Assuming Jensen at left back then was really hoping Mackenzie would be back at left back to give us at least one left footed defender on the field.

Played mainly at right back for ADO and his games for Mcabbi seem to have been split between right back and centre back. Only went to Israel in the summer and played nearly all Mcabbi’s games this season so seems odd they would be letting him go. Player himself could of course have decided living beside and taking money from homicidal maniacs isn’t great and asked to move. Seems and odd one for us given we have signed Tobers and Jensen this month who both already can play role this lad does.

No goals in 17 games in Serbian top flight and no assists. Really hope not as that’s not just the bottom of the barrel but the under side of it being scraped.

Depends what you are looking for. Plenty of city centre hotels going from your standard Preimer Inns/Travellodges to the boutique type hotels out the Queens Road. Loads of decent bars in centre of town and really depends on if your looking for real ale type place or somewhere with younger crowd. Since Bairn was born lost track on restaurants not called McDonalds sadly but plenty of chain restaurants in Union Square that are always busy enough to suggest foods not terrible. As for Dorrington on the limited viewing of him I can see why Spurs didn’t play him even when he was one of only two fit centre backs on their books. Don’t think he looks anywhere near ready for games at our level let alone EPl. For that reason alone think we have to go with Rubi. Midfield I would go with one of Shinnie or Nilsen not both. Palaversa in with one of them with Clarkson in fromt of them. I would be tempted to switch Okkels and Keskinen round and have Keskinen on the left where he has played his best stuff for us. Okkels has looked very righted footed for a left winger and would like to see him on the right. Up front any one from Gueye, Duk or Nisbet and hope something works. In flat then 60 second stroll to ground away end 60 second stroll back to flat. 1-2 Clarkson and Okkels.

I am guessing he is being let go as MacKenzie is here until the summer. Would be madness to go without any naturally left footed defenders in the team. I thought McGarry was defensively poor in most games. Looked a level below what we need.

Has Akindileni not just turned 17? Think most would have questioned a 17 year old playing at centre back regularly. As an aside this does highlight an issue where English clubs are targeting players coming out of Scottish clubs academy sides that seems to be increasing again. This will be second player we have lost to English Championship teams in last year.

Fans had turned on him and wanted him out but you would think he would wait for pay off rather than quit. Suggests he might have an alternative offer.

Got to think that means Mackenzie is not leaving in this window as would leave us with no left footed defenders at the club.

Quiet day at work Rico? I do agree that not having the technical director in place is maybe starting to look a little odd now and was something that should have been done before manager was hired. In Germany it is the technical/sporting director that drives the club policy and ethos and he is the man responsible for getting in the coach to work towards achieving that. Technical director should also be involved in setting recruitment policy. I doubt we are scouting a lot of these players. I suspect they are identified off the analytics only rather than a combination of both. For example I cannot believe anyone went and watched Ambrose and thought he would do a job in our league. We seem to be signing a combination of players already known to the manager or players whose stats tick a box. Transfers this window do not seem to have been focused on areas of greatest need.
