  1. Think Cove have best chance of progressing of the Highland League sides. Would expect Brechin and Ayr to win easily enough and Spartans to be to strong for Fraserburgh. Airdrie are in the shit financially again and have a team that were cobbled together at the last minute so Cove have a decent chance. Other team who might get through is Formartine who are playing a struggling Forfar.
  2. 3rd round draw after SFA made a tit of the first one. Clyde v East Fife Spartans v Fraserburgh East Kilbride v Albion Rovers Queen's Park v Dunfermline Athletic Buckie Thistle v Brechin City Formartine United v Forfar Athletic Peterhead v Raith Rovers Dumbarton v Elgin City Banks O'Dee v Ayr United Stranraer v Brora Rangers Arbroath v Berwick Rangers Stenhousemuir v Alloa Athletic LTHV v St Mirren Montrose v Queen of the South Livingston v Glenafton Athletic Airdrieonians v Cove Rangers Dons enter in the next round.
  3. 2nd round results Round 2 Banks o'Dee 2-0 Selkirk Berwick Rangers 1-0 Annan Athletic Buckie Thistle 6-2 BSC Glasgow/Dalbeattie Star Civil Service Strollers 0-5 Brora Rangers Cowdenbeath 0-1 East Kilbride Deveronvale 0-2 Glenafton Athletic Edinburgh City 0-1 Stenhousemuir Edinburgh University 0-2 Fraserburgh Elgin City 3-1 Edusport Academy Formartine United 4-0 East Stirlingshire Keith 0-3 Clyde Montrose 4-1 Stirling University Nairn County 1-2 Cove Rangers Peterhead 9-0 Colville Park Spartans 5-0 Clachnacuddin Stirling Albion 3-5 Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale Good result for Banks of Dee knocking out Selkirk who have been going well in the lowland league. LTHV knocking yet another SPFL teamout as well.
  4. Allerdyce is a corrupt cunt and would not be happy about him having anything to do with Scottish set up. Really think it has to be someone with no connection with Scottish football currently and with no old firm baggage.
  5. Looking forward to this game now especially if we keep the same team as started the St Johnstone game. Think the team looked more balanced. In Flat as pub is further from flat than ground Away end Flat 2-1 Dons Rooney and May
  6. £20 & £25 for Malta. Got £3 off if you are a member of the supporters club.
  7. Could even just give it to his current assistant.
  8. Chris Maguire played in Carling Cup competition in 2011 but last Don to play in a qualifier I can think of was Scott Severin in 2006.
  9. Great performance but was beginning to think goal was never going to come. Slovenia losing last minute goal sets us up nicely to fuck up against a team not giving a shit. Just in case however I am going to book play off dates off when I go into work tomorrow.
  10. 3-1 up now but could easily have been reduced to 10 when it was still 1-0 to Accies.
  11. Ancelotti sacked by Bayern despite winning 70% of the games while he was in charge.
  12. He is.
  13. Tims winning 3-0 in Belgium tonight. They will probably qualify for Europa League now. Only bright spot was Brown going off injured.
  14. Can see it being another shitfest. Saints have our number so can see us going with a very similar formation to Sunday. In Lift then pub Y Pub then inlaws for tea 1-0 Saints
  15. Squad in full Goalkeepers Jordan Archer (Millwall) Craig Gordon (Celtic) Allan McGregor (Hull City) Defenders Ikechi Anya (Derby County) Christophe Berra (Heart of Midlothian) Grant Hanley (Norwich City) Liam Cooper (Leeds United) Charlie Mulgrew (Blackburn Rovers) Andrew Robertson (Liverpool) Kieran Tierney (Celtic) Steven Whittaker (Hibernian) Midfielders Stuart Armstrong (Celtic) Barry Bannan (Sheffield Wednesday) Scott Brown (Celtic) Darren Fletcher (Stoke City) Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth) James Forrest (Celtic) James McArthur (Crystal Palace) John McGinn (Hibernian) James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion) Matt Phillips (West Bromwich Albion) Matt Ritchie (Newcastle United) Robert Snodgrass (Aston Villa)* Forwards Steven Fletcher (Sheffield Wednesday) Leigh Griffiths (Celtic) Chris Martin (Derby County)
