the likes bill leckie or charlie allen regularily spout. Anyone used to watch monday night live? I used to love it, especially when speirs was on with some muppet like gerry mcnee and watch him tear said muppet a new one.
