Just reading Levenās Wikipedia page there, didnāt realise how successful heād been as an assistant manager in Belarus and Russia working under the manager whoās now in charge at Dinamo Moscow. Hope thereās a place for him in the future coaching team structure.
-
The reigning āGerman Football Manager of the Yearā who managed a Budesliga team in the Champions League last season? Seems highly unlikely.
-
It would be depressing as fuck if McInnes was the best we could come up with.
-
Liked Mackenzie giving it back to Shinnie in equal measures after Shinnieās shit pass out of play.
-
The manager of the German national team? Very kind of you to befriend the village idiot.
-
Statement went up on the website last night. We appointed a German management consultancy company and seemingly their conclusion is that we need to appoint a Technical Director to support the Director of Football. No really. If the outcome of every management consulting process in the history of the world is anything to go by, we can expect this Technical Director to be affiliated with this consulting company in some way. Steve Gunn better start brushing up on his German.
-
Reading that Steve Tosh tosh on Twitter, I saw Uwe Rosler mentioned which could be a good shout. Currently with AGF in Denmark, got them to 3rd in their league last season. Bit of a patchy history in the English leagues but generally seems to get his teams punching at their weight, if not slightly above, which is what we need pretty much. Re. Michael OāNeil, isnāt he a renowned prolific alcoholic?
-
St Mirren have 2 Norn Ireland players in their squad, probably just watching them?
-
On the face of it, what Warnock said was correct. However, we could have done that with Peter Leven taking the team until the permanent manager was appointed and completely avoid the Warnock circus that was always inevitable to be an embarrassment.
-
Warnock gone. Itās going to be Lennon isnāt it?
-
A clear and obvious error shouldnāt really take 3 minutes of slow motion replays to determine. If weāre picking dubious scapegoats, Roos is 6ā5ā and let in a penalty at least half a foot inside the post when going the right way.
-
Heās clearly just throwing shit at the wall and hoping something sticks.
-
Gartenmann definitely not worth spending any money on. Absolute fanny. Dan Phillips of St Johnstone has impressed me both times Iāve seen him this season, out of contract in the summer I think, Trinidad & Tobago international.
-
Weāre in trouble.
-
I like the Scandinavian option more than the Japanese/Australian league option that we seemed to be considering before we appointed Robson. Would still prefer the former-Yugoslavian war criminal who has managed half a dozen African countries to the World Cup profile.
-
Donāt think Gartenminmin is worth spending any money on. We have MacDonald and Rubezic who can play on the right side of central defence, Iād be looking for someone who can play on the left side ahead of Jensen ideally.
-
Worth mentioning that McKenzie dribbled past more Hibs players than Duk did. He was great today. Thought it was Clarksonās best game in a long time too, far more effective than Barron albeit in different roles. Hoilett looked better than expected, put in some decent crosses but doesnāt look like being able to beat a full back or use his left foot.
-
Phillips offers nothing. Total contribution since he came on is 3 rugby tackles.
-
Dukās diving about is starting to get really fucking annoying.
-
This is the one I mentioned initially, the dotted lines are intersecting with the solid lines of the wrong colour. Miovskiās dotted line seems to curve at the bottom.
-
Shouldnāt the line be drawn from the defenderās elbow? Miovskiās dotted line doesnāt seem to intersect properly with his solid line. Is this supposed to be like Hawkeye in tennis or is it just some Hun in a cupboard with some crayons?
-
If the attacker is in line with the defender itās onside is my understanding. Even the lines drawn on the screen didnāt seem to match up because both lines would have ended up on top of each other. The line from the defenderās shoulder seemed to line up with Miovskiās cross-field line.
-
Whatās the point in VAR if thatās upheld as offside? Clearly onside.
-
Which is far more exciting than our previous tactic of waiting for borderline boilers to finish doing the rounds of the whole town before eventually settling for us because weāre too scared to spread our wings beyond our own doorstep except for a fortnight in Magaluf every couple of years. Occasionally weād get in first with one of the younger local ones but only because we have our own car. Thatās no way to live. The knowing nods between punters every time you enter the local pub. āI see heās taken in Curtis Main this timeā theyāll whisper amongst themselves.
-
I liked the bit about not being wedded to a particular system or formation. Set the team up in a way that suits the strengths of the players you have and limits exposing their weaknesses and the rest is down to man management. Makes more sense than anything Robson ever said. Obviously if that results in Big Angus hoofing it in the vague direction of Big Pape for 90 minutes I wonāt be so happy.