  16. Not a manger but Russel Anderson has been appointed assistant manager at Formartine United.
  17. Just in case any one missed it semi final draw was Saturday 21/10 - Hibs v Celtic Sunday 22/10 - Tribute Act v Motherwell
  18. Only last month the Houston was being touted for the Hearts job.
  19. This. 4 central defenders and no width in midfield. Assuming it's a 3-5-2 but it could be anything.
  20. Would expect Brora to beat Civil. They are currently 9th in Lowland League. Nice set up there with two cover terraces on one side. Good sized social club as well.
  21. The full Second Round draw Banks O’Dee v Selkirk Berwick Rangers v Annan Athletic Buckie Thistle v BSC Glasgow or Dalbeattie Star Civil Service Strollers v Brora Rangers Cowdenbeath v East Kilbride Deveronvale v Glenafton Athletic Edinburgh City v Stenhousemuir Edinburgh University v Fraserburgh Elgin City v Edusport Academy or Rothes Formartine United v East Stirlingshire Keith v Clyde Montrose v Wick Academy or University of Stirling Nairn County v Cove Rangers Peterhead v Colville Park Spartans v Clachnacuddin Stirling Albion v Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale Ties to be played the weekend of 14 October 2017.
  22. 1st round results Banks ODee 4 Huntly 0 Brora 5 Girvan 0 Civil Service Strollers 2 Strathspey Thistle 1 Clachnacuddin 8 Fort William 0 Colville Park 2 Cumbernauld Colts 1 Deveronvale 3 Hawick Royal Albert 1 Edinburgh Univ 2 Lossiemouth 1 Edusport Academy 1 Rothes 1 Formartine United 2 Turriff United 1 Fraserburgh 2 Forres Mechanics 1 Gala Fairydean 0 Keith 2 Glenafton Athletic 4 Threave Rovers 0 Lothian Thistle 3 Inverurie Loco Works 2 Nairn County 1 Whitehill Welfare 0 Selkirk 4 Gretna 2008 0 Wick Academy 2 Stirling University 2 Only real shock is LTHV beating Locos. Banks of Dee again showing how ludicrous the decision to leave them out of Highland League was.
  23. After Thursday I think I will give this a miss tomorrow and just watch on TV. Would like to think we will start with Arnason at the back as he at least challenged Moult when he came on. I would be tempted to go with the back 4 Willie Miller suggested on the radio of Logan Arnason Considine and Shinnie. No idea who will be in the midfield as they were all shite on Thursday but Ball has to be returned to the bench or ideally Rotherham. Still think we need to go with 2 up front of Rooney and May. They need time to form an understanding but once they do they will score goals. This is where McInnes needs to show his worth and get a reaction from the team. Oot just now but may change my mind yet Flat or Train Flat or away end Flat or train back to Capital. Could be another defeat 2-0 Well.
  24. That had been coming sadly. We have not been playing well for a while and it was only the poor standard of opposition that has prevented us from losing before now. Motherwell bullied us from the off and not one of our players looke capable of standing up to them. Cannot understand why McInnes changed the back 4 as it was one of the bright spots from Saturday. Two awful mistakes from Joe which has been unlike him in his time here. Ball looks every inch a last munute panic signing.Very poor. Shinnie had another poor game to go with Saturday's. Really need to improve quickly as we have a difficult run of games ahead of us.
  25. Hibs through to semi finals after beating Franchise FC 3-2. Tribute Act need extra time to get passed Thistle 3-1. Tribute Act's progress means our league game at Snake Mountain will be moved as it clashes with League Cup semis.
