A good player who will be hard to replace. Cannot think of any players on the go in Scotland that we could get into replace him that we could afford. Will leave us short of a centre half and a midfielder.

Not a great loss really.  I can only recall a handful of games where he's looked anything other than mediocre.

Even at mediocre he was a better option than Mackie on the wing but if you cannot get a game for whatever reason in front of Mackie then I suppose it really is time to move on.

Saturday was an oppertunity lost to give the worst Hun team I can recall seeing (and I am old enough to remember the pish Hun teams of the 80s) a right good doing. They were there for the taking but for what ever reason be it poor form or negative tactics we failed to do that. Was left feeling very frustrated on Saturday and a bit disappointed that so many Dons fans now see a negative 0-0 against a weak Hun team as a good result.

There is no doubt that teams would suffer initially if the bigot brothers left, but over a period of time, a really competitive league would start to flourish again.

True. Only got to look at Huns. A few years back they had 9 or 10 players in U17 squad and of them only Fleck (who was playing above his age level) has made it anywhere near the first team. Was just pointing out that we have had this sort of numbers before at this level and nothing has come of it.

We had this sort of representation before in the U17 ,U18 and U19 set ups problem is they do not seem to make the step on from there.

Would still like us to sign a decent partner for Miller as think Aluko is needed wide to create chances.

Also as much as I enjoyed winning on Sunday I still think we have someway to go before we are the finished article. Its only two weeks since we lost without any fight and were out played at Hamilton and made look very poor by Alloa.

Well are on a bit of a run now so can see them closing the 9 point gap also think that Hibs could also come back into it now that they have replaced the clown in goal with the bald Polish bloke who's name I forget form United. Still think it will be tight between all 5 for third and we will not run away with it because of ability to turn in performances like Hamilton and Alloa as well ones like yesterday.

Agree with funster (yes I do feel unclean) that would only sell if someone came in with an offer that was to good to turn down.

What a surpirse we are playing the old firm in nest couple of weeks to Daily Retard and the Hun run stories about other clubs poaching our players/manager. Never fails to happen.

It's probably a consultant he's going to see who also happens to be a surgeon. I'd imagine it will be covered by private medical insurance. If he had to wait to see an NHS consultant it would take about 6 months from first making contact just to get an appointment, which would probably be a month or 2 after that still!

 

Only thing I could think is that the surgeon will look at scans and have a better idea of the injury than the physios who can only really work on external signs to see progress.

 

Lets just hope the surgeon doesn't come back and say it's a career ender 

 

Pretty sure Dons use Albyn for the medical work.

As long as he is replaced by a player of better quality (which lets face it should not be to hard) then I am quite happy for Mackie to be punted as have no fear of Scotlands Michael Owen coming back to haunt us.

Won't make too much of a difference IMHO opinion. Also maybe should have given the game to ST holders for nothing.

 

Having said that, I suppose East Fife wouldn't want to put them too low.

As gate is split letting the season ticket holders in for nothing would mean that East Fife would be entitled to claim a proportion of the season ticket money.

Yes East Fife would have to agree to any cut in gate price. Hopefully both clubs will agree to it or can see there being pish crowd like there was at Hamilton game last year.

Comment shows you were not there. Would have taken the no cunt option if there had been one however I took Aluko for sparing us the agony of a replay.

Decent draw for the club but cannot see fans turning out in force for it unless they consider droping the prices.
