  1. from wiiki:

    Recreation Park, Alloa: Capacity 3000

    Stark's Park, Kirkcaldy: Capacity 10,104

So I would guess we will get pretty much as many tickets as we want for Rovers and about 1500-2000 for Alloa.

Last time I was at Raith match there were no seats in the West stand next to away fans. Looked like it had been closed. Big stand behind the goal should be big enough though. Cannot be arsed with Alloa although at least it now has a railway station so is not such a pain in the arse to get to as it used to be.

  2. In normal circumstances BB I'd agree completely but the situation with Hearts is far from normal. Its possibly very crude to say it but the consensus in the Edinburgh business community is that the whole escapade has been an elaborate money laundering exercise. If Romanov walks away completely (which I have been told he is very very close to doing) then administration may not be possible. I agree that Hearts are too big to go away, their fan base alone will ensure they would return in some form but the pleasure in watching them play East Stirling for a season will be something to relish.

I'm never one to attach myself to these rumours as they are so often a pile of shit and its very possible that this one is too but it has come through a credible channel. I guess we will just have to keep watching and see, its traditional that Hearts press the self-destruct button when the footballing side is doing well.

My Boss has heard something similar from his YPO group. Also heard that Jambos are not paying their bills again. If Romanov and his bank do walk away and demand their £40M would administration even be worth it as cannot see where they would raise that kind of money.

  3. Think this is a game we have to win. Win it and we are back in the fight for 3rd despite a poor start and it will boost players confidence. Lose and we are dragged back into bottom couple of places with a long depressing winter ahead.

If we have serious ambitions about being best of the rest (still say that aimming for 3rd as an ambition is a bit of joke) then we really cannot afford to lose again until 22nd November when we play Huns.

  4. Do not think you can say that we have turned the corner after winning one game. Can only say that if we go on an undefeated run that sees us getting back up the table into a position that sees us challanging for 3rd. Anything less is still going backwards on last few seasons. Also think the style of football has to improve to get folk back through the gates and watching the team again.

  5. I'm sure we did play well but almost without exception our best, most entertaining games since JC has arrived have been against Hibs.  Although it sounds promising I suspect that we will revert to type against Falkirk and Hearts.  It could be argued that Chris Anderson and Dick Donald failed to sufficiently capatilise on our success in the 80s, thus laying the foundations for our inevitable downturn.  Letting Ian Donald take over merely exacerbated the problem

Not sure if its fair to blame Chris Anderson. He was the man responsible for us having the first all seater stadium so was probably ahead of his time. From what I have heard and read I do not think we would have been in the mess we are in now if he had lived longer.
