We have struggled with St Mirren’s physical style all season and with their pitch not in the best condition for playing football don’t see this being any different. Despite his poor form of late this might be a game for sticking with Gueye to give us a physical presence. As had been said we need to find a way to win this one to keep up pressure on Hibs for third place. Not sure we will though. Hopefully Tobers is fit for this one as think he is a better option beside Knooster to combat St Mirren’s strikers. In train then pub away end train back to capital 1-1 Nisbet

Ref awarded Barca a penalty right on full time then overturned it on review. Not sure he should have. Into extra time now.

Great win and some strike by Nisbet but overall thought we did not play particularly well especially in first half. We got better once We took off Morris and Gueye. No idea what Gueye’s strop about getting subbed was about as thought he was lucky to come out for 2nd half. Subs made us better and we looked more dangerous in second half. Train back was full of disappointed spoonburners was entertaining.

Hope so. Agree with Panda on Devlin and Jensen move. Defensively makes sense to have Devlin up against Boyle as far better defender and some of Jensen’s delivery has been best of our wide players. I would stick with Dorrington to avoid making too many changes at the back. I am not sure Polvara starts as Thelin seems to like Palaversa and Clarkson pairing and Hibs having 11 on the field at the start means not the space for Polvara in midfield. If McGrath wasn’t going to Hibs I would have him in at 10 and Nisbet further forward. As it’s Hibs think we are stuck with Nisbet at 10 and Gueye as number 9.

Besuijen has another year left on his contract.

Duk got off the bench in the second half and provided the assist for Leganes equaliser admittedly with cross being deflected. Miovski not getting on when they took off Stuani is definitely a concern for our potential sell on.

You are usually right to suspect my lack of will power but on this occasion when it’s a mixture of likely defeat and massively overpriced tickets I usually don’t go. Didn’t attend last league cup final due to ticket price and suspect it will be at least £40 ticket this time again. Not paying that to watch Scottish football.

John McGinn reduced to sub appearances for Villa these days.

Was at Sunderland v Blackburn today and on today’s evidence cannot see Sunderland making it up through play offs. Plenty of possession with loads of pretty side ways passes but created very few clear cut chances.
