  1. The only way we could afford stuart would be if we made a big sale.
  2. I was pretty impressed by stockley from what i saw from the extended highlights. He's clearly not just a big lump, he took up great positions and seemed very game aware. He did seem to tire toward the end so hopefully there's better to come with more gametime. I think he's going to be a canny signing, someone that can dominate a centre half in the air is an option we have lacked for quite a while. With the quality of delivery coming from the flanks these days I can see him winning a lot of headers in the box and that's never a bad thing is it. If given the opportunity he could form quite the partnership with Rooney perhaps.
  3. I have a feeling Portugal will have them

    Brexit Vote

Aye murdoch must have film of the pair of them fucking pigs or something. Also hope Corbyn holds firm, this has clearly been on the cards since his appointment.
  5. Defensive mid by the sounds of it, according to wiki he's 6ft 2 so that's encouraging
  6. The number of kids playing football now in America combined with the way Americans really get sports and know how to develop youth suggest to me that it's only a matter of time before the states starts producing world class players.
  7. Really? I'm very concerned about the defence for next season if that's the case.
  8. What, ever? Can anyone confirm or repute this? It was fucked up Manc. I was pleased to not notice any hassle at the germany poland game, that had powderkeg written all over it!
  9. Is that the first Aberdeen player to score at a finals since strachan in 86? Edit. Strachan wasn't even an don then.
  10. I don't think there was any kind of formal approach but I could be wrong ED. Thanks manc, I also called for signing Shinnie for the better part of two years and that worked out quite well too. Wasn't advocating a move for Draper, he's just not good enough imo, only included him as he is the cm at Inverness that fits what the mould. Irvine's contract can't be worth more than 100k at a push so 200kish would probably land him.
  11. Mcginniesta scores for ni. On yourself son
  12. Tansey is a reasonably talented playmaker not a midfield enforcer. Draper would fit the mould a bit better but he's not a very good passer. Said it before and I'll say it again, Jackson Irvine from county would be ideal and very possibly affordable. He's only got a year left on his deal after all.
  13. It's been quite a good tournament so far. Italy looked pretty handy I thought, could go far.
  14. My flutter today has been a treble of ht draw, ft Spain. Sweden and belgium v Italy to be a draw
  15. I did enjoy shouting Dasvidanya at the couple of england fans leaving the pub when Russia equalised.
  16. Even if we were in the market for another striker I would say he's more hassle than he's worth.
  17. Probably some decent coin to be made by their clubs with the new tv deals.
  18. Addition of the under 20's is an interesting move.

    Brexit Vote

Scariest thing about a brexit vote would be boris being a stick on to be PM. I can't stand Cameron and Osborne but he would be even worse. Voting remain and hoping the majority of Scotland does. Won't be overly pissed off if it is brexit despite that though as it significantly improves the case for independence which remains my no1 political goal.
  21. As I said earlier if we got one and a half mill I think we would have done as well as we can realistically hope for. I'm very confident if a 500k offer came in it would be treated with derision given how long he is under contact for. We don't need to sell but we could be forced to.
  22. I don't think you understand how transfers work. Base figure is always the value of the remainder of contract which is where the 500k figure is coming from. As i understand it there has been no official approach so how can milne tell them to fuck off? Given his age you would never get anything close to 3 mill for him, 2 would be a miracle. As I said above given his age and value of his contract 1.25 mill would be good business, 1.5 excellent business.
  23. could have been a decent signing but not going to cry myself to sleep if it doesn't happen. re hayes. 500k i would guess is the ball park of the remainder of his contract. We are in no need of selling now we are debt free so the minimum I would let him go for is £1.25 mill. £1.5 would be excellent business despite his key player status but that might be a little too much. If they come in with good money and are offering to at least treble his wage (I would guess he's on about 4-5k with us, 15 k is not hardly breaking the bank for a championship side) he's could be pretty pissed if we turn it down. I would be gutted to see him go, i wanted us to sign him the first time i saw him play, but if there is one player in our squad that deserves a lucrative move it's Hayes and I wouldn't resent him for taking it. There would be no reason for that money not to be re-invested in the squad either and we could maybe get greg stewart to replace him for half the amount. In short don't want to see him leave but for the right money I would be at peace with it. Lets face it, every club in scotland is a selling club.
  24. Not fussed about Sammon in the slightest.
