  1. Paton was at Dunfermline last season and moved to Dumbarton in the summer.
  2. He was.
  3. Surely its Cosgrove we need to get out on loan. May at least looked like scoring on Saturday and helped create chances including a couple for Cosgrove which he failed miserably to take. Cosgrove just looked totally out of his depth.

  5. Wilson injured his knee in 2016 and has only played 2 first team games since while on loan at Sheffield United according to soccerbase. As Manc says not the signing to excite the fans.
  6. Piss poor performance today against a shite Dundee side. Got a bit better once Anderson replaced Cosgrove and we at least looked like we carried some goal threat. Anderson has to start next week. Thought Gleeson again looked poor along with McGinn. GMS started poorly but got better as game progressed and Dundee fans started abusing him. We desperately need a striker in and also a number 10.
  7. Oh well 4th competitive game with no replacement for Rooney. Would like to think Anderson showing more attacking threat in 15 minutes than Cosgrove has in 3 games this season will mean he starts on Saturday. Would be tempted to go 4-4-2 with May up beside Anderson. Surely we don’t need 5 in midfield against Dundee. Would also play Harrington at right back at as I thought Ball was poor on Saturday. Not as bad as his cup final performance but still poor. Of course I have no idea what team McInnes will go with however. In Pub Away End Pub then family meal 2-0 Anderson and May
  8. Pretty sure Nowak went on trial elsewhere.
  9. This. Had no doubt they would get it rescinded as soon as they appealed.
  10. Sky also trying to help by saying “allegedly kicked” on reporting the appeal on SSN.
  11. If Harrington is any worse than Ball at right back then he would be as well looking at alternative employment.
  12. In the blazing sun with Polis who are liberal with their application of the drink driving laws it works. However in the pissing rain in Scotland with our drink driving laws it will be awful.
  13. Always going to struggle when your only attacking plan was to punt the ball at a target man who has no idea how to play the game never mind score. Anderson carried more threat in short time on the field than Cosgrove has in all his appearances so far. Thought we moved the ball far too slowly in midfield with Gleeson especially to blame. Think he and Forrester were maybe taken by surprise by pace of game. Ball at right back was as bad as expected. Hopefully Hoban back for next week. Would hope Anderson starts next week as he deserves to.
  14. First goal will be vital today. If it goes to the Tribute Act then we are up against it. Sadly no new striker in so we are still relying on May and Cosgrove to be the main goal threat which neither has looked like being so far. Would expect Hoban to replace Logan at right back and Ball to take his position in the middle from Thursday. In Pub for breakfast Y Lift back to Capital 0-0
  15. Funnily enough on of the directors mentioned US style tailgating as a potential benefit of Kingsford. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when he said it.
  16. Currently in the Wetherspoons in Preston debating another breakfast cider. As with last week cannot see where goals are coming from so hopefully we manage to win another penalty. Will have a window on sky scanner open with flights for Instanbul just in case. In Train (off that now) then beers in Preston Away end Beers Heart 0-1 The Swimmer head 2-0 Burnley.
  17. Getting close to start of season now so would have hoped we would have had a striker in by now.
  18. Surprisingly Celtic v Partick and Kilmarnock v Tribute Act have been selected as the TV games for first round.
  19. I went back to the pub after Dons game so cannot comment on crowd control that day. For the Rugby the A8 is usually closed to traffic after the game with pedestrian system split for those heading to town and those joining the queuing system for Haymarket. On the South side they usually have buses lined up to take fans straight down the Western approaches into town. Also now have the trams which run out to the oark and rides at Edinburgh Park and the Airport. Also with Haymarket being a main line station it has major advantage over stations around Hampden as it takes away the need to change trains in the centre of Glasgow to get anywhere else in the country.
  20. A few folk questioned why only a 2 point deduction on radio but nothing really mentioned.
  21. What links like this? https://www.facebook.com/100023840015754/posts/271688920302440/
  22. 2nd round draw Livingston v Motherwell Dundee v Ayr Utd Dunfermline v Hearts Kilmarnock v Rangers Aberdeen v St Mirren Partick Thistle v Celtic Hibs v Ross County Queen of the South v St Johnstone Ties to be played 18th & 19th August although BT Sport suggested possibly 17th as well.
  23. Young Dons side with a couple of trialists beat Arbroath 3-0 today. Bruce Anderson with all 3 for Dons.
  24. Groups finish after Hearts v ICT today and draw to be made for 2nd round after today game. Teams that are through as follows: Seeded teams: Celtic Aberdeen Tribute Act Hibs Ayr United Dunfermline St Johnstone Livingston/ICT (if ICT get 2 points against Hearts, they will qualify as seeds and Livi go through as an unseeded team. If Hearts win or draw and Hearts get bonus point, then Livingston get the final seeded place) non-seeded teams: Ross County Kilmarnock Dundee Motherwell St Mirren QOS and 2 teams out of: Partick/Livingston/Hearts/ICT that depends on the result tomorrow
  25. If the option is give money to the SRU or rent the stadiums from the arse cheeks then I know where I would rather the cash went. Murrayfield is best option for public transport but pitch is a bit far away on main stand side but no worse than Hampden.
