I've seen some awful decisions during my sixty odd years of supporting AFC but this is without doubt one of the worst ever. Are the board really that fucking thick Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Damn I must have slept a long time if it’s April 1. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago It makes cormack mentioning Sandro Schwartz completely ridiculous now. Quote
Mason89 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago The prawcess has been thrown out the window. It reeks of desperation. Also, the penguin snatcher will have had fuck all to do with this, so what’s the point in him? This might give St. Mirren a boost as well. Quote
The.Moog Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Hahahaha So two months scouring the globe and using Lutz “extensive global network” (not my words) and we end up with Stephen fuckin Robinson. A guy who’s style of play is completely unsuited to our squad & the “style” we’re supposed to want to play, and who’s got St Mirren currently nearer relegation than us. I know we’re desperate but fuck me. Can only assume Askou telt them to fuck off as no way they’d go Robinson first fae Scottish managers. I get we’re desperate, but this is THE dictionary definition of a panic move. Goodwin 2.0. Pretty sure we’ll be looking for yet another manager by next summer. I guess ST’s and DNA aren’t the priority these days as they are gonna take a big hit. What a shambles… Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago This will be the most unpopular hiring in club history. I’d argue this could help get us relegated as I can see fans staying away with this turn of events. Quote

Fuck the buds by hiring their manager, avoid relegation as the key short term goal, sack Robinson in June & go get Pep 2.0 from Lutz global network I mean it must be that….. right? Or perhaps we’re run by a shower of desperate, clueless fuds. I’ll leave you to decide. Olusanya will be well chuffed at least - he’s guaranteed a bumper long term contract now… Edited 2 hours ago by The.Moog Quote

So aye, instead of the knee-jerk reaction in appointing Robinson, we've taken more than a month to think long and hard about this and still ended up with Robinson. FFS. 1 Quote

Bukta Bertie Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I've been at the doctors this morning. Good news is I'm still alive. Bad news is after reading that press release from the club I'm not convinced I want to be. This will take a bit of thought before I carefully consider my response. I shall contemplate it over a cup of coffee and a Markie's chocolate cookie. Quote

It seriously took 8 weeks to come to the conclusion that the manager of the team 3rd bottom of the league who has not beaten our omnishambles of a team this season is best option. Not happy about this at all. His teams play brutal football and cannot see me paying for a season ticket to watch it. Quote
CurlsLikeTattie Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I might have to buy a season ticket so I can send it back to them in disgust! He will, of course, get my full (initial) support should he take the position. Quote

Which might be a good thing. Anyway, Robinson is a good manager, with a good record in our league. He's a fucking terrible appointment for us though. Goodwin, I could understand, in that there might have been a case that he was still in his early years of management and could be pliable to the extent that he could change his style of play and work within the parameters of "the strategy". Robinson blows any attempts to pretend that there is a strategy out of the water. He's more McInnes than McInnes, and those of us who were arguing for years that we were correct to get rid of McInnes have now been proven entirely incorrect. Anyway, something for the fans to get excited about. Quote
