David James moves to Bristol City :o

Quite surprised by that. Quite a coup for City. Unlucky Septic

Mark hughes is Fulham's new manager. Think that is a more than decent appointment. Hopefully he can build on Roy's success and ensure they retain a few of their key players from last season.

  • Dundee United look like they're doing a lot of research into whether their signings are a good culture fit for them, hence signing someone who looks like he already lives in a caravan.

Had to laugh reading that Celtic's latest transfer target is Paulo Bernardo 🤨 Hope their next moves will be for Nigela Pepperi and Nikita Maynardo.

leicester have bought Beckford from Everton for £4m - apparently that ends the interest on their part for jelavic.

Rangers are mugs for not accepting that offer. It's not like they're challenging on all fronts :D

Joe Cole has signed for Lille, can see him being a success there, might be more suited to a continental league.

Leaves Everton very short in the striking department. Would think Moyes will be looking for a replacement sharpish.

With Arteta going to Arsenal that may well happen sooner rather than later.

Perpetual target Stephen Hughes released by Norwich.

Deal off.

I text'd in the following to the BBC transfer deadline page this afternoon:

"Free agent James McFadden spotted arriving at Aberdeen Airport by my Uncle who works there - Jay, Edinburgh"

But they never posted it.  :(

Hargreaves off to Man City.  :o Didn't see that coming. If fit, could be a good signing. I'm sceptical whether he will get much of a look in though with Barry, Toure, De Jong etc already playing in there.

Got to love the rumours on transfer deadline day.  Kaka to Spurs is the latest one!

*Note to Charlie Adam. Learn how to spell Craig Bellamy's name, preferably before you arrange a game of golf with him.

Bad night for Everton.

2242: News from Scotland, and it's got a hint of mystery about it. Rangers have rejected a late £9m offer for striker Nikica Jelavic after receiving a call from an agent who refused to say what club he was representing. It could have been anyone but let's rule Accrington Stanley out for starters.

Hmmm,  my money's on it being a prank call from Jagerdeen

Definitely, there is not much more he can do at that club.

I must admit that this deadline window concept is a winner. We get Jim White saying "busy busy" and the village idiot, Ian Dowie, gets wheeled out to offer his expert insightfulnessicessity. This is entertainment of a very high level. One day, you small cunts will appreciate this.
