  1. A lot of folk saying LVG pulled the plug on the transfer rather than Pedro rejecting United. Not sure how much truth there is in that, I'd say money probably talked. Possibly above falcao, or he'll play instead of Willian and cuadrado
  2. Well doesn't look like there is any chance of malmo causing the dhims much trouble. 2-0 down already
  3. I use Firefox on my mac. Safari seems to have endless problems with it
  4. Decent podcast review of the game:
  5. Well, well, well. Chelski sign Pedro from under united noses.
  6. Agreed, as well as the fact he has played with most of them for a good number of years. They are all familiar and accept their roles within the team almost without being instructed.
  7. Have to say, I've definitely thought he's grown into the role relatively easily and seems to be flourishing. Good on you Jack, keep up the good work!
  8. Replicated the first teams victory against Motherwell yesterday: http://www.afc.co.uk/news/6605#.VdRBA_lVhBc
  9. Holy shit, what happened to Falkirk last night?!?! Lost 5-3 to Peterhead!
  10. Dandy Don, Mentor and MadBad are all USA residing Dons. Until I upgraded my browser recently, it used to take ages for anything to load. It's now ok, but can't say i've ever had a problem with their customer service since the upgrade
  11. Lol, they clearly checked his Wiki! Although there does seem to be some confusion as to where he was born, some say Reykjavik, others Gothenburg Never forget the face when a few of us went to the Leyton Orient - Rotherham game a few years back. He was the only one who smiled when we started signing at him. Other former dons looked petrified
  12. Named by Martin O'neil for the Oirish squad
  13. Even the worlds biggest reference point has him down as our scout (i know i know) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McMaster_(footballer) But unless he's Mark Magoo, who else really keeps their wiki up to date so you may well be right.
  14. That's what I thought, unless he's been moonlighting?
  15. Aye, they probably hate us more than their pretend larger neighbours. 14,786 Add another 1,000 if the sun is shining
  16. Definitely worth purchasing. Especially since the SPFL youtube content is shite this season.
  17. Ha, of course not, as fans we should question everything! As i said, I also think he's indecisive, my point was more if DM thinks he's the best person for that position at the moment, i'm ok with that despite my personal differences. Probably also because I don't get to watch us as often as i'd like...
  18. I quote from 5's at Firhill circa 2013: "you can tell you're a defender, you've got the positional sense". That not why you flew me in anyway?
  19. I like Taylor, but definitely think he's a bit of a bomb scare at times. Being a defender myself, I often thinks he panics and there is an indecisiveness about him. However, he has vastly improved and does score big goals like he did on Saturday. I trust McInnes in who he puts in the team. I really hope Logan picks his game up. He seems to be off the boil since his mrs had his latest child. That said, you will always be able to trust him to make a last ditch tackle, he is excellent at those.
  20. Excellent to see us getting 3/3 so far. Long may it continue. Anyone at the game today ? Looked like a great support, both tiers open!
  21. Cunning plan to help the huns out that's for sure! Amusing nonetheless though, some of the sevconian patter on fezbook would leave you thinking he's the messiah!
  22. The road to the east of the stadium is pedestrian only except in the event of emergency, however there is also an access road to the stadium (beneath the west stand) which connects in to the road to the south. But this isn't for public use. The road to the east is highly contentious as the planners wanted it to be wider, but devopers being what they are obviously haven't changed this for optimisation reasons. I wouldn't say that its any easier, given that this is on the Wimbledon dog track site , but that's a whole other debate. Fortunately the support for the wimbleDons to move back to plough lane are greater (not the same site as the original). One of the biggest differences here would be rights to light which might come in to play, I've not seen which side the windows are on in the apartments behind the south stand but would have thought that would massively hinder the height of the stand if they're on then wrong side. Obviously the points you raise are also all completely valid but there could be clever ways around this.
  23. Got the Motherwell 6-5 classic game on now https://redtv.afc.co.uk/archive/433
  24. Look forward to seeing it Tom! I think you'd be surprised though, as I said (probably earlier in this thread), the AFC wimbledon stadium which is far from ideal given the constraints we've had to work with, is on a footprint similar to that of the existing Pittodrie. Essentially, to the west of the land there is an existing set of substations - no access, to the south and east and part of the north is part of the master plan (i.e. residential) as well as other tenancies, however the club had very little say and have had to deal with what they have been given. The planners have criticised the master plan (Sheppard Robson) as it doesn't allow the stadium enough space to breath. I am certain that we could redevelop Pittodrie, however whether the costs would allow that to happen is a whole different thing. Neighbour issues as well would play a role, but it's certainly not impossible. The above is for the 20K final solution, whereas the first phase would be 11K (1 permanent stand and 3 temporary, 1 being standing). In terms of dealing with the public / housing frontage, the stadium will use a different set of materials which would usually be associated with a stadium for this very reason. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out after a few years.
  25. I would say, generally his good signings are obvious ones. Ones that have a proven track record in the SPL/SPFL. Have nothing wrong with that because its great to be in a position where we can actually attract the obvious players. That said, he's picked a couple out of left field in Logan, hector and ward which have worked out well (so far).
