OrlandoDon Posted July 29 Report Posted July 29 £1m for gueye bouncing around online?? That plus a sell on fee would be pretty tidy business! quiet day on incoming rumors….4 more coming in was mentioned by??? 1 Quote

Pumping up a player does no harm to anyone. Given he was the only striker on the bench against Ipswich, we may see him in a game or two before he heads out on loan or permanently? Quote

BigAl Posted July 30 Author Report Posted July 30 Not sure how much credence you can put upon what you read in the "red tops" but The Record now reporting a deal for Gueye has not been agreed and that he hasn't been given permission to fly to Turkey today. Negotiations are apparently ongoing and allegedly there is interest from Egypt and the Middle East Mega transfer fee incoming from a Saudi team perhaps Quote

A tidy fee would be greatly appreciated! Quote
manc_don Posted July 30 Report Posted July 30 I see Burns is saying we’ve put another offer to AC as they’re trying to recoup as much of their €4m investment as possible. also that we might get £850k for Pape. Quote

Would like to think we are not paying anything for a striker with his record. Looks a real punt even on a loan. 1 Quote
Reekie_Red Posted July 30 Report Posted July 30 will need to be quite a bit north of the £500k we paid for Pape - his original Belgian club are due a hefty sell-on fee. I'd take £850k and throw in Ambrose to sweeten the deal. 1.2 for the price of 1 2 1 Quote

Reekie_Red Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 Deal done apparently. £850k+ according to Aberdeen Live - https://www.aberdeenlive.news/sport/football/pape-habib-gueye-aberdeen-exit-10388443 Quote
RicoS321 Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 Good luck to him. A good time for him to move on, and a good deal for us. Much like Duk previously, he could be a very frustrating player, but extremely useful on his day. Had we kept him a year longer, I could see the fans bemoaning the frustrating side a lot more. He turned it around from the horrendous first season, and despite some excellent goals, I'll remember his final performance when he worked his arse off and played for the team (The cup final. Which we won. On penalties. Against the Tims). 2 Quote
Panda Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 A good move for both. Would be hard to see us pairing Pape with Yengi or Lazetic (should he sign), and I think pre-season shows Boyd is perhaps the back-up for Aouchiche, so his game-time would be limited, so sell him now while his stock is high. Will be watching his semi-final header, and his turn and pass in the final accompanied by "Gueye's done quite well since coming on" for the rest of my life. Cheers Pape. 1 Quote
manc_don Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 Sad to see him go, but it’s probably for the best for all concerned and as others have said, helps keep his memories positive. Anyone know what the sell on clause kortrijk have? Still, imagine we’ve at least turned a profit and the fact we’ve won silverware with him makes it all worthwhile. Quote
wee toon red Posted July 31 Report Posted July 31 (edited) Club have announced that Richard Jensen is away. No mention of a destination so assume it’s one of those mutual termination things. https://www.afc.co.uk/2025/07/31/richard-jensen-departs-the-dons/ Edited July 31 by wee toon red Quote

OrlandoDon Posted August 1 Report Posted August 1 One month of the window to go, and today we get close to a million for a player who was shite for much of his time here! Interesting times. We’re also slowly getting rid of some of the squad filling dross which is good to see. the fact that the window is open for almost the entire first month of the season is shitty, as hunting for quality takes time as we are seeing. Any names being linked with us other than the Milan forward? Quote
wee toon red Posted August 1 Report Posted August 1 Bavidge away back to Caley for the season. Jimmy says it’ll be reviewed in Jan and that they had a good look at him during pre-season and feel he needs regular games. Quote
