  • What sort of update would keep everyone happy though? If there's a potential issue with the manager's previous club then any public announcement could prejudice the resolution of that issue.

Hi first time on this chat be gentle. I personally don't think any managers in scotland appeal at the moment ( apart from steve clarke but don't think he would come to us and don't fancy waiting

Damn I must have slept a long time if it’s April 1.

It makes cormack mentioning Sandro Schwartz completely ridiculous now.

The prawcess has been thrown out the window. It reeks of desperation. Also, the penguin snatcher will have had fuck all to do  with this, so what’s the point in him?

This might give St. Mirren a boost as well.

Hahahaha 🤦‍♂️

So two months scouring the globe and using Lutz “extensive global network” (not my words) and we end up with Stephen fuckin Robinson.

A guy who’s style of play is completely unsuited to our squad & the “style” we’re supposed to want to play, and who’s got St Mirren currently nearer relegation than us.

I know we’re desperate but fuck me. Can only assume Askou telt them to fuck off as no way they’d go Robinson first fae Scottish managers.

I get we’re desperate, but this is THE dictionary definition of a panic move.

Goodwin 2.0. Pretty sure we’ll be looking for yet another manager by next summer.

I guess ST’s and DNA aren’t the priority these days as they are gonna take a big hit.

What a shambles… 😩🤦‍♂️

This will be the most unpopular hiring in club history. I’d argue this could help get us relegated as I can see fans staying away with this turn of events.

Is Russell Martin still available??

Nah, the tourist still has that title if you ask me.

They're three weeks early for an April Fool.

Knowingly hiring a rapist was pretty poor

Goodwillie hadn't been through the civil court when we took him on.  We hired someone who had been accused of rape but police had declined to prosecute.

Fuck Sake

Maybe it’s a strategic masterclass. A ingenious game of 4D chess.

Fuck the buds by hiring their manager, avoid relegation as the key short term goal, sack Robinson in June & go get Pep 2.0 from Lutz global network

I mean it must be that….. right? 🤷‍♂️

Or perhaps we’re run by a shower of desperate, clueless fuds.

I’ll leave you to decide.

Olusanya will be well chuffed at least - he’s guaranteed a bumper long term contract now…

Oooo, what if there's a plot twist and he turns us down.....

For the first time in ages, he might just be able to sign a proper functioning CH though - so there is that…

There will be plenty of time and scope to hold people to account once the process is concluded and we get the full story, getting the pitchforks out and demanding speed takes priority is how we'll end up with someone like Robinson.

So aye, instead of the knee-jerk reaction in appointing Robinson, we've taken more than a month to think long and hard about this and still ended up with Robinson. FFS.

That’s not what happened but it’s probably not the place for it

I've been at the doctors this morning. Good news is I'm still alive. Bad news is after reading that press release from the club I'm not convinced I want to be.

This will take a bit of thought before I carefully consider my response. I shall contemplate it over a cup of coffee and a Markie's chocolate cookie.

Here’s hoping.

It seriously took 8 weeks to come to the conclusion that the manager of the team 3rd bottom of the league who has not beaten our omnishambles of a team this season is best option. Not happy about this at all. His teams play brutal football and cannot see me paying for a season ticket to watch it.

I might have to buy a season ticket so I can send it back to them in disgust!

He will, of course, get my full (initial) support should he take the position.

If you say it three times he appears. Which might be a good thing.

Anyway, Robinson is a good manager, with a good record in our league. He's a fucking terrible appointment for us though.

Goodwin, I could understand, in that there might have been a case that he was still in his early years of management and could be pliable to the extent that he could change his style of play and work within the parameters of "the strategy". Robinson blows any attempts to pretend that there is a strategy out of the water. He's more McInnes than McInnes, and those of us who were arguing for years that we were correct to get rid of McInnes have now been proven entirely incorrect.

Anyway, something for the fans to get excited about.

Jings.

On the bright side, he'll probably bring a lot of good backroom staff with him. We're really struggling in the goalkeeping department, especially when coming for crosses. They're bound to have someone who can help on that front.
