Allegedly being lined up as a player manager by one of the 3rd division sides. Cannot remember which one might have been Dumbarton?

See Gow is going to Burnley as part of Lafferty deal. Another off the list.

They did well then.

St Mirren v Aberdeen, 19:45
Wonder what the Alamo will be like after dark.
Actually quite happy with the fixtures. Needed one of the easier games at home first as going to miss it for mates wedding so Caley meets that.
-
Agreed. Does mean that 4th placed team will be starting Europe in early July though. JC will not be happy at not getting his usual month and a bit in Spain if we are 4th next season.
-
JC quoted in paper today saying no interest in O'Brien.
-
Most skillful Hans most consistent Theo but hans shades it just for me.
-
Its not the fact we are looking at bosman siginings that concerns me its more the standard of player we are looking at that concerns me. McDonald apart all of the other players we have looked at are guys who are not wanted by their existing clubs which does not fill me with confidence that they will be of the standard to take the club forward.

Higdon has never impressed when I have seen him against us. Would not be good move imo.
-
Was thinking United may want to take him now that Levein is there. Can't see it being Jamie Smith as he's too injury prone. Won't be Miller as he's just signed a new deal. Zander?
Zander would be my bet if anyone is to move on.
-
So's Amersham.
The most worrying thing about the article is Richie Foran taking Lovell's place. That is just wrong.
Replacing one player who hardly played due to injury with another who's record is even worse does not make much sense. Foran hardly a prolific scorer either.
-
Anyone else heading over for this then? I have booked for the last 2 games.
-
Flights booked out the Tuesday to Amsterdam back the Sunday from Dortmund. Just need to find the grounds now and book hotels.
-
Very weak looking squad. No commanding centre half at the back, no real ball player in midifield that will play more than 3 games a season and very few goals from the strikers. Nothing in that team makes me want to go out and buy a season ticket. Hopefully the big wow factor signings are still to come but I have my doubts.
-
Good player but still under contract at Caley and would think that they would want a sizable fee for a midfielder who scored 9 goals. Hope I am wrong but suspect that would rule us out of any potential bid.
-
I don't expect Foran and McDonald and the French keeper to be our only signings, in fact they will be far from our best signings.
Hope your right but suspect your wrong.
-
Another player who will run his heart out for 90 mins but wth very little ability. We all ready have plenty in that category and would rather our limited budget had been used to get in a player with a bit of skill.
-
Now to organise time off work! Prob full trip for me if can get time off.
Manc_don - a few years ago you could buy a summer tour train ticket that let you travel anywhere on 4 separate days in the summer. Do you know if there's any deals like that this summer?
Jager will be out for the last three matches. What are your travel plans?
-
Has anything offical been announced by Dons about Dutch tour as now we have no Europe I will be heading across to this and looking to get something booked.
-
He is now my favourite Dons keeper since saving me from the Nazi's.
Know I am going to regret asking this but how did he do that and why?
-
Wikipedia was talking shit about Davids, looks like he's been a regular for them this season:
http://www.nec-nijmegen.nl/layout.php?p=4&SpelerID=1194
According to that site he is under contract until 2009. Is he being freed or are we paying a fee?
-
Not a signing I would be overly impressed with and definitely not one that would make me change my mind on not buying a season ticket again this year. Think Parker is to similar in style to Mackie and Bebo.
-
Some great trips in europe but in the main watched some awful football. Can only think of a handful of matches that I thought we played well in. Even in some of the Uefa games (Bayern and Athens away) we were utter crap. League stuff in the main has been dross and cup semi final defeats were a disgrace that in most seasons would have seen managers sacked.
-
I'd rather Lee Miller did leave. He never wanted to come to Aberdeen, and it's pretty obvious he wants to leave - just nobody will have him.
He doesn't get nearly enough goals - so fuck 'im.
Give another player a go - see if they are any better - surely couldn't score many less.
I hate it when I have to agree with you but your spot on. Miller does not socre anywhere near enough goals for the money we pay him. Guy knocked us back twice before being forced to come here as nobody else wanted him and now is just using us as a fall back position just in case that there is not a bigger fool than JC out there to offer more cash to go elsewhere.
-
Given the previous history between AFC and Mr. McCurry, and the nature of the fixture, the SFA would be mad to appoint him as the referee for our next game.
Can you imagine if Rangers still needed a win to win the SPL, he was in charge of the game and he chalked off a legitimate goal we had scored? He wouldn't get to leave Pittodrie in one piece, that's for sure.
Also, as for having nothing to play for, we can still finish higher up in the league table, so that's something to play for. I doubt Jimmy or some of the players would settle for sixth place.
From what I saw on Saturday I would say we clearly had settled for 6th.

Going to make getting the train up a pain in the arse if it is an earlier kick off. Would rather it was a Sunday game if it is moved.
