Jute Posted Monday at 13:49 Report Posted Monday at 13:49 A fee paid is interesting given we were supposedly getting him on a free last week. Wonder if sell on has been removed? Quote

RicoS321 Posted Monday at 15:22 Report Posted Monday at 15:22 Is it too late for Thursday's game? Or are we allowed to sign up until the day? Quote

DantheDon Posted Monday at 15:49 Report Posted Monday at 15:49 Might make the squad but sounds like it’s going to be too early for him to have much impact by Thelins comments. From BBC: "We've been monitoring Marko for a while and are very pleased to have secured his signature," "He has a fantastic pedigree and despite his young age has played at high level in different leagues across Europe. "We will have to be realistic in our expectations with Marko as it will take him a bit of time to get up to match sharpness and integrate into our way of working. "His pre-season has been a little frustrating due to the uncertainty surrounding his future, but he's shown great patience and now he's finally arrived we're delighted to get down to the hard work with him to get him up to speed. "We believe he will be an excellent addition to our squad. He has an imposing physical presence; good technical ability and he will provide versatility and competition for places ahead of a busy season. "We believe we can unlock some of the undoubted raw materials that he has to make him a potent threat for Aberdeen." Quote

manc_don Posted Monday at 22:35 Report Posted Monday at 22:35 So we paid a fee in the end? Interesting to see how much it was in the end and if they still have a sell on. Really hope this guy is a big part of the answer! Quote

He might not be up to much as a striker but he is a body. Surely we have another one coming in if he is leaving Does it say if it is to be permanent or a loan ? Quote

Lazetic, Sokler and Yengi is enough. Unless there's a chance of getting Nisbet in a week or so. At least he's certain to do a job. We've already got a few projects. 2 Quote
Jute Posted yesterday at 08:31 Report Posted yesterday at 08:31 Hope I am wrong but I cannot see us signing Nisbet now. Just does not fit way we are looking to play and don’t think Jimmy is big on having a plan B. Quote

manc_don Posted yesterday at 09:26 Report Posted yesterday at 09:26 Seems to have been a lot of chatter on the hat (I’ve not looked) and Twitter about some surprise departures (Polvara?), new investment (Atlanta?), replacement for our injured LB which is going to be required as it’s a longer spell than we thought, and an exciting player who’s starred against us previously Helps make sense of a lot of rumours there but seems awfy convenient. All three strikers we have are all very different players. Would also say our options out wide are all different types of player (for example, Milanovic cuts inside while Morris is more of a traditional winger) so don't agree with the lack of plan B. Quote
Jute Posted yesterday at 11:24 Report Posted yesterday at 11:24 Yengi and Lazetic look like both intended to act as hold up players to me (admittedly on limit video clips) and thought it was interesting Morris was on the left a lot on Saturday and trying to cut in. Plan B looked a lot like plan A to me. Quote

Replacing Keskinen cutting in with Morris doing so isn't really a change of plan. Morris hitting the byline is pretty much our plan B. We were probably hoping for something a bit more. Sokler offers something different up front, but he's probably better in a two. I suspect Lazetic will be providing the same as is expected of Yengi and was last season of Nisbet. Put it this way, I wouldn't be expecting much of I saw either replace one another during a game. Just different grade of quality. Gueye allowed us to change things up last season, as did Duk for his season. Sokler does offer the option of a two I guess. Quote

The wide players are different types of players (Morris different from Milanovic, Bilalovic different from Keskinen). I don't think we're doing to see huge changes to how Thelin wants to set up, but there clearly is a plan B there. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago Plan B (or C) to me would also involve a different type of 9, not just another big loon up top trying to hold the ball up etc. Quote

Agree on both points Slim, but He does appear to only have a bit part to play under Thelin, so wouldn't be surprised to see him take his chances on moving on somewhere else. Think he could do a job in Europe or maybe he might head back across the water. I know who his bird is, but where is she based as that might play a part in it ? Quote
