  1. Amazed that they don't do that. Especially since we're more successful than we were a few years ago. Crazy how empty it is there in comparison to other areas of the ground. Folk with kids happier to pay a bit more for a better view? Edit: Good read on the BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33734412
  2. Can't say this has ever happened to me, but what a nightmare!
  3. Just to put this into even more context, Roma have just agreed a fee of £14m for Edin Dzeko. I know who I'd rather spend £14m on. Quality player. Sad to see him leave England if i'm honest, always thought he'd be better suited at a club like Arsenal or even Man utd.
  4. Excellent lunch time reading! Thanks for posting
  5. Done. Good to see a few more have joined this season
  6. Would you really drop Goodwillie though? Can't see that happening after he was rested on the weekend and his performances in the qualifiers thus far. I see Willo wants to see us all have a few more jars before the game to create a brilliant atmosphere. I'm sure we can oblige Also, this to me sums up DM and why I love him:
  7. Will get round to setting up my team again tomorrow
  8. How that was possible is beyond me! Love how the commentator just laughed at every infraction!
  9. Welcome aboard! Can't argue with any of that, especially relating to our games with the dhims. but hey ho, 3 points and happy days!
  10. Mental. Absolutely mental.
  11. Massive game on thursday, a cheeky 1-0 win and we will see ourselves through to the play offs. Whether we can progress into the group stages is another thing, but the play offs are certainly achievable. Thanks to Tom and his stats, it got my hopes up and it would appear they don't travel well. However, they haven't had a game in-between our previous fixture so will have additional rest. Pittodrie will hopefully be full, already nearly 15,000 tickets have been sold, so plenty of glory hunters are going to be in attendance, myself included. Will be my first trip to Pittodrie in years! DM will have the team mentally prepared and the season has proved so far that this team knows how to dig deep. Can't see us really shifting formation from that of last week though it would be nice to see DG get a goal for his european efforts. In / out: In Pre matcher: wherever the globes contingent are meeting Match: Section Y Post matcher: Hopefully celebrating! Prediction: 2-0 dons, Hayes and DG.
  12. Second round draw was made today, quelle surprise that a certain newco team has an easy ride...but it will be a newco derby Ross County FC v Ayr United Forfar Athletic Football Club v Heart of Midlothian F.C. Kilmarnock F.C. v Berwick Rangers FC Raith Rovers F.C. v Hamilton Academical F.C. Queen of the South Football Club v Greenock Morton F.C. Dunfermline Athletic FC v Dundee Football Club Partick Thistle Football Club v Falkirk Football Club East Fife F.C. v Motherwell FC Hibernian Football Club v Stranraer FC Airdrieonians F.C. v The Rangers FC St Mirren FC v Livingston Football Club A couple of decent ties in there, possible banana skin for county.
  13. Haha I think he definitely meant to do what he did, whether he thought it would beat the keeper is another thing though. https://streamable.com/puok Pleasing to watch. Very pleasing, they are going to struggle this season and I think Stooge has hit the nail on the head in the other thread. Oddly enough I was thinking that Smith should go on loan. Not the finished article and didn't anything to set the heather alight today which is something I've thought of every time he plays. He makes some good runs and seems to have a decent touch, but just looks a bit lightweight.
  14. Watching the game back now, he's finally got some confidence which he clearly lacked after he arrived. Great to see, keep it up!
  15. Agree about the new album, wasn't convinced but luckily they played their classics too! Ended on phat planet

    Celeb Deaths

Was surprised by this one, very young really!
  17. No real surprises apart from the omission of jack and inclusion of smith! Hope he steps up to the plate this season, definitely has the potential. Aberdeen: Ward, Logan, Taylor, Quinn, Considine, Shinnie, McLean, Flood, Hayes, Smith, Rooney. Subs: Brown, McGinn, Robson, Pawlett, Goodwillie, Jack, Wright.
  18. Agree with TC, last season was the season we would have won the title if at all. We bottled it against the dhims which is where the league was effectively lost. They have obviously strengthened, as have we but it is all proportional. Hearts, as happy as I am to see them back as it's one of my favourite away days, are a bogey team. Doesn't matter how push they are, we usually bottle it at the pink cow shed. We'll do fantastically well to get a points tally anywhere near last season, but I think a cemented second place with a cup win and at least a semi in the other, i'll be more than pleased. We do need to strengthen, centre mid and striker for me. I don't doubt DM knows who he wants, but it may be a sliding scale in terms of what is available depending on our Euro endeavours. I would definitely prefer to keep Shinnie in the position we need him, it's a joy to have two full backs!
  19. Ooft, Killie 0 - Dundee 4. Greg Stewart with a a couple of decent goals apparently. Killie signed rejects from Sevco, can't see them doing much this season. Dundee have made some shrewd moves over the course of the summer so should make top 6 no bother. Seems like my question marks over Caley are correct, certainly for today at least. Not a shot on target today against Motherwell.
  20. Even Delia pretty much admitted he should have been off. Same old gollum. Motherwell up at Caley. I cant see caley doing as well as they did last season.
  21. I think they're a bit of an unknown quantity to be honest. Don't think we'll win 3-0, but I still think we'll have enough to win. Its a true test of the squad imo. Seeing how they can cope with Europe and league fixtures.
  22. Bit in bold especially. You can tell her really communicates with the defence in front of him. He seems to collect most crosses that come into his area. A noticeable difference from last season, well especially with langfield is that the defence are happy to pass it back to him.
  23. Well, dhims up 1-0 already...Griffiths penalty in the 4th min...
  24. Saw them at glasto after years of wanting to. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Enjoy!
