  1. The seam above the logo looks untidy and unnecessary. Not a fan, but I'm not overly bothered either, I don't wear football strips and how fashionable our players look isn't a huge concern.
  2. Looking at the Nike teamwear site too, it seems like this varsity shirt is one of the cheapest off the shelf designs in the range too. I don't like it. And I know this probably won't be a popular opinion, but I don't like having stars above the crest, I think it cheapens our achievements. It's a case of jumping on a bandwagon to piggy back the Italians who do it out of genuine tradition. Man City have got stars on the crest just because it looks "continental". To me, it's a bit like saltire tattoos. I don't need a tattoo to be patriotic and I don't need stars to show how proud I am of our achievements as a club.
  3. I don't think he'd stay if we offered to double his salary after the way he's been treated by Calderwood.
  4. Haven't heard Aberdeen mentioned even once.
  5. I'm Scott Severin. I saunter about in front of the defence playing outrageous forward passes and rarely break sweat. If I was fit that is. I break sweat bending town to tie my laces.
  6. Dundee Utd are trying to sign Gow and Charlie Adam on loan according to the papers this morning.
  7. Didn't we go damn close to repeating the "freak moment of success" the following season?
  8. When he was the lone striker at Tannadice up against Lee Wilkie and Garry Kenneth on his own in the game where he was slaughtered afterwards by Calderwood for not doing enough, he outmuscled Kenneth to win a penalty when most strikers would have been forgiven for thinking chasing the ball was a lost cause and produced an excellent defence splitting pass to put Nicholson through one on one with the keeper. Unfortunately Nicholson fluffed both opportunities. It looks like Lovell is going to get the same treatment as Stavrum, unfairly labelled as lazy. I've seen Mackie have just as much, if not more, matches where he's looked disinterested and couldn't be bothered.
  9. With a manager who knew how to get the best out of him, a system that suited his style of play and some excellent players around him, Lovell could easily be one of the best strikers in the SPL. Hasn't really worked out at Pittodrie for him, but he seems like a nice guy, has only ever had good things to say about the club, even when things haven't gone his way, so I wish him all the best and hope he can find a club where he feels more at home.
  10. He's playing for a team in the Norwegian 2nd tier, just promoted from the 3rd tier, Nybergsund.
  11. Motherwell supporter I asked said that he always runs out of steam after about an hour and will likely be in the headlines more for what he gets up to off the pitch, especially at Aberdeen where he'll be under a biggers spotlight. If Foran's the only striker we sign, we're in for a long difficult season. Bossu sounds garbage, lets not forget Jim Leighton highly rated Ryan Esson as a goalkeeper.
  12. It's another case of signing players who aren't bad instead of signing players who are good. He's a steady enough player, but he's not going to influence games. That's fine up to a point, but I'm worried that these types of players are going to soon outnumber the talented first name on the teamsheet types. I'm worried we're going to end up with 20 squad players and the starting 11 each week is decided through a paper, scissors, stone round robin tournament every Friday afternoon. Having said that, I'm far more comfortable signing Duff as a squad player than I am signing Foran as a first team player.
  13. He got dropped by Hayes in the year they got relegated from the Conference in England. Their manager obviously didn't know his best position or something.
  14. According to the Sun in the BBC Gossip page, financially, we've done not too badly this season, pity or major summer signing is going to be Richie Foran
  15. Probably, it's not as if I've got anything better to do.
  16. I'll be in Section Y too in my season ticket seat.
  17. Not convinced by Mulgrew, he's a bit too Scott Morrison for my liking. Good left peg on him but shit at defending. Utd fans I have spoke to reckon he fired in a few good free kicks in his first couple of games but was fairly average after that. He's since failed to make an impression at Celtic and Wolves. I'd rather have Dixon from Dundee, from the sounds of it, he's a far better prospect.
  18. Looks to be confirmed on their site: http://www.glenavonfc.com/ Made 16 appearances for them this season, 7 from the bench and scored 1 goal.
  19. They shouldn't need to research anything, if Aberdeen fans were involved with trouble in Munich, they would know about it. No-one's going to blame them for printing a letter with incorrect statements they were unaware of, but I'm certain that the editor of the P&J would know for a fact there was no trouble in Munich without the need for research but went ahead and printed it anyway.
  20. I reckon printing a letter that they are fully aware contains statements that are grossly inaccurate is bang out of order. They should stick to reporting the news instead of trying to create it.
  21. £70k looks like it would have been a bargain, Swansea have just rejected an offer of £750k from Derby.
  22. He's far too good to be playing in the 1st division.
  23. That's them just dropped 2 points at Motherwell. Unless they knock 5 past St Mirren, Celtic are back in the driving seat.
  24. I was in goals for the DonsTalk team 2 years ago when we reached the semi final, drinking Mezz's pint during the QF was excellent preparation for my penalty shoot out heroics
  25. :hammer:
