  1. I was amazed and bemused at the same time when I read that the bypass is going to be littered with traffic lights and roundabouts. What morons are responsible for planning this? It should be a national speed limit trunk road with flyovers and slip roads. And it should be 3 lanes wide, not 2. Give it 20 years and it'll be like Anderson Drive is today. One lane with Asco lorries nose to tail and one lane where everyone's following the moron doing the same speed as the lorries but feels he has to be in the overtaking lane anyway. If they're not going to do it properly, they would be better off spending the money improving the current road infrastructure by resurfacing roads instead of filling pot holes with loose gravel and wondering why they keep reappearing. Any money left over can be spent on public transport, for example, introducing a shuttle train service that can use tracks that are already in place from Inverurie to Stonehaven with stops in places like Kintore, Blackburn, Dyce Airport, Stoneywood, Bucksburn, Woodside, Kittybrewster, Denburn, Aberdeen Station, Tullos/Torry, Altens, Cove, Portlethen, Newtonhill and Muchalls. A lot of those places already have stations/platforms and the others just need a simple concrete platform and a set of stairs going down from street level. No houses need to be demolished, no schools or businesses need to be relocated and it can smash the monopoly the taxi drivers have on the airport. They can even use the spur that goes from Kittybrewster down to the beach too if they wanted to be even more ambitious. It'll never happen, but as most of the infrastructure is already there and in use, why not?

  3. It was more that the loud singing then mayhem with flares and toilet rolls, etc, happened at a football tournament for 10 year old children than 'wow look at the display ooooh it's so pretty'.
  4. Polish Ultras at an Under 11 tournament: Gets good from 1.20 onwards.
  5. I don't care who Dundee Utd appoint as their manager as the only way Dundee Utd are a threat to us is if we're well below where we should be.
  6. He reckons McGhee can turn Mackie into a decent striker by teaching him how to make best use of his pace. Shouldn't this have been done 10 years ago? I'd rather give someone like Paton or Maguire a shot through the middle instead of sticking them out wide. Hopefully the reported signings of O'Brien and Marshall will help this.
  7. Either that or it was evident that he wasn't very good when we had him on trial.
  8. That's the end of that then: http://www.honefossbk.no/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1585:lynspiller-til-honefoss&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=88

  10. Fair play to him, would be all too easy to fall into a pit of bitterness and blame everyone else, hope he does manage to rediscover the form he once had and get back to a higher level.
  11. From what I heard, he was far from match fit. We should probably be addressing why some players are being criticised rather then why some aren't.
  12. They are, this is over and above existing commitments
  13. Nah, the match ball is only available to corporate guests, it's a strip or something that goes to the punters in the stands I think.
  14. It's more the glaring holes in his story that is creating this reaction. He's said the club have been back in touch with him, but makes no mention of what they said. From personal experience, we had a table last season at a corporate function in the RDU, guy at our table won the raffle for the match ball. When his ticket was pulled out, he went up, got a picture taken with a player, then the ball was placed in a carrier bag and handed to him. Before this guy had his picture taken with the ball, it must have existed at that point and he's failed to explain how the ball came to be removed from his possession.
  15. Gary Caldwell's Twitter, worth a chuckle: http://twitter.com/GaryCaldwell5 "Gary doesn't shower in the morning. I wake up smelling of success, why wash that off? Straight to breakfast." "Not many people have a carvery for breakfast...Not many people are Gary Caldwell." "Off to China Buffet King; "eat what you like for £9" - Gary Caldwell's going to eat their cutlery"
  16. Ifil sent off for a stupid kick at Samaras after he'd won a free kick. He lost his markers for both goals too. Not a great display.
  17. This guy does a daily blog of what he's had for lunch, some of it is hilarious, some disgusting, some both: http://pretaranger.blogspot.com/
  18. The two Huns in the pub here have left at half time
  19. Predictably, he's pissed off both Levein and Scott:
  20. Bagshaw wasn't it?
  21. Jamie McAllister. How he's played for Scotland is a complete mystery. One of the worst left backs I've seen in a red shirt and that's saying something.
  22. If only the internet was as widely used back then. Can you imagine the level of backlash there would have been in those 5 days? We might have been spared the useless cunt.

    Formula One

Symonds has gone too. I'll be amazed if Renault are on the grid next year. The team itself is still going to get punished.
  24. Another young striker lined up, this one from Canada: http://newsdurhamregion.com/sports/article/134618
