  1. There’s plenty of it happening with technologies that are easily transferable (e.g. ROVs). Less so on drilling, production equipment, etc. Companies doing subsea construction, inspection, maintenance, etc, are likely to be coping a lot better than the traditional O&G service companies. Although even then everyone is struggling as the wind market is in the toilet also. A lot of the investment in offshore wind comes from oil companies trying to (or appearing to try to) diversify into clean energies but there seems to be a reluctance to invest more if the returns from oil production is drying up or being heavily taxed. Next 6 months are going to be grim for the city.
  2. I think I read Mowbray has been with us since April on a consultancy basis, would be interesting to know how much input he had to our summer signings. I think I also remember reading that the current Head of Recruitment is based in Portugal full time which doesn't seem to be ideal if the only time he spends with JT is on scheduled Teams calls.
  3. I’d take Barnes in our squad I reckon. Starting with the Euro 28 qualifiers. If he’s still interested with no World Cup trip then he should be welcome. Same goes for anyone else with zero caps.
  4. Just send Lovenkrands home FFS
  5. Probably, but this seems to be originating from Scott Burns and seemingly he's our mouthpiece.
  6. Like Lyall Cameron, it probably doesn't go in our favour to have this interest broadcast in the newspapers.
  7. I would say winning at home v Denmark is probably an easier prospect than winning away to any of those Pot 1 teams, except maybe Ukraine.
  8. Red buttons on a white shirt is a bit Ronald McDonald-y.
  9. I hear Truffelos on Regent Quay does the best ones but never tried them.
  10. I’d have Shinnie on the left instead of Jensen. We lose so much momentum from Jensen hesitating and turning onto his right foot.
  11. What the fuck is Thelin doing not bringing on subs?
  12. That’s 4 corners they should have scored from.
  13. We need some fresh legs in midfield.
  14. How many cameras are on him?
  15. That’s as bad as the Warnock experiment.
  16. I think Keskinen did really well with the ugly stuff and didn’t really look out of place at LWB, other than the 2nd goal but Mitov should be coming for that anyway. Can’t question his work-rate.
  17. That’s the problem with the data-driven football decisions, there’s no statistic for “yass min” which means you end up with Jensen starting more games than Devlin. Nicky was immense tonight.
  18. Type of game we need a Gueye-type who can hold onto the ball long enough for midfield/wingers to get forward, otherwise we'll never get up the pitch. Not sure yet if Lazetic can play that role, he's only featured as a sub when we've been chasing goals so far.
  19. I think we’ll see the back 3 in a few of the European games so makes sense to give it a try here.
  20. Good thing we had everyone back for the corner so we didn’t risk leaving anyone unmarked.
  21. If anything did happen with Thelin, I think the prudent thing to do is put Leven in charge again until the TD is in and settled. That at least gives us another couple of months to determine whether the players are being impacted by the tactics or if they’re really just shite.
  22. Yengi has made more suplexes than shots or passes.
  23. Lazetic and Devlin playing for the B team at Forfar tonight.
  24. At the risk of putting too much belief into what he says in interviews rather than just assuming he’s trying to get through them by giving the blandest, inoffensive responses possible, it’s a little concerning that his hypothesis is that we just need to do the same as we’re doing but with more intensity and hard work. We’re easy to play against because we’re predictable. Inverted wingers only really work if the wingers switch sides often, otherwise every full back knows they’re going to cut inside and as a result the full backs “tuck in” a bit more closing gaps in the back 4. Can also be effective if you have overlapping full/wing backs who can get to the goalline but Jensen usually shits himself at the prospect and bungs in a cross from deep instead. At least with Morris we had a bit of a Plan B, now we just seem to be doubling down on Plan A.
