Still think he is to slow for Scottish game. Looked good in games where he has been up against slow players (DeVries and Sno) and in Europe against and Athletico side who were playing at half pace. Whenever he has come up against anyone with a bit of pace he has struggled. Might do ok as a holding midfielder as long as he has someone to do all the leg work for him.

At the moment not going to get a season ticket again next season. There were too many midweek/Sunday games this season to make it worth while for me to get one. Also qulaity on show for most of this season makes it hard for me to justify the price they are looking for. However if JC goes out and signs some players of real qulaity and ability then I may change my mind.

Surprised by the number of folk who would rather see Rangers fail than Aberdeen succeed. Personally if Rangers winning every league game apart from the one against us is the price of us getting uefa place again then it is one I am prepared to accept.
-
Peat and Smith two well known Huns at the SFA helping Rangers. What a surprise. Where was the help for us earlier in the season.

Think the penthouse flat should be empty then Jute so we can live like kings in the Hague for free... you're only a couple of hours from anywhere then anyway.
Sound will give you a shout once the fixtures have been confirmed. Hopefully get a couple of decent fixtures to make trip worth while.

Over 80 games in 2 seasons suggests that he is atleast not as injury prone as many players we have signed
Sure our futuristic training facilities and methods will soon sort that out.

So who is all going out for this?
-
Cannot say that I remember him playing against us (ie. not outstandily brilliant but not total shite either or I would have remembered) but Killie supporting mate said he is a decent player and that they were a bit disappointed when he left. Hopefully once and for all kills any chance of Darren Young returning.
-
Pity - Ireland would have been good, although playing Leeds might have been asking for trouble!!
Suspect potential trouble maybe have been one of the reasons for the trip being cancelled.
Anyone seen anything on who we might be playing in Holland as still thinking of going over.
-
Will be on the train north so will miss this. Might be sad and v+ it.

Dixon is apparently very much on the cards.
As under 23 we still need to pay compensation which could prove a stumbling block. Also see Kevin McDonald and Scott Robertson are out of contract with Dundee. Again compensation would be due for both but if we could find the cash for that would sign all three. Mind you if Norwich and Everton have had bids reject for these players recently we have shaft all chance of getting them if they come in again as we will not be able to compete on wages.
-
Both have been rank in the games I have seen them in before and since they have signed for us. Neither is good enough to be playing for Dons and should be moved on as quickly as possible. Sadly looks like JC will be keeping them. Makes me concerned about standard of player JC is looking at for next season if JC thinks these two balloons are good enough to stay.
-
Of course Duff will get a new contract as its an easy option for one of our 12 new players and means JC has one less to find before he starts his 6 weekd holiday.
-
Up until October this season Miller was pish. Then he was not offered a contract and he suddenly starts scoring and playing well. End of December gets offered a contract and goals dry up again. Coincidence I think not. Also do not like the way he falls over everytime he is challanged for the ball. Refs are on to this and now he is getting nothing even when he is fouled.
Lastly does not score enough goals for the money we pay him. Even Colin Pish at Killie/Hibs has managed more.
-
Depends on if we could get tv interested in any of the games and level of crowds we would get. Also would depend on how far we got. If we went out whilst in inter toto then would probably lose cash however if were to get to first round proper would probably make money. Suppose thats the gamble you take on entering.
Personally I would have liked the Dons to enter as its a route to Uefa and possibility of making group stages again.

Thank fuck I never booked the trains for this game but I suspect others will not be as lucky. Yet again fans are pissed all over by the league.

The fans rep on the board is Chris Gavin. Now that's somebody we never hear anything from.
Oops wrong person. Knew the guys name began with Chris. Oh well knew that it was to much to hope for that this guy was actually putting his head above the parpapit

Backs up my suspicion that professional footballers are the biggest bunch of drama queens out there.
I've worked with hundreds of men and women who spend their working week away from their families so they can give them a better standard of living. I've also worked with plenty who have over 2 hours daily commute to and from work who just get on with it. But poor Jackie can't manage to drive up to Aberdeen a couple times a week.
Tough fucking tittie.
You shouldn't need to ask. If you're paying someone a wage and they're turning up fucked then either you bin them or tell them to move because it's effecting their work.
Thoughts?
Mair and Langfield?
-
Shame it didn't work out but you won't be missed Jackie.
Was never going to work. Guy was finished before he came here. He hardly played in over two years before he came to us as his knees were gone and should not have been touched. And before people say anything about 20/20 hindsight please look at old posts on AFC chat and on here when we first signed him and you will say me saying something similar.
-
Have to agree with everything said in the article. Also good to see the fans rep on the board actually saying something against the party line.
-
Cannot believe that Claderwood tried to keep him. Should have been offering to pack his bag for him and carry it to the car.
-
I'm shocked at how many people have voted to keep Touzani?
The times that I have seen of him in an Aberdeen shirt, I've been mostly (not always) pleased with his performance and I would like to see him get a proper run in the team, so we have some idea of what he can do.
Although, I fail to see why JC offered him a new contract. He is clearly not his first choice, more like 3rd or 4th choice. When he's fit, he sits on the bench!!
Only game that I saw him play half decent was in Madrid and for 45mins against United. Other games he has been pish and in two was taken off at half time he was that bad. He does not have the legs for the Scottish game to play at the back or the speed of thought to play in the midfield. No surprise to me that his best game was in Europe where he was given plenty of time on the ball by an Athletic team that were playing at half speed.
-
Celtic are not without there own problems for this game
I think we can again do something - and until Europe is mathematically impossible will continue to have some warped hope.
Caldwell, Naylor, Hartley and Vennegoor all out..
Given how pish they have all been for selick this season I would say it is a set back that these players are out.

He's the reserve team coach, non?
Was originally brought here to be specialist striking coach but when our strikers struggled to score JC moved his mate to being reserve coach instead.
