  1. Agree it seems an odd one for us to be linked with. Maybe they want him to play in middle to allow Shinnie to go to left back until end of season. Suspect this is just paper talk however.
  2. I remember thinking that prior to cup tie in 95. Turned out we were the ones who were horseshit. Given we have have just had a coupe of weeks off I see no reason not to start with the strongest team possible. By all means give some of the fringe players a run once we are winning the tie.
  3. Two days before an important cup tie and no match thread! Manc is really dropping the ball these days. Should have a good few back from injury to face a team we have never beaten in a competitive fixture. As we currently don’t have a left back would expect Hoban or Reynolds to partner McKenna in the centre of defence and Considine to move to left back. Would think GMS would return to midfield with McLennan dropping to bench which would be a bit unfair on the lad as he has played well since GMS injury. If May is fit no change up front. Oot - at the moment Flat Local game probably Leith v Musselburgh Flat 3-0 GMS Cosgrove and McGinn
  4. Sorry TC but I have to wonder if you have ever seen Ball play football with the above. His passing is nowhere near good enough. He is weak in the tackle (his piss poor attempt at a tackle that led to St Johnstone’s 2nd goal is an example of this) Defensively he is awful looks massively out of place at right back or centre half. Ball is at best a Championship level player and should not be anywhere near a team who intend challenging at the top of the table. Shinnie may not be playing at his own high standards this season he is still a far better player than Ball. Since he has been paired with Ferguson and coincidentally Ball out of the team he has looked a lot better.
  5. Really hope not as he is nowhere near the standard required to replace Shinnie.
  6. This. Would not be happy if we signed this waster.
  7. Hammer blow to Killie (and competition in our league) as Greg Stewart is recalled by Birmingham. Supposedly heading to Sunderland. This along with Jones signing precontract with Tribute Act will seriously weaken Killie making them less likely to do any damage to either of the arse cheeks.
  8. New York City schedule for you. https://www.nycfc.com/schedule Would recommend attending sporting event in the US if you get a chance Rocet as they do know how to do make it a an event. Plus they let you get booze at your seat.
  9. Doidge cannot play for Dons anyway as he has already played for Forrest Green and Bolton so cannot play for a third club this season.
  10. According to Accies accounts the transfer fee for Ferguson was £237,950.
  11. Cracking game between Man City and Liverpool. 2-1 win for Man City keeps English title race alive. Usually these games are bit of a let down but enjoyed that tonight.
  12. Maybe not a McNamara type the wage thief that he was.

    Happy New Year

Congratulations. Happy New Year to you all.
  14. Reading the articles none of them have any quotes from the clubs involved. Looks awful like an agent trying to get a move for his player rather than genuine interest.
  15. MK Dons also mentioned in other articles.
  16. McInnes said on BBC interview he is looking at bringing in a striker following Anderson’s injury. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46711254 Hoping this is him using Anderson’s injury as an excuse to protect our existing players as this something he needed to be doing anyway.
  17. If anyone is looking for pub on Saturday the Grand Cantral by Livingston North train station has said they will welcome Dons fans and will allow children in. It’s about a 25 minute walk to the ground from there.
  18. Just because you cannot make the game no reason not to start a match thread Manc. This could be a difficult game especially on their plastic pitch. Their home record is decent so we will need to be better than we were in 2nd half on Wednesday. Not sure what the injury situation is but hope we go with an attacking a line up as possible. Initial allocation is sold out and club has confirmed their will be a cash gate. In A pub in roundaboutville somewhere Away end Train back to capital 2-0 May double
  19. Really hope we stick with 2 upfront as do think that is main reason that we are getting goals in last few games and neither May or Cosgrove looks capable of playing the loan striker role. If Lowe is injured would like to see Shinnie going back to left back with Gleeson going in beside Ferguson in the middle of the field as he offers more than Ball in an attacking sense. Dims have the annoying habit of winning important games especially when teams get close to them. Have a horrible feeling that will be repeated tomorrow especially if we set up defensively. In (hopefully) Lift up the road Y Lift back to capital 1-2 with May getting Dons goal.
  20. Hoban is due back in January but given his track record with injury and fact he is a centre half I would not want just to rely on him.
  21. Always the danger when using the loan market. As him going back was always a possibility I would hope we another player lined up as a replacement and do not plan to try and muddle through with Considine at left back until the end of Season.
  22. Facing a far better quality of team this weekend than we did in last couple of games and surprised by number of Dons fans who are convinced that we will win easily again. Expecting a much tougher game myself with Hearts players wanting to show they are not as bad as their capitulation to Livingston suggested. That said we have a confident winning team so no changes to team that started against Dundee for me. Can see this being 1-0 either way. Fucked up personally on this one as forgot to book the train so going to cost £50 plus now if I decide to go. ETA - Going to get a supporters bus up. In Bus and hopefully time for a pint Y Bus back to capital. 1-0 McGinn
  23. Both to Sunderland was rumour going round at game on Saturday.
  24. Loath to change a winning team but as others have said I do think both Shinnie and Ferguson's form have dipped in recent weeks and Ferguson especially could probably do with a rest. Would like to see Forrester and/or Gleeson get starts as we need to find out now if either is going to contribute this season. Would keep May and Cosgrove as a pair up front for this one as do not see Dundee as any better than St Mirren so they should get some joy again although Dundee's defenders did handle Cosgrove easily back in August. Oot as public transport is shite in this country if you want to travel after 9pm. Work Flat Flat 2-0 May and McGinn
